After some time, away and Luke not editing the last episode on time, The Side Quest is back. Bj, Matt, and Luke talk about Christmas, New Year, and sickness, and we get emotional with Matt. It's good to be back.

We're finally done with this year's gaming events. To end it all, Geoff Keyley came in swinging with this year's Game Awards. This one didn't feel as long compared to last year's show. The announcements were plentiful, and the awards were snappy and fast.

Matt's gone. He left us to spend time with his family for Thanksgiving. So it's back to the basics with Bj and Luke. A little throwback for yall. This episode focuses on Sega's two flagship titles. Sonic Frontiers has come out and blown most people away' at least if you're a sonic fan. Frontiers marks the newest direction for the next era of sonic and we are hype. Bj has been all in on Yakuza with his start in Yakuza Kiwami 2. A step up for the series in more ways than one. New engine, new threats, and secret Koreans.
For the first time, we have a guest who knows the ins and outs of game development. Welcome Jack Burrows to the show. Long time friend of Matt, Jack joins us to talk about everything we can about games. Dead Space and the quality of the remake. Ratchet & Clank and how they've fallen. Jack also gives a very passionate speech about what games mean for him, and what he wants to do with that passion. This is a big one. Arguably our best Podcast to date.
Man, Dune kinda sucks doesn't it? What a waste of film. Nothing but bright white and sand. No substance whatsoever. It's almost as bad as Xenoblade 3. Honestly its wild to think that there are Neanderthals out there who can stomach the atrocious writing and characters. Also can we all be honest with ourselves? Nipple piercings are kinda wack.

Henry Cavill has stepped down as Geralt of Rivia, which honestly sucks for the show. They are replacing him with Liam Hemsworth and no one is excited about it. But in some positive news, Denji gets to touch boobs.

Blach returns after a decade with its final arc, Thousand Year Blood War, Chainsaw Man hits the scene after insane hype from manga readers, and Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch From Mercury is the first series from the Gundam franchise since Iron Blooded Orphans.
After months of waiting and checking emails, The Steam Deck has finally arrived. We've all had a bit of time to play it so listen as we give some first impressions on how it feels and plays.

Another new week and more news. Matt Bj and Myself have watched through 5 episodes of Cyberpunk Edgerunners and so far its shaping up to be a killer anime adaption of the cyberpunk world. The biggest piece of news happens to be that GTA 6 has been leaked. And not just a simple leak, oh no. Entire gamely sections, cutscenes, Combat. One of the biggest leaks probably ever. And yet it still looks better than an Ubisoft game.
the wait has been long, but we finally have a new Nintendo Direct. with 40 minutes, this direct was packed full of games. We got some surprise announcements like GoldenEye, Pikmin 4 and the long awaited title to the new Zelda game; The Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom. There was also a lot of farming sims. But none of that matters cause CRISIS CORE COMES OUT DECEMBER 13 BABY!!!!!! LETS GO GAME OF THE YEAR!!!!!

Summer gaming news went full tilt this past week with Xbox showing off their next 12 months of games coming to their platforms, including Redfall, Diablo IV, and Starfield. Capcom also showed off some Resident Evil 8 dlc and announced a Dragon's Dogma 10th anniversary stream./ hear what we have to say about all these and more.

In a surprise announcement, Square Enix decided to show of some upcoming projects for Kingdom Hearts on its 20th birthday. We got a couple mobile game announcements, but the big reveal was that Kingdom Hearts 4 is in development and is the next mainline game in the series. No side games, no Verum Rex, a true sequel. As the resident KH fans, BJ and myself break down how we felt and what we would like to see from this game.

Nintendo finally shows us whats in store for the first half of 2022. and boy is it exciting. As an rpg fan, there Chrono Cross, Earthbound, Live A Live, and Xenoblade to look forward to, and Mario Strikers and Wii Sports are coming back. And now Mario Kart 8 is getting 48 new tracks. Nintendo is shaping up to have a banger of a 2022. and we still dont know too much about Breath Of The Wild or Bayonetta.
So Sony has entered the buying wars and its a bit of a weird one. Also both BJ and Luke have gotten their hands on Pokemon Legends Arceus and they have some things to talk about. Add in a bunch of anime talk and its another Side Quest episode.
Microsoft once again swings its comically large pockets and buys yet another publisher. However, unlike Bethesda, Activision is on a whole new plain of reality. The likes of Call Of Duty, Crash Bandicoot, and Prototype now join the ranks with Halo, Doom, and Banjo Kazooie, falling under Xbox. The future of Xbox looks pretty good now, but what of the rest of the industry? Will Playstation be forced to buy a publisher as-well? What of the likes of Tencent and EA? There are plenty of questions and concerns that come with this purchase, but We'll just have to wait and see.
We're in boys. We are caught up with the Kingdom Hearts recording with Landon. In this episode we have gone through the side games leading up to Kingdom hearts 3. Even with BJ and I's expert knowledge, Landon at this point has no idea what were talking about. and were still not done. Strap in.

It seems that some of the biggest developers are cashing in on the NFT train. Ubisoft has already implemented NFTs into Ghost Recon, and now Square Enix is interested and claims NFTs are the future of gaming. We however don’t agree.

The Game Awards have come and gone and it was an interesting one. It seems every year there are more ads and commercials than actual awards and reveals. Its understandable that Geoff and his team need to make money for this event, but its getting a bit hard for you to enjoy an award show filled with mobile game adds and movie trailers, instead of actual awards. Plus it was 4 hours long. But it wasn't all bad. New game reveals like Wonder Woman, and Star Wars Eclipse, and new looks at Hellblade. Plus the actual winners of the awards were well deserved.
BJ has finally finished all there is to finish when it comes to the Tokyo Ghoul Manga. Listen as both of us geek over the plot and characters. Also I have some more thoughts on Pokemon and some general gaming talk occurs.

We finally have a switch pro!!! Kinda.... Valve's latest venture into to the hardware scene is a portable "switch" like computer. It plays all your steam games, its got emulation capabilities, and Todd Howard can sell you Skyrim again on it. But will it be able to go against the juggernaught that is the Switch? Who knows, I'm just glad I can be yelled at for being trash at League anywhere I want now.
So what exactly is happening to Lost Judgment? Are single player games dead? Can I make up another click bait question? Who knows. Im just upset at not getting a third Judgment.
