In today's episode, James chats with local multimedia entrepreneur and co-founder of KC Start-up, 'Let it Fly Media', Andrew Carter.
Andrew shares the story of how his multimedia production company began (listen at the end to hear the unique story about the name!), some of the early challenges they faced when building the company and their successes being based in Kansas City.
We also talk more specifically about the power of content, what people are looking for more specifically these days and how their company markets themselves as one-of-a-kind for creating this type of unique content.

In today's episode, James chats with local Physical Therapist - Dr Jason Gearhart of 'V6 Performance and Physical Thearpy'
How do people in more active states compare health-wise to those in states like Missouri? Are they more injury prone? Has technology changed our postural habits? Jason shares his thoughts on some of most common injuries with his patients and how it could tie-in with living in the Midwest.
We also dissect the importance of breathing techniques for heavy lifting, ways to enhance general mobility and Jason shares example of ways he improved his clients' general movement patterns.

Their venue open in 2016 and since then has become a KC staple for providing a classy, sophisticated, 1920's-style experience. James asks where the idea came about, what made them open their distillery in the downtown region, and learns how their own family history ties in neatly with the location's overall theme.

Welcome to the first episode of 'A Bloke in KC,' the show that sees myself - James Rose, a British native, come to learn more about life in Kansas City. With the help of some local guests, I'll piece together those elements of what makes Kansas City tick, as well as uncover those hidden gems, and what the exciting future holds for this beautiful Mid-West city.
For this premiere episode, I chat with local Fox 4 KC news reporter Marcus Officer. Marcus has been based in KC since 2017, having moved from Texas but having spent some of his earlier years in Ipswich, England. We get to know more about what brought him to KC, as well as some cultural differences he's experienced.
