Success can become a hiding place and nobody ever stages an intervention for it. In this solo episode, Jeff Luther unpacks how achievement, ambition, and "doing the hard things" can quietly become the most socially acceptable way to avoid the parts of life you don't want to face.

Jeff walks through the moment he stood in his backyard, sprinkler system running, and thought "I've made it" followed almost immediately by a sinking feeling in his stomach. From there, he breaks down what he calls the hedonic treadmill of achievement, the real difference between wanting something and needing it, and why healthy habits like work, exercise, and personal development can turn into unhealthy hiding places without anyone including you noticing.

You'll hear about:

  • Why success is a hiding place nobody questions
  • The difference between wanting to accomplish something and needing to accomplish something
  • How Jeff used training and running to avoid a marriage he wasn't happy in
  • Why providing for your family and giving yourself to your family are not the same thing
  • The one question Jeff now asks before chasing any new goal

Jeff Luther is the host of All Can No Can't, a podcast built around the mindset he adopted after a life-altering diagnosis: that it's always your choice between can and can't. He now coaches entrepreneurs and leaders on facing fear, dropping excuses, and building lives on their own terms.

Grief and anger after losing a child to suicide can live in the same breath and Stephanie Renner isn't afraid to say that out loud. She's back on All Can. No Can't. for a raw, honest follow-up conversation with Jeff Luther about her son Jordan, and what it really looks like to keep living after.

This episode goes places the first conversation didn't. Jeff asks Stephanie point-blank if she ever gets angry at Jordan, and what follows is an honest look at anger as a real stage of grief, not a betrayal of love. Stephanie talks about the surreal moments when she forgets Jordan is gone, the guilt of feeling relief, and a "sign" on Mother's Day that put one of her biggest fears to rest for good.

Stephanie also opens up about something most people never talk about: falling in love again after losing a child, and the guilt that came with letting herself be happy. She and Jeff talk through what it means to model a healthy relationship for the kids still here, and why "you did everything you could" is often the wrong thing to say to a grieving parent.

Stephanie Renner is a former attorney turned grief and resilience coach, and the creator of the Regret to Resilience framework. She now helps parents and professionals move through grief, guilt, and regret without needing to "move on."

Who are you becoming, not who you are. That's the question at the center of this solo episode of All Can No Can't, and Jeff Luther unpacks why it changes more decisions than any goal ever will.

Jeff traces the question back to a conversation with his son about forging a ring, then into the middle of his own divorce, when things got said about him that weren't true, or only partly true. He explains why the partial truths are the dangerous ones, the way they stick and reinforce the labels other people try to hand you, and the moment in his garage when he decided: maybe those things were true once, maybe they weren't. But they're not true right now.

From there he walks through why "who am I" is the wrong question entirely, because it assumes you're standing still. You're not. Every decision, big or small, is casting a vote for who you're becoming, and Jeff shares how he's drilled "decisions follow you" into his three sons for years, and how that phrase has grown up right alongside them.

He closes with a reader comment that reframed everything for him and one practical filter you can run before your next decision: does this help build who I want to become?

Jeff Luther is the founder of All Can No Can't and Jeff Luther Speaking & Coaching, and owner of Home-Probe Inc. Since surviving sudden cardiac death, he's coached entrepreneurs and leaders through fear, identity, and taking ownership of their lives.

Chasing perfection is why most of us never start. Jeff Luther shares the story of his son Knox, a hand-forged ring, and the blind spot he didn't see in himself until he was coaching his kid through it.

Knox wants to forge a ring far beyond his skill level. Jeff tries to help him shortcut his way there, then catches himself mid-sentence — because the advice he's giving his son is advice he desperately needs himself. He'd been stalling on launching a newsletter for weeks, chasing a perfect title, a perfect system, a perfect first article. Sound familiar?

This episode is about the myth of certainty — we want proof something will work before we're willing to start, but certainty never comes first. Experience does. Jeff also unpacks a heavier truth: decisions don't just create consequences, they create who you become. Every choice, every promise kept or broken, is a vote for the person you're turning into.

Whether your "ring" is a business, a book, a hard conversation, or twenty pounds you've been meaning to lose, this episode will meet you exactly where you're stuck.

Jeff also shares his current challenge — 50 complimentary coaching conversations in 30 days, no pitch attached, just real conversation for anyone who needs one.

Subscribe to All Can No Can't for weekly conversations on resilience, ownership, and turning obstacles into opportunities. If this one lands, share it with someone chasing their own ring.

Letting go of regret is different than letting go of grief and that
difference might be the thing keeping you stuck. Attorney and speaker
Stephanie Renner joins Jeff Luther to talk about losing her son Jordan to
suicide, and the Regret to Resilience method she built out of that loss.

This isn't a polished, safe conversation. Jeff asks Stephanie the question
he says he didn't feel good asking whether there was ever bitterness
mixed into the love and gratitude she carries for Jordan. From there,
they get into what regret actually is: the "if onlys" that convince us we
had control we never had. Stephanie shares why she believes the
phrase "you did everything you could" can quietly imply blame instead of
removing it, and why the real freedom comes from accepting that the
past was never yours to control in the first place.

Together, Jeff and Stephanie talk about grieving a future you thought
you'd have birthdays, Sunday dinners, the person who should still be
in the room and the complicated, honest truth that relief and love can
show up in the same moment without canceling each other out.
Stephanie Renner spent nearly 25 years as an attorney advising CEOs
and entrepreneurs through high-stakes decisions. After losing her son
Jordan to suicide, she created the Regret to Resilience method and now
speaks and coaches on grief, regret, and moving forward without
needing to "move on."

If you've been carrying an "if only," this episode gives you one honest
place to start setting it down. Subscribe and follow All Can. No Can't. for
more conversations that turn obstacles into opportunities and if you or
someone you love needs to talk to someone right now, 988 is there for
exactly that.

Fitness for busy entrepreneurs is less about the workout and more about the behavior change that gets you there. In this episode of All Can No Can't, Jeff Luther sits down with Matt Meyers, head of coaching at Nerd Fitness, to talk about why the all-or-nothing mindset that makes entrepreneurs successful is the exact thing that wrecks their relationship with fitness.

Matt's been coaching for 16 years. His best certifications weren't the ones on the wall they were getting married, having kids, and sitting at a desk job long enough to understand what real life actually feels like. That empathy is what Nerd Fitness is built on.

In this conversation, Jeff and Matt break down why smart, capable people keep falling off the fitness wagon not because they lack discipline, but because they're going to the gym as someone who already feels behind. When the gym becomes the place you feel like a piece of crap instead of the place where you're gaining ground, you're going to avoid it. That's not a character flaw. That's just how humans work.

Matt talks through what fitness for busy entrepreneurs actually looks like: behavior change first, then programming. Ten-minute wins that count. Movement snacks throughout the day. Starting where you are, using what you have, and doing what you can. And the one insight that sticks you never start from zero. Every time you come back, you bring all the knowledge, skills, and experience from every attempt before it.

Jeff shares the story of his 21-year-old son and what happened when he discovered the kid made his bed and why it proved that modeling behavior does more than any lecture ever could.

If you've started over more times than you want to count, this episode meets you exactly where you
are.

Limiting beliefs about success, money, and worthiness don't go away with affirmations. Joel Bein — founder of Human Liberation — explains why, and then removes one of mine live on air.

Joel has cleared nearly 2,000 of his own limiting beliefs using a 15-minute process he calls belief clearing. The core idea: beliefs aren't feelings or facts — they're interpretations we hatched in our minds, usually before age seven, to make sense of overwhelming experiences. And once you help the subconscious see that the belief was never actually true, it disappears. Permanently. Like finding out Santa Claus isn't real.

In this episode we dig into why most mindset work doesn't stick, how the addiction to busyness is really a belief problem, the difference between healthy hustle and compulsive hustle, and why imposter syndrome is just your subconscious keeping score against a belief you never chose.

Hakeem Born McFarlane speaker, coach, and founder of the Choose Yourself movement joins Jeff Luther to talk about what it actually takes to rebuild your life from zero.

Hakeem's story involves losing his little brother to cancer at 16, chasing identity through Division I sports, battling addiction and incarceration, and ultimately rebuilding his life on a foundation of radical self-honesty and daily systems. This isn't a redemption story. It's a story about responsibility.

In this episode, Jeff and Hakeem get into the Choose Yourself philosophy what it means, where it came from (eight days in isolation), and how the boundary bullseye framework helps you stop building your life from the outside in. They also dig into forgiveness, the real cost of choosing yourself, and what self-belief actually requires when no one's watching.

How entrepreneurs use AI to grow their business isn't a future conversation anymore. It's a right-now conversation. And Ethan King is one of the few people teaching it in a way that actually sticks.

In this episode of All Can No Can't, Jeff sits down with his former coach, the guy who helped him cross his first million dollars in his home inspection business, to talk about what Ethan's been building since then. Spoiler. It's not just ChatGPT prompts.

Ethan walks through the moment he built his first AI agent and got the word "done" back in minutes for work that would've taken weeks. He explains the difference between an income statement and a balance sheet, and why so many entrepreneurs confuse top-line revenue with what's actually in the bank. He breaks down why people fear AI, why fancy prompting isn't the answer, and the simple shift that makes ChatGPT actually work for you. The same shift you'd use telling your kids how to clean the garage.

They get into Ethan's books. Wealth Beyond Money, ChatGPT to Double Your Business in 90 Days, and his latest, Done, which hit number one in 28 categories across three countries. They also unpack the six levels of AI, why most social posts fall flat, and how to use AI to stay consistent in your own voice across every platform.

Ethan's core message: you can have it all. Whatever "all" means to you. You just have to grab the tools and apply them.

If you've been overwhelmed by AI or stuck pretending it doesn't apply to your business, this episode is your starting line.

You already made it. You just forgot to notice. In this solo episode, Jeff Luther unpacks the hedonic treadmill and why high performers keep moving the goalposts on themselves.

Jeff was listening to Ed Mylett talk about hell being meeting the person you could have been. And it sat heavy. Because Jeff lives in that world. Ambition. Growth. Hard things. One more rep. One more call. He gets it. He loves it. He's lived it.
But here's the question he can't shake. What happens when becoming better is the only scoreboard?

When the bar keeps moving and you never feel like you arrived?
In this episode Jeff tells two stories that hit different now. The corporate card that landed on his desk at Georgia-Pacific. The first conference trip his own company paid for. Moments the younger version of him would have been blown away by. Moments he never stopped to celebrate. Because the extraordinary becomes the ordinary fast. The thing you prayed for turns into a normal Tuesday.

This episode is a push back on toxic ambition without throwing ambition out the window. Ambition and satisfaction are not enemies. You can want more and appreciate now. You can chase excellence and still notice what you've already built.

Jeff also shares his free Success Reflection Guide. Two honest questions to sit with this week. What is something normal in your life today that younger you would be blown away by? And what are you really chasing, and what do you believe it'll finally make you feel? Because sometimes we aren't chasing the thing. We're chasing what we believe the thing will make us feel.

If you're an entrepreneur, a high achiever, a builder who can't seem to slow down long enough to take it in, this one is for you. Keep chasing excellence. Just don't sprint past your own life.

Why do high performers stay busy? And what is all that motion actually hiding? In this solo episode of All Can No Can’t, Jeff Luther unpacks the difference between ambition and avoidance and what your nervous system has been trying to tell you for a long time.

A few days ago I had to come off my beta blockers ahead of surgery. For the last couple years that medication has been quietly turning down the volume on every skipped beat. Coming off of it, I’m feeling every single one. Around 15,000 a day. And what hit me wasn’t the beats. It was what I was doing to avoid them. Pressing my chest against a speaker in the gym, just to drown out the rhythm I didn’t want to hear.

That’s what most of us are doing in our lives. Different speaker. Same avoidance.

Inside this episode: Why high performers glorify busy and what it actually costs us. How you can be wildly productive and deeply disconnected at the same time. The difference between running toward purpose and running away from yourself. What I want my boys to actually remember about me. And the question I think most entrepreneurs are afraid to ask themselves.

If you’ve been sprinting through life and you’re not totally sure what you’re running from anymore, this one is for you.

Want a real conversation? I’m opening complimentary clarity calls. No pitch.

Letting go of bitterness doesn't mean reconciliation—it means freedom. In this episode, Jeff Luther gets brutally honest about why we hold onto anger and what it costs us.

You can't hold bitterness and peace in the same place. When you stay mad at someone, you're not punishing them—you're carrying them into rooms they were never invited into. You're replaying past hurt when they're miles away. The cost? Everything. Your energy, your focus, your presence with people who actually love you.

Jeff explores why acceptance isn't the same as approval, how to stop taking painful patterns personally, and the simple question that changes everything: Do you want to be right, or do you want to be free?

This episode breaks down:

  • Why disgust isn't healing
  • The difference between accepting reality and endorsing what's wrong
  • How winter doesn't apologize—and why that matters
  • The real reason people hurt others
  • Your path to peace

If you're tired of carrying bitterness, this one's for you.

Overcoming fear of failure is easier said than done — unless you've flatlined in a hospital bed and had no choice but to figure it out. That's exactly what happened to Chris Woods.

Chris is a former Google sales executive, C-suite leader, Harvard mid-career program grad, and now executive coach to high-achieving men who look successful on paper but know something's off. When cardiac Lyme disease sent him to the hospital at 40 — the exact age his father died — he flatlined, was revived, and woke up with a pacemaker, 50 more years ahead of him, and one question he couldn't shake: What would I do differently?

His answer became the Balls and Brains framework — and it's what we dig into here. We cover why high achievers are often the most fear-driven people in the room, the thought-emotion-action rewiring method that breaks the cycle, and one question you can ask yourself today that costs nothing and changes everything. Chris also shares how tools like Clifton Strengths and the Enneagram reveal not just who you are — but exactly how fear shows up for you and how to use that.

If you've ever felt trapped in a life that looks fine from the outside, this one's for you.

Role models for personal growth are already around you. The problem isn't finding them — it's that you keep dismissing them, and that's costing you more than you think.

In this solo episode, Jeff Luther gets real about a pattern most of us never admit: every time we find a flaw in someone ahead of us, we use that flaw to justify standing still. No change. No growth. Just the same version of ourselves, wearing a really convincing story.

Jeff breaks down why criticizing role models is a defense mechanism — and how what annoys you about someone like Goggins, Gary Vee, or Mark Cuban might be the exact thing you're avoiding in your own life. He calls it projection. And once you see it, you can't unsee it.

Feeling unqualified to own a business? That's not a warning sign — it's a growth signal. Jeff Luther breaks down why nobody starts ready in entrepreneurship, and what to do about it.

A brand-new business owner — sharp, corporate background, strong operator — sat across from Jeff and said, "I don't think I'm qualified to own a business." And Jeff realized: that's every entrepreneur he's ever known.

In the corporate world, someone decides when you're ready. You get promotions, reviews, certifications. There's a structure. Entrepreneurship has none of that. No HR. No personnel director. No one taps you on the shoulder. You become qualified by doing the work.

Jeff shares the story of writing his payroll number above his office door — $7,300 every two weeks. What started as a target turned into the moment it all got real. That wasn't a goal on the wall. That was groceries. Mortgages. Christmas gifts. People's families depending on him. No certificate required. No one asked if he was ready.

Here's the truth: responsibility shows up before qualification. Problems show up, and we rise to solve them. That's how growth works. The real danger isn't feeling unqualified — it's waiting until you do. Because if you wait until you feel ready, you might be waiting for a day that never comes.

You don't have to be ready. You just have to be willing.

Most people don’t fail because they lack ability.
They fail because of the beliefs they’ve been conditioned to live by.

Beliefs about money.
Beliefs about risk.
Beliefs about what’s possible for them.

And if you don’t challenge that programming, it quietly controls everything.

In this episode of All Can, No Can’t, Jeff Luther sits down with Randy Gage—entrepreneur, bestselling author, and global speaker who went from a jail cell at 15 to building a multimillion-dollar career.

But this isn’t about success stories.
It’s about what had to change internally before anything external ever did.

Because nothing shifts… until your thinking does.

Surviving a widowmaker heart attack will rewire how you think about success, purpose, and what actually matters. In this episode, I talk with AJ Jones — a two-time widowmaker survivor who left a 20-year financial services career to help high achievers stop running on autopilot and start living in alignment.

AJ shares the full story of both heart attacks — the first one on a mountain bike trail in Marin County where he thought it was bad sushi, and the terrifying second one eight years later when he was alone in his shower and recognized the symptoms instantly. He opens up about the emotional wreckage of surviving twice, the therapy he leaned into immediately, and the moment his cardiologist told him to retire at 54.

Instead of retiring, AJ doubled down on his mission. He launched More, a career wellness platform built for Gen X professionals who are succeeding on paper but feel hollow inside — what AJ calls "numb success." We dig into the Japanese concept of ikigai, why purpose often starts with small acts of service, and how AJ asked himself "What do I really need?" every morning until the answer got clear enough to act on — including leaving California entirely.

We also get into the hedonic treadmill, why high achievers struggle with "enough," and whether starting over is really starting over or just stepping into a new chapter with all the wisdom you've already earned.

AJ Jones is the founder of More (bemorealigned.com), host of Code Three: Life Reinvented, and a living example that you don't need permission to live differently — and you definitely shouldn't wait for a heart attack to figure that out.

What does it actually take to go from 315 pounds and "busy but broke" to 100 pounds lighter and $15 million in documented sales? According to Drewbie Wilson, it starts with one small decision made consistently — not a dramatic transformation, not a motivational breakthrough. Just discipline applied daily until it becomes identity.

Drewbie Wilson is the founder of Call the Damn Leads, author of four bestselling books, and creator of the Crush the Day Before It Crushes You philosophy. He helps entrepreneurs and sales teams cut through the noise, stop overcomplicating their process, and execute the repeatable basics that actually drive results.

In this conversation, Jeff and Drewbie get into:

  • The moment Drewbie realized motivation was costing him progress — and what he built instead
  • How a simple morning walk nine years ago became the foundation for everything that followed
  • Why salespeople resist proven systems even when the data proves they work
  • The real difference between a genuine mindset block and an excuse dressed up as one
  • How fear of rejection quietly shuts down sales activity — and how to coach through it
  • The one non-negotiable daily action Ruby recommends for anyone who feels overwhelmed and behind

This is not a highlights reel conversation. Ruby rebuilt his life the hard way, and this episode shows what that actually looks like.

Dyslexia in children doesn't have to be a life sentence — and in this episode, Dr. Rebecca Troy is here to prove it. She's an educational neuroscientist, nationally board-certified literacy teacher, TED speaker, and mom who has spent over 20 years helping struggling readers. What makes her different? She brings the intervention home. No waiting lists, no institutions — just parents equipped with the knowledge and tools to actually change their child's brain.

Jeff and Dr. Troy get into the real stuff in this one. They talk about why dyslexia has nothing to do with intelligence (in fact, most kids who have it are wickedly smart), the two warning signs that parents miss most often, and why the "he's just not trying" assumption is so dangerous. They also dig into the neuroscience — what's actually happening in the brain when a dyslexic child tries to read — and why neuroplasticity means real change is always possible.

And then there's Caleb. Ten years old, multiple diagnoses, reading at the 7th percentile. Four and a half months later — 79th percentile. Because his mom refused to accept the ceiling someone else put on her son.

This episode is for every parent who's felt that gut-punch of knowing something's off but not knowing what to do about it. It's for the parents who've been told to wait it out. And it's for the ones who are ready to stop outsourcing their kid's future to a system that wasn't designed with their child in mind.

There’s a quiet crisis happening—especially among high performers.
People who’ve “made it,” climbed the ladder, checked every box… and still feel empty, unseen, and disconnected from meaning.

This conversation cuts straight into that uncomfortable truth.

John Miles, former U.S. Navy officer, Fortune 50 executive, and creator of Passion Struck, opens up about the moment success stopped feeling like success—and why achievement without mattering slowly erodes your identity, your health, and your relationships.

This episode is for leaders, entrepreneurs, and driven professionals who feel pressure to perform but secretly wonder if the life they’re building is costing them something deeper.

You’ll hear how:
Chasing success can quietly numb fulfillment
High-level leadership often increases invisibility, not significance
Ego, fear, and performance culture disconnect us from meaning
Mattering—not motivation—is the foundation of resilience
True leadership empowers autonomy instead of control

John shares deeply personal moments—facing a home intruder at gunpoint, losing a close friend to suicide, and realizing the cost of passing performance-based worth down to his children. These moments forced a reckoning: what are you waiting for?

This isn’t about abandoning ambition.
It’s about redefining it.

Key Takeaways:
Success without meaning leads to emotional numbness and burnout
Feeling “never enough” is often rooted in not feeling seen or valued
Leaders unintentionally make people feel invisible by over-directing
Empowerment builds resilience; control destroys it
Purpose is found through work, love, suffering—and service to others
Progress requires long-term vision paired with daily intentional action
Ego is the most common blind spot of high performers

Jeff brings this conversation home by connecting mattering to leadership, responsibility, and resilience—the core of All Can, No Can’t. When people feel they matter, they don’t need motivation. They take ownership.

If you’ve ever wondered why success didn’t feel the way you thought it would—or sensed there’s more you’re meant to do—this episode will challenge how you define fulfillment.

00:00 – Feeling invisible at the peak of success
03:50 – Why achievement doesn’t equal fulfillment
08:00 – The mattering crisis explained
15:20 – When performance becomes identity
19:45 – Trauma, loss, and the moment everything changed
23:00 – How to find meaning again
26:30 – Leadership behaviors that make people feel unseen
31:25 – The Bee & Turtle Effect (vision + daily action)
36:30 – Ego: the biggest blind spot of high performers
40:45 – Why teaching mattering must start with children

Some people lose everything and call it “starting over.”
Others call it what it really is: a continuation. Another season. Another chance to decide what kind of person you’re going to be when the plan falls apart.

In this episode, Jeff sits down with a longtime broadcaster who’s 12 years sober from alcohol, still doing the work, and honest about the parts of recovery that don’t fit in neat, motivational soundbites: shame that lives in the body, the fear of being alone with your own thoughts, and the reality that “getting better” is a choice… but not always a simple one.

This conversation is for anyone who’s tired of pretending they’re fine. If you’re carrying pressure, managing a business, leading a family, rebuilding after a loss, or trying to stay sober—emotionally or chemically—this one will hit.

Who this episode is for
Entrepreneurs and leaders who feel like they’re “holding it together” but are privately exhausted

Anyone navigating sobriety, relapse fear, shame, or emotional volatility
People who’ve been knocked sideways by life (health, identity, job loss, family stress) and refuse to stay down

Listeners who want real tools and lived perspective—not hype

What you’ll hear in this episode
A raw, grounded conversation about recovery, responsibility, and what it looks like to stop running from yourself.
You’ll hear about:
Why addiction isn’t a “choice,” but recovery eventually asks for one
The danger of rigid labels in sobriety (and why they can keep people stuck)
Emotional sobriety: temper, regulation, and the work you can’t outsource
Shame and guilt as something stored in the body—not just the mind
The truth about “success” not fixing what’s broken inside
How sitting still (literally) can become the turning point

Why Jeff is the guide for this conversation
Jeff built All Can, No Can’t after dying on a CrossFit gym floor and being handed a diagnosis that changed everything. He doesn’t interview guests to deliver inspiration. He does it to pull out the truth: what it actually takes to keep going when your identity, health, or life plan gets rearranged without your permission.

Listen + take the next step
If this episode puts words to something you’ve been carrying, share it with someone who needs a real conversation—not a quote.
Subscribe to All Can, No Can’t for weekly resilience-first episodes.
Leave a review if the show helps you keep moving when life gets heavy.
And if you’re in a season where you’re rebuilding, remember: find one small “can” inside the “can’t” and grind it down.
Let’s master resilience together.

What if the reason you’re stuck isn’t because you can’t do the thing… but because you’re trying to live the next ten years before taking the next 30 seconds?

In this powerful 100th episode of All Can No Can’t, Jeff Luther strips away the hype, the confetti, and the “victory lap” expectations to deliver one of the most important lessons of the entire show: momentum doesn’t come from motivation — it comes from doing

This episode is for the person who knows they’re capable of more — but keeps getting trapped in their own head.

This conversation is especially for you if:
You feel stuck, overwhelmed, or overthinking your next move
You’re successful on paper but unfulfilled or restless
You keep waiting for clarity, confidence, or certainty before starting
You’re afraid that starting something will change your life too much
You’ve delayed a goal because you’re worried you “won’t be able to keep it up”
Jeff speaks directly to entrepreneurs, high performers, and people navigating major life transitions — especially those rebuilding after setbacks, health challenges, or identity shifts

What This Episode Is Really About

Rather than celebrating 100 episodes with fireworks, Jeff shares the deeper truth behind consistency, discipline, and resilience:

Success is not in the goal. Success is in the action.

Drawing from his own experience returning to workouts after a sudden cardiac event, Jeff explains why the first step is often the easiest — and why it’s everything that comes after that keeps people from starting at all

The fear isn’t the action.
The fear is the future we imagine.

A powerful solo episode about facing fear, reclaiming control, and choosing courage even when your body—and your beliefs—get shaken.

In this raw and vulnerable solo episode of All Can No Can’t, host Jeff Luther shares the terrifying experience of being unexpectedly shocked by his internal defibrillator—moments after finishing a routine workout. What happened next wasn’t just a physical jolt. It shook the belief system he’s carried for years, the belief that he could outrun heart disease through discipline, strength, and mindset.

From the bathroom floor to the mirror where he had to tell himself, “You’re okay,” Jeff walks listeners through the emotional, physical, and mental impact of facing the one fear he thought he could keep at bay.

This isn’t theory. This is lived experience.
This is a real-time example of choosing courage even when fear shows up uninvited.

If you’re an entrepreneur, creator, parent, or someone navigating your own invisible battle, this episode will remind you:
You are allowed to be afraid. You are not allowed to stop living.

🎧 LISTEN IF YOU ARE…
An entrepreneur wrestling with imposter syndrome or pressure
Someone facing a health diagnosis while refusing to stop living your life
A high achiever who looks fearless on the outside but feels fear on the inside
Someone who avoids their “hard thing,” hoping it won’t catch up
A person in a transition, facing uncertainty, or rebuilding their identity

The difference between fear guiding you and fear driving your decisions
What it really means to choose “all can” in the moments that matter most

💡 Episode Takeaways
Fear is normal. It is human. It is often wise.
Courage isn’t the absence of fear—it's choosing action anyway.
How you respond becomes your identity—and your legacy.
Your next choice must match your words.
When life hands you a mirror moment, you get to decide who you are.

In this raw and honest episode of All Can No Can’t, Jeff sits down with Angie Hawkins – coach and author of Running in Slippers – to talk about what it really takes to heal old wounds, stop playing the victim, and build a life that actually feels like yours.

Angie grew up with emotionally unavailable parents, a highly critical mom, and learned early on that perfectionism and overachieving were the only ways to avoid criticism. As an adult, that turned into corporate burnout, people-pleasing, emotional numbing, and chasing happiness through external things — a move to Hawaii, relationships, achievements, and “checking the boxes.”

When a breakup, grief, isolation, job fear, and a flooded condo all collided — and then COVID hit — Angie spiraled into hopelessness and attempted to end her life. She overdosed on anxiety meds, blacked out, and woke up in the hospital angry that she’d survived… until a friend told her, “It’s not your time.” That sentence changed everything.

If you’ve ever felt stuck, burned out, unhappy, or like happiness just isn’t “for you,” this episode is a lifeline.

💡 In This Episode, You’ll Learn:

  • How emotionally unavailable parents and criticism create perfectionism and overachieving
  • Why so many adults feel numb, unfulfilled, and like happiness isn’t available
  • What emotional regulation actually means and how to feel anger, sadness, and anxiety without being swallowed by them
  • Why numbing your “negative” emotions also turns off your joy and excitement
  • How women (and men) are conditioned to ignore their own needs, and how to start asking: “What do I want?”
  • Angie’s GLOW Method framework:
    • G – Go back to your childhood
    • L – Light yourself up
    • O – Overcome external validation
    • W – Welcome yourself back home
  • Practical ways to reconnect with what lit you up as a kid
  • How to start doing one thing every day that brings you joy, even if nothing else in your life changes yet
  • 00:00 – Angie’s childhood: criticism, emotional neglect & perfectionism
  • 05:00 – “My parents did what they could” & understanding emotional unavailability
  • 08:00 – How perfectionism became a survival strategy
  • 10:00 – Feeling unfulfilled but believing happiness isn’t available

What if the thing stealing your focus, your peace, and your connection… was in your hand right now?

In this episode of All Can No Can’t, host Jeff Luther sits down with Kelsey Green — community strategist, accountability coach, and founder of Summit in Six Mastermind — to explore how our digital habits are quietly shaping our happiness, attention, and ability to connect.

Kelsey helps ambitious leaders turn big ideas into action through structure, accountability, and community. But today, she opens up about something deeper — how burnout, disconnection, and “fake dopamine” led her to rebuild her life with new rules for focus, digital boundaries, and real human connection.

Together, Jeff and Kelsey unpack the modern addiction we don’t like to call an addiction — our phones — and what it takes to regain control, presence, and purpose in a hyperconnected world.

How Cam F. Awesome Rewired His Mindset After Setbacks to Become a 12x National Champion — In this high-impact episode of All Can. No Can’t., I sit down with one of the most resilient humans I’ve ever met. Cam F. Awesome is a 12-time national boxing champion, 3-time Olympic Trials champ, and a master of mindset.

But Cam’s real power isn’t his punch—it’s the internal dialogue that took him from bullied kid to national champion. We talk about the moment he got kicked off the Olympic team and how he didn’t just bounce back—he changed his name, rebuilt his life, and created an entirely new playbook for resilience and reinvention.

You’ll hear how Cam uses storytelling to reframe failure, why he never sits between rounds (and what that says about your approach to life), and how to train your reticular activating system (RAS) to start finding wins instead of fear.

We cover:

  • Turning internal doubt into power
  • How identity is built through action and repetition
  • The power of visualization, discipline, and mental reps
  • Why most people are one belief away from a breakthrough

This one hits hard—in the best way. Cam doesn’t just tell stories. He changes them.

How Cam F. Awesome Rewired His Mindset After Setbacks to Become a 12x National Champion is a reminder: your story isn’t over. You get to write the next chapter.

What if the thing holding you back isn’t what happened to you—but how you’re responding to it?

In this solo episode of All Can No Can't, Jeff Luther gets raw and real about one of the hardest-earned lessons from his near-death experience: people don’t care what happened to you, they care how you respond. Not in a heartless way—but in a deeply human one. Because the truth is, your story doesn’t define you—your comeback does.

Jeff breaks down what happens when life hits hard—divorce, betrayal, layoffs, illness—and why the most powerful thing you can do isn’t wallow in it, but rise from it. From surviving sudden cardiac death to rebuilding a coaching business and proving what’s possible, Jeff shares how choosing “can” over “can’t” became his blueprint for transformation.

This episode challenges you to rethink victimhood, take ownership of your comeback, and understand that your response is your legacy. If you're navigating chaos, loss, or disappointment, this message will light a fire in you to keep going—not for sympathy, but for strength.

People don’t remember your excuses. They remember your grit.

Tune in, take notes, and flip your story into a strategy.

Why Mentorship is the Secret to Emotional Fulfillment, Growth & Longevity (feat. Deborah Heiser, PhD)

This segment from the Service Business Blueprint podcast highlights the importance of building genuine connections through traditional sales funnels versus relying solely on paid search ads. Jeff Luther begins by promising to share a key marketing tip that guarantees business growth. He emphasizes effort as the foundation of success, contrasting sales funnels with paid ads like Google AdWords or Facebook ads.

While paid ads allow competitors to easily replicate strategies by simply outspending, traditional sales funnels focus on nurturing potential clients through relationship-building. Jeff explains that by guiding customers from awareness to action, and fostering personal connections (such as bonding over shared experiences), businesses can cultivate long-term relationships. This approach leads to repeat business and stronger customer loyalty, especially for service-based businesses.

Jeff also highlights how traditional sales funnels offer more control and predictability over marketing costs and results compared to the fluctuations and unpredictability of paid ad campaigns.

Continuing the segment, Jeff underscores that traditional sales funnels, when well-constructed, provide a personalized journey for each potential client, which builds trust over time. He stresses that service-based businesses thrive on relationships, and these can't be built overnight with paid ads. A well-thought-out funnel allows businesses to educate their audience, showcase their expertise, and address specific client needs at each stage of the buyer's journey.

Jeff points out that sales funnels aren't just about generating leads but nurturing them into loyal customers. He shares examples of how offering value upfront—through free content, webinars, or consultations—builds credibility, making it easier to convert leads into paying clients. Unlike the cold, transactional nature of paid ads, a funnel creates multiple touchpoints with potential clients, keeping them engaged and warming them up for a sale.

Moreover, Jeff discusses the sustainability of funnels. While paid ads require a constant investment to maintain visibility, a well-optimized funnel can continue to work in the background, attracting and converting clients passively. This makes funnels a cost-effective solution, especially for small service businesses that may not have huge advertising budgets.

Jeff wraps up the segment by encouraging listeners to shift their focus from short-term gains driven by paid ads to the long-term stability that comes from a properly designed sales funnel. By prioritizing relationships over transactions, service businesses can see consistent growth and build a loyal client base that will keep returning, ultimately outperforming the results of paid advertising over time.

In this episode of The Service Business Blueprint, host Jeff Luther dives deep into one of the most critical decisions that business leaders face when planning for growth: expanding by acquisition versus organic growth. Jeff shares his insights and experiences from growing his own service-based business, discussing the benefits and challenges of each approach.

Though Jeff has never purchased a business, he provides a thoughtful analysis of why acquisition might be a smart move, drawing on real-world examples like Facebook's purchase of Instagram and Disney's acquisitions of Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. He highlights how acquisitions can lead to rapid market expansion, immediate access to established customer bases, and the acquisition of talent and expertise that can be difficult to build from scratch.

Have you ever felt stuck clinging to outdated business goals? In today's dynamic business environment, where change is constant, this episode of the Service Business Blueprint Podcast explores why changing your goals can actually be crucial for success.

We'll start by discussing the importance of business goals in general. Well-defined goals provide direction and focus for your company, acting as a roadmap for decision-making and resource allocation. They also serve as a valuable measurement tool, helping you track progress towards your ultimate vision.

But what happens when the landscape around you starts to shift? Markets evolve, resources change hands, new technologies emerge, and customer preferences can take unexpected turns. This episode will explore the reality that the business environment is not static. Rigidly holding onto initial goals in the face of such change can become counterproductive.

Instead, we'll delve into the power of adaptation. By embracing the idea that your goals can evolve alongside your business, you open yourself up to a range of benefits. Adapting your goals can drive innovation within your company, forcing you to explore new ideas and potentially leading to the development of groundbreaking new strategies. More importantly, it positions your business to meet the new demands that arise from a changing market.

To illustrate this point, we'll take a look at some inspiring case studies. Companies like Netflix, Slack, and Twitter all started out with one set of goals in mind, but when they recognized the need to adapt, they didn't hesitate to pivot. Their willingness to change course ultimately fueled their success.

So how do you actually go about changing your business goals? This episode will equip you with practical steps to navigate this process effectively. We'll cover how to assess your current situation, communicate transparently with stakeholders, and develop a clear plan for moving forward. Setting measurable milestones will help you track your progress, and fostering a culture of flexibility within your organization is key. Remember, change is a journey, and being able to monitor and adjust your goals as needed is essential for reaching your destination.

Finally, we want to debunk the myth that changing your goals signifies failure. In today's world, it's a sign of adaptability and growth – a hallmark of resilient businesses. This episode will provide valuable takeaways to help you determine if it's time to re-evaluate your current goals and propel your business forward on the path to success.

Discover the key factors that contribute to an inspector's long-term value, emphasizing the significance of staying informed, continuous learning, and fostering individual growth within the industry.

Do your inspectors actually want to grow? That's one thing that I always look out for. Inspectors that don't engage with your team are not going to stay the most valuable and the most seasoned for long. It's up to us as business owners to put systems in place to continue to challenge people, to continue to keep them being excited about their job.

Welcome back to the Inspector Alliance podcast. On this episode, we dive into the importance of marketing in your business. Marketing is a way to promote and connect your business with customers.

"Pay to play" is a term that refers to a situation in which an individual or entity must pay money in order to participate or compete in a particular activity or event.

In some cases, paying to play may refer to a situation in which an individual or entity must provide payment in order to access a particular platform or service, such as a video game or social media platform. In other cases, it may refer to a situation in which an individual or entity must pay a fee in order to participate in a specific business opportunity or political campaign.

In general, the term "pay to play" is often used to describe situations in which money plays a significant role in determining access to certain privileges or opportunities, potentially leading to an unfair advantage for those who are able to pay.

Hiring the right employees is crucial for any business, but have you ever thought about hiring someone with goals that align with your business? It can make all the difference in the success of your company.

When employees have personal goals that align with the goals of the business, they are more likely to be motivated and engaged in their work. They will see their job as more than just a paycheck and will be committed to helping the business achieve its objectives.

Furthermore, employees with aligned goals are more likely to stay with the company long-term. When they see opportunities for growth and development within the business, they are more likely to be invested in their role and committed to advancing their career within the company.

At our company, we recognize the importance of hiring individuals with ambitious goals that align with our business objectives. We believe that this approach not only benefits the employee but also contributes to the overall success of our business.

Welcome to this episode of our podcast where we’ll be discussing the differences between full-time employees and contractors. Whether you're a business owner looking to hire or an individual exploring job opportunities, it's important to understand the key distinctions between these two types of workers.

First, let's define what we mean by full-time employees and contractors. Full-time employees are individuals who are hired by a company to work a set number of hours per week, usually between 35 and 40 hours. They receive a regular paycheck and benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans. On the other hand, contractors are self-employed individuals who work for a company or client on a project basis. They are typically paid on an hourly or per-project basis and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.

One of the main differences between full-time employees and contractors is their level of job security. Full-time employees are typically offered job security, meaning that they are not at risk of being let go unless there are serious performance issues or financial problems within the company. Contractors, on the other hand, do not have job security and can be let go at any time once their project is complete.

Another key difference is the level of control that each type of worker has over their work. Full-time employees are generally more tightly controlled by the company they work for, with a set schedule, specific duties and responsibilities, and rules and regulations they must follow. Contractors, on the other hand, have more freedom to determine their own schedules and how they will complete their work.

Additionally, full-time employees typically receive more benefits than contractors. This includes health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and other benefits that are typically not available to contractors. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and benefits, which can be a significant burden.

While full-time employees and contractors both offer benefits and drawbacks, understanding the key differences between the two is crucial for both employers and individuals looking for job opportunities. Full-time employees offer job security and more benefits, while contractors offer more freedom and flexibility. Ultimately, it's important to consider your own needs and preferences when deciding which type of work arrangement is best for you.

We're back again with the Inspector Alliance. Thanks for tuning in this week.

I want to talk about the goal of the home inspection. Our value as home inspectors is to deliver value to our clients for every inspection, every time. We want to give information our customers information that is correct about the house we are inspecting. We help clients make an informed decision about the house before they pull the trigger and buy.

Really, all a client really wants is a tableside chat that ends with either a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Clients typically are looking for useful information that they can use to make their huge life decision.

The two most important things for a home inspection is:

  1. Help clients make an informed decision.
  2. Provide clients with useful information related to the home.

In this episode I talk all about getting referrals for your business and the numbers to look for, how to handle an economic downturn in your business, and ways to keep potential employees in the running for being hired.

Getting in front of the right audience can help you get referrals in your business. In my experience, I could present to a room of 60 real estate agents to do a talk, and know when I leave that I may get 4 leads, and 2 actual referrals from that talk. The funnel for getting leads brings it’s own unique challenges, in the episode I share what I learned, so you don’t have to.

When it comes to staffing your business, there are loads of tips that i’ve learned over the years to keep my business thriving. Something extremely important is that you are always recruiting for new talent and have a constant funnel open for potential new hires. This will allow you to keep your business prepared for when the time comes and the business picks up. I would rather be over prepared then underprepared when it comes to serving customers.

I leave you with some of my top tips for hiring to ensure your business thrives and grows as your team does.

Thanks for listening.

Throughout the years i’ve found so many benefits in investing in myself and in my company. The key of this episode is investing in yourself. When you reinvest in yourself, you build you and your business up for larger success.

Reinvesting may look different to different people and businesses. For Home-Probe, reinvesting looked like hiring new talent that could take us to the next level in our business. As times change, so does technology, so it’s important to stay up to date on tools that will help your business thrive. Training and education is always helpful for businesses to stay ahead of their competition during these times. While the market is in a lower spot today, it’s important we focus our time on the places that will help us grow in the future. Reinvesting in your business during these times will help catapult you into the future business growth.

I know that beliefs turn to things. So I challenge you, pick the good beliefs.

Commit to yourself, commit to your business, grow and succeed.
