It is easy to forgive others when you can just forgive and move on. However, it becomes extremely difficult to forgive offense when you are yoked to people who have offended you. God won’t withhold a good thing from His children. This is the root cause of many unanswered prayers. We should pray to God with confidence. However, we must be mindful that God’s will comes first before answered prayers. If it’s not good for you and/or it’s not a part of God’s will for your life, you can expect an unanswered prayer! “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15 NIV
Just because you’ve seemingly gotten away with doing wrong for so long, does NOT mean you won’t see judgement forever. Repent and turn from your wicked ways or prepare for the wrath.
We must be mindful of accepting money and things from people. Most times, these things are given under conditions, circumstances, and understood pretenses. When people in the world give gifts, they tend to expect some level of control. When they find that they can’t control you, they then love to take these gifts back. The Bible calls these gifts deceptive delicacies. Tune in! “When you sit down to eat with a ruler, Consider carefully what is before you; And put a knife to your throat If you are a man given to appetite. Do not desire his delicacies, For they are deceptive food.” Proverbs 23:1-3 NKJV
We must be careful to not mishandle the gifts that God has given us. Our gifts are not our own💯 “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” I Peter 4:10-11 NKJV
God created you with gifts to serve them. While your gift will make room for you, it does this in the right rooms and environments. Don’t get frustrated when your gift is rejected. That rejection is just an indicator that you’re serving your gift in the wrong place! “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” I Peter 4:10 NKJV
There is no good thing apart from God. “I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” Psalms 16:2 NIV
When you walk with God and submit yourself to Him, you will experience transformation and you will grow!! “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. When the Disciples were faced with a task to complete, they initially declined the job. The Disciples basically told Jesus that they couldn’t complete the task because they were not equipped to do so. Jesus flipped it right back on them, and told them to do it! Whatever task God has given you to complete, you may feel that you don’t have what it takes to do it. You may feel like giving it back to God because you feel inadequate. I came to tell you today the same thing that Jesus told the Disciples….YOU DO IT‼️ “Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, “Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.” He replied, “You give them something to eat.” Luke 9:12-13 NIV

On this Father’s Day, let us not forget God, our biological father. Long before we were formed in our mother’s womb, God knew us. God commands us to honor our mothers and fathers, but He also commands us to have no other God before Him. Remember that God told us that He’s a jealous God. In this season of your life, don’t be so quick to quit the jobs that God has given you. If you quit your job, who will be the light in that dark place?! Don’t quit, stay. Don’t walk off your job. In 2 Kings Chapter 1, King Ahaziah came for the infamous Prophet Elijah. Ahaziah came for Elijah not because he had sinned against man, but because Elijah was obedient to God, and delivered an unpleasant message to Ahaziah upon God's request.
The Prophet Elijah was obedient to God, and because King Ahaziah didn't like the message he delivered, Ahaziah sent 153 men after Elijah. By the end of the story, 102 men died trying to come for Elijah. Likewise, Ahaziah, the man who sent them, ended up dead, and at the end of the story, the man of God Elijah was still standing!
