On this episode I had the opportunity to chat with Jon Depue on his book with Dr. Douglas Campbell, Beyond Justification.
Beyond Justification posits that the conventional reading of Paul is a misreading of about 10% of the Pauline corpus, and therefore, a misrepresentation of the Gospel according to Paul. This misreading and misrepresentation is what he calls Justification Theory. And the corrective that he provides for a correct reading of Paul, and a correct presentation of the Gospel is vitally important for us.
This is the stuff of what it means to think through the life of God for the life of the World.

Dr. Daniel D. Lee is the academic dean for the Center for Asian American Theology and Ministry and assistant professor of theology and Asian American Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. He earned a PhD in theology at Fuller Theological Seminary and is the author of Double Particularity: Karl Barth, Contextuality, and Asian American Theology.
