I have researched the brave Pioneers who decided to travel and settle the western frontier. Through the lessons recorded in history we might be able to avoid making the same life threatening mistakes, such as excessive loads, being too eager to move, not waiting out the seasons and above all we may possibly avoid some of the diseases, much has been discovered and we posses a better understanding of them and their causes. Though not everyone has plans for running for the hills in the event of a disaster or emergency, the topic and discussion is important none the less, adding to our knowledge base and ability to react to the what if's.   New Chat located @: http://www.shtfmradio.com

With a social collapse, a monetary collapse will more than likely be the factor that is the cause, barter will become the norm. As we can only imagine, many are not preparing for unforeseen realities that currently face us, they will only have one hope, that is the skills they possess and the ability to offer the skills as a form of trade for needed items. Bugging in, Bugging out Tonight we are going to discuss some of the reasons for bugging in and bugging out. Description and discussion, Bugging in involves planning and preparing to stay in place, where ever that might be. Bugging out would be more detailed, because of the logistics and packing and planning the basic necessary items needed for comfort. This would make bugging in a more desired option, due to ease, and the amount of comforts already in place. My thoughts on bugging in, you are already living there, so I would assume you’re already bugged in. But some of the comforts enjoyed might range from familiarity to the ability to store more food stocks and offers the convenience of more modern equipment and amenities. More progressive alternate power sources and the ability to maintain the use of modern appliances will make a longer stay increasingly livable. Some reasons for bugging out flood zone earth quakes, mud slides, fires, tornadoes, planes, trains, nuke plants etc, and of course when bugging out, you have to consider terrain, nature obstacles, and whatever man made ones occur, mechanical problems should also be a part of our back up plan, we found one of our group close to us and will go there. we figure it will take at least a day to walk it safely through the terrain we'll need to follow., fording during floods So bottom line as you prepare to bug in, I personally think you should also prepare to bug out.
