Ps Steve shared a ‘heart to heart’ message from 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 on how we live in challenging times of transition. “I will not sacrifice my love walk in the pressure.”
Pressure can be felt from many angles these days, but our struggle is spiritual and not against people. Our enemy seeks to confuse, distract, disorientate and deter us, but through adversity God builds us up into maturity.
Pastors Steve and Esther spoke about the season of opportunity ahead to do something new as we move into home church. Often when we are faced with great opportunity, there can be some challenges; through these challenges, the church is encouraged to stand fast in faith, courage and love.
Ps. Steve and Ps. Esther encouraged us to be followers of Jesus living by faith and not just do the good things of Christianity as a routine. We are called to obey Jesus - to move when He tells us to move and stay where He tells us to stay. We are invited to join the journey of becoming Home Churches.
Ps Steve and Esther shared some of what the Lord is saying about the new season: 1. Matt 28:18-20 - a church fit for purpose: making disciples 2. Luke 14:25-7 - radical obedience to King Jesus even when it costs much 3. 2 Cor 5:14-20 - we are ambassadors/scattered servants.
Simon and Abi shared their journey of radical obedience, exploring serving in Zambia. Susie and Josh shared their story of praying and sharing Jesus openly in the neighbourhood.
The resurrection of Jesus is the central event of Christianity, which is relational: Christ’s atoning, redeeming sacrifice bought our salvation, restoring and renewing relationship with God for us.
Bethany Milne spoke about how Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Three questions that people might ask today are: where am I going, what is true and what is life? We might not know our exact destination but if we follow Jesus and keep our eyes on Him, we will know truth and have life in Him.
Jesus is resurrection life; we are reminded of the importance of fellowship with God, walking in the light and making Godly decisions.
God has created us all to nurture our children and the people. He wants to help us see the destiny he has placed in us all.
Josh spoke on Jesus’ saying “I am the true vine.” We can only carry fire and passion for Jesus if our roots go deep in Him.
This week, Ps Steve breaks down the question that Jesus had asked "Who do you say I am?"
Jesus calls us to die to our desires. How do we train ourselves to live fully devoted to the Gospel?
The mission of Jesus fulfilling miracles, works and wonders! And His calling all disciples - including each one of us...
The world is rapidly changing, how does it look to stay devoted and focused on Jesus during these times.
Jesus laid aside the privilege of deity but never ceased to be God so He could redeem us...This is the Works of Jesus.
