Humphrey Hawksley is a journalist and author whose latest book is Asian Waters, The Struggle Over the Indo Pacific and the Challenge to American Power. He is the monthly host of The Democracy Forum debates on the Asian region. His reporting with the BBC has taken him to crises all over the world including postings in Delhi, Colombo, Manila, Hong Kong and Beijing. His journalism has appeared in most mainstream media in the UK and US. His lecture venues include the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, the RAND Corporation in Los Angeles and Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.
