The first working day of January is termed 'Divorce Day' by the legal profession with more divorce petitions being filed in the UK on that day, than any other day of the year.  Why is this?

Is it due to the stress and pressure of the Christmas and New Year period or is it something else?  I explore some of the reasons behind it in this Solo Session and also ask, When is YOUR Divorce Day?

It's Day 23 and Deb's asking you to reflect on the what and the why of your relationship status.

Christmas is often a source of stress and anxiety for many people. Couples often bicker over where they're going to spend Christmas, whether the in-laws should come for lunch, what to buy the children, what is the limit on present buying for the wider family, what time to eat, what to eat, when to put the tree and decorations up, how much money to spend.

You name it, it can feel as if everything about Christmas is sent to test the most resilient of couples.

And if you're single it feels as if there's an intangible pressure to find 'the one' in time for the big day and that somehow, if you haven't met 'the one' then there's something wrong with you.

It feels as if you're surrounded by happy, loved-up couples in all directions and you end up feeling worse about yourself.

I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to be that way.

This Countdown to Christmas is my alternative advent calendar.

I'll be sharing with you hint, tips, anecdotes and suggestions to make you think, ponder, reflect and implement in the run up to Christmas to help you to create a stronger, healthier and more robust relationship with your partner, your family and yourself.

It's Day 13 and Deb is asking you to think about Magic Moments

Trigger warning: This episode contains content that some listeners may find distressing.

When Jo Haley was invited out for a drink she was curious. There was an element of intrigue and flattery. Little did she know that some years later she would be fleeing for her life, partly-clothed, afraid of being run over by her own car and then literally dumped in the middle of nowhere.

Deb talks to Jo Haley about her very REAL experience of domestic abuse. In this very real, raw and vulnerable interview Jo speaks openly and candidly about how she became entrapped in a relationship that almost killed her and talks about that often asked question "Why don't you just leave?"

Jo shares how her passion for beauty gave her the hope and route she needed to start a new life and how that led to her becoming the Positive Image Coach.

You can learn more about Jo at www.thepositiveimagecoach.co.uk
