Everyone has a story to tell--and my guests prove that. Openly and honestly they share their experiences of storytelling (authors), interesting hobbies, overcoming everyday challenges, inspiring jobs, coping with health problems, and simply living life with all of its ups and downs. Every episode will range in length from 15 to 30 minutes. It is a family-friendly podcast.
Sara’s son was sick and she wasn’t sure what was wrong. After many doctors and doing lots of research on her own she discovered her son had PANDAS. The family came together and successfully found a way to manage the illness. In order to help other children Sara wrote a middle grade book entitled Pendulum under the pen name of S. E. German. Additionally, her podcast Learning to Slay the Beast discusses the disorder as she interviews many experts on the topic.
Caryn developed a loss of chemical tolerance after exposure to some chemicals. She reveals how it has affected her life and the adjustments she had to make. Heidi Dunstan widowed at a young age noticed well-meaning friends frozen in awkwardness uttering words that hurt more than comforted. Hence, she explains why saying, “How are you?” isn’t the best choice of something to say.
