The Jesus Process begins with an invitation to follow Jesus. When we do, we begin to trust Jesus. Trust grows affection in our hearts and we begin to love Jesus. Loving Jesus causes us to imitate Jesus and when we do, we are transformed into followers of Jesus whose lives are marked by disciples who make disciples. We Bear Fruit.

How did Jesus do it? How did he take a dozen rag-tag guys, an entourage of about 120, in a part of the world that was under the occupation of a Roman Government, and transform them into a movement that only about 350 years later become the operating system of Rome? His movement began with his process of discipling his friends, we call this the Jesus Process. Over the next several weeks, we are going to examine the Jesus Process.

The world to which Jesus was sent is described by God in Isaiah
9:2 as a world stuck in deep darkness. God in his infinite love and wisdom sent into this world an amazing gift of his wisdom and counsel. Jesus is the Wonderful Counselor and this week on Say Yes and Become, Justin Orr and I have a fun and meaningful conversation about what that means.

This month on Say Yes & Become, we have heard such amazing stories of Yes, expressed through adoption and Fostering. On our final story for Adoption/Fostering month, we have two people I love and respect so much. Brian and Rachel Lopez have adopted two kids to go along with their three biological kids and made an amazing family by saying YES. Listen to their story, then like and share it with a friend.

This week on Say Yes & Become we hear from my dear friends Dean and Debbie Crist. I first met Dean and Debbie in 1990 when he was a youth pastor and I was serving with Youth for Christ. We met and prayed every week for several years and during that time, I prayed with them as they adopted two sons, while raising three other kids. All five kids are amazing human beings. Their story reveals how God’s love comes to them and then through them. I loved hearing their story almost 30 years later, told through the lens of gratitude and faith. Listen, like and share.

Foster 180 is such a amazing tool in the hands of God to support families. In this conversation you cannot help hearing the heart of Jesus who said, let the kids come to me.
