When you first glance at a vegetable garden it might not look like much is going on- but I assure you, there is a whole world of law and order to be found in the soil.
There are laws about when to plant seeds, what temperatures each plant prefers and which growth companions each plant would like to have planted nearby.
These laws takes years to learn and many are specific to location, the type of garden (ex: in ground, raised beds, container) and the goals established for each season.
A successful garden requires a gardener who knows these secret laws.
But what if I told you that many (if not all) of the laws of the garden can be applied to your everyday life?
What if Mother Nature is communicating with us, revealing the blueprint for life right there in the garden?
On today’s episode, I am introducing a new weekly series (Laws of the Garden) where I help translate the messages of wisdom that Mother Nature is trying to communicate with us, and how it can add meaning and purpose to your life.

In the garden, companion planting is all about encouraging growth, repelling (or attracting) pests, and contributing to the most bountiful harvest possible. Outside the garden, you have soil mates who come into your life with a mission to make you wiser and stronger. Make no mistake, soil mates aren’t always simple or straight-forward relationships. Soil mates are the ones who come into your life, shake things up and will stay long enough to make an impact.

Have you ever wondered what your true nature is? What is true for you in this season of your life? What are you supposed to be learning from this phase in your journey? How can you be authentic to yourself and how can you outgrow whatever challenges you are facing?
In the garden, it's always clear what phase of growth a plant is in. If you pay close attention, the same phases of growth apply to humans. In order to find your true nature, you must look to the natural world for guidance. In this episode, we will discuss how to approach seasons of your life like the seasons in the garden.

Can you learn how to avoid self-sabotage?? Does the garden have the secrets to making sure that you don't undermine your goals and desires? In this lesson, the truth about self-sabotage is revealed through the growth (and lack thereof) in the squash garden. Nature has a way of revealing the truth if you are looking for answers, and there is no better place to realize the 3-part pattern of self sabotage than in the squash garden!
