When I came back from holidays, I realized the dimension of the crypto blood bath that happened while I was away. Even if this certainly hurts everybody, there is still a nice side effect for the people who are invested in Liotes. Check out the video for more information.

It's nice to see that there are more and more ways to earn LEN tokens in addition to the mining rewards from staking LENM or the daily dividends from delegating to the @liotes.voter account. Several projects are actually distributing LEN tokens as rewards for providing liquidity to their token pairs.

It has been a very long time since we have given an update in the form of a video. Today, we have renewed and refilled the reward pool linked to the diesel pools LEN:LENM. The reward pool will be going on for 364 days and we have added the following rewards to it:
- 3500 LEN tokens
- 0.002 Swap.BTC
- 160 CTPSB
This bring the total value in the reward pool to 516 $ and the APR for providing liquidity lies at around 21.5%.

Hello, this is Achim and welcome to a new Liotes mission. Today is a bit a special mission because I actually just want to ask something of you.
For the project that I'm planning to actually onboard people to Hive, the idea is to make them earn some crypto with easy websites where you can watch ads, do faucets, and so on and then to use this crypto and send it to Hive, buy Liotes Mills or power up Hive and thereby getting into Hive without actually realizing it.
Now that I'm building this course, I would like to ask you whether you are ready to actually try out these programs. I would like to know how much people can earn with these programs and the best way to do that is to actually try it out. So I would suggest a program that you can join for free and where you can actually collect some coins for free. This would be done in the context of a mission. After a week, I would ask you how much you have earned and then I would reward you accordingly with upvotes. Just to make sure that it is also a win for you. This would give me some knowledge as how much people could actually generate over these programs.
To sum up, the question is the following:
Would you be willing to spend like 10 minutes a day for a week to actually try out some of these programs? Maybe don't just answer yes or no. Say how much time you would be willing to invest into this or why you don't want to take part.
If this really works, it could be actually very profitable for the whole Liotes community. I don't want to spill the beans too much, but it could have a very big impact, but it really depends whether it works or not. To figure this out, I need your help.

After reading the comments on the last Liotes News post, I had to jump back on camera and reply to some of the concerns from commentators...
Liotes project is like a mirror of its investors... All funds that are inside the project are funds that you spent to buy LENM (or LEN), plus profits from different income streams (@liotes.voter curation rewards, @ourpick curation rewards, tribe token earnings, dividend tokens earnings, etc), minus already paid profits through buying and burning LEN tokens... People who bought their LENM tokens 2 years ago have earned profits during all that time (if they staked their LENM tokens), and they still own their LENM that are valued even more today, than at the beginning...
But, the topic of the video was the LEN price... Is it undervalued? Is it overvalued? What is the "real" price? Who determines that? Check out the video and tell us what you think in the comment section...
Again, this is just my point of view and it can be opposite to your point of view... It is not financial advice either, so feel free to do whatever you want with your tokens... That is the point of cryptocurrencies, isn't it? Freedom to do whatever you want with YOUR assets...
PS. I made a mistake in the video saying that all staked LENM tokens are mining 1004 LEN tokens per week... The real number is 1008 tokens...

I'd be curious to know how many people here play Splinterlands and in what league. In conjunction with that, do people rent cards and how they go about it if they do. ( Do they only rent a couple splinters? Do they only rent a couple big cards? Etc.). Finally, what is their ultimate goal/destination with Splinterlands? Do they just want to use it for fun and a little income? Do they ultimately want to sell it out and buy something? Also, how long have people been playing and how long do they plan on sticking with it?

Hey, Liotes guys and girls... @ph1102 here with my Hive Fest report that I promised a "long" time ago and you have asked for it... But, in this video, I didn't talk about presentations from Hive Fest, nor about people on the stage, I have tried to talk about the audience, or better said, future audience... So, this talk is about YOU...
This was my first Hive Fest in real-life and I didn't know what to expect... Okay, I had some expectations, but now, I can say that it was even better than I thought... We had 2 "conference days" and additional 2 days for networking (which we could do in between presentations)... I have met so many awesome people and had so many great chats with them... Mostly about HIVE, but also about their projects/blogs, how it can be improved, etc...
Talks with others helped me a lot to "see the other side" of the coin, or better-said HIVE, or better said people's view about it... Whales are thinking in one way, minnows are thinking in another way, and app developers in a third way, but the most important thing is that everyone works for HIVE and the token can only benefits from that!

I came back from holidays yesterday evening and am still slightly tired from my 13 hours journey. I spent a nice time in Turkey. I also had a lot of discussions with people living there and one topic came up all the time: Inflation. It is hitting Turkey hard but I believe that other countries also suffer from it.

This week-end @ph1102 and me discussed the Liotes Ranking. We needed to implement a change for two reasons. First there is a growing inequality between people investing in the project and people only taking part in our Missions. The later collect more and more points for the ranking and we believe that this makes the Missions almost too interesting compared to the other ways to earn points for the ranking.
Another thing that we realized is that there are some people who were active at the beginning of the project but haven't been seen for quite some time. They are still in the top 40 but actually they are not active anymore. The idea of the project is to support people who are posting stuff now.
We therefore decided to introduce a decay for the credits earned in missions before 1.5.2022. I have tried to explain how it works in the video but I'm not 100% sure that I was successful.

With crypto prices generally not doing so well over the last weeks, we thought it might be a good idea to have a look at the different tokens that we have invested in.
Whenever we sell LENM tokens, the proceeds are powered up and the Hive Power is then delegated out. The interests that we get from these delegations are then used partially to invest in secondary income sources.

There are plenty of front-ends that access the Hive blockchain. In this post we would like to bring some awareness to the tribe front-ends. The main difference with standard front-ends like peakd or hive.blog is that on these front-ends you will only see posts with the according tag. Also the trending pages are constructed according to the post value in the token of the platform.
If you have a big stake in tribe tokens, you can achieve quite a great visibility on the front-end of the token.

We started the liotes project a bit more than a year ago. Every week the Liotes Mills (LENM) generate 1008 new LEN tokens. This means that so far around 55'000 tokens have been generated and so far we have burnt 30'000 of them. Which is more than half of the supply!

During the last two weeks, we have organized the Liotes Staking Challenge to celebrate the first birthday of the Liotes project. Exactly one year ago today, the Liotes Launch took place.
The participants just needed to stake as many LENM tokens as possible to participate in this challenge.
28 people enrolled and 21 of them actually staked some tokens and are therefore elegible to win some prize money in the form of LENM tokens. Among all the participants 136 LENM tokens were staked during this challenge. The 5 best stakers will win one of the special prizes.

There was a major update of the User Interface on Tribaldex that allows us to have an overview of all our assets in the Diesel Pool. This allows us to actually publish the value of our holdings in these pools.

On 9.3.2021, we have started the sale of the Liotes Mills and we consider it the creation date of this project. To celebrate our first anniversary we have prepared a challenge for you!
The Liotes Birthday Staking Challenge ! The idea of this challenge is to stake as many LENM tokens as possible until the 9.3.2022. There will be nice prizes for all participants.
How to take part? It's very easy to take part in this challenge. Write a comment below this post with the number of staked LENM tokens that you have today. You can find your staked tokens with this link. Please make sure that you give us only the staked tokens. The ones that are liquid or in the diesel pool don't count. This will be your starting level of the challenge. At the end of the challenge, we will simply calculate the difference in your stake. The person who will have staked the most tokens will win the challenge!
How long will this challenge last? This challenge will finish on Wednesday 9.3.2022 at 11h00 CET. At this time, we will take a snapshot of all the LENM token holders and calculate the increase of LENM staked for each participants.
What can you win? At the end of the challenge, we will distribute some prizes in the form of LENM tokens. There will be 15 LENM tokens distributed (maybe more). Everybody who takes part in the challenge, will get a prize. The more LENM tokens you stake, the bigger your prize.
The best stakers will also get some special prizes that will be presented at a later stage.

Today we have added a new tokens to the reward pool which is linked to the LEN:LENM diesel pool. Our initial plan was to add all the tokens of our secondary income sources to the pool but we have realized two problems:
decrease in value of added tokens Both LEN and LENM tokens are closely linked to the value of hive. Most of the other tokens that we are curating and accumulating are not. If hive goes up, the value of the rewards goes down and thereby also the APR for liquidity providers.
the tokens in the reward pool are blocked When trying to add tokens to the reward pool, we realized that these tokens would be blocked for a big amount of time. During all this time, these tokens can't generate curation rewards. We were therefore a bit reluctant to put more money into the reward pool.
The perfect solution We have found a solution with a token that is directly linked to hive because it corresponds to a tokenized hive account. In addition to that this token profits from the curation and author rewards that the underlying account is generating. It grows therefore with the speed of a hive account that is leveraged by delegations. At the moment the APR of this token is close to 69%... I've needed a lot of time to realize the potential and I should have seen that earlier because I have created the token I'm talking about...
I'm speaking about the CTPSB token that most of you probably know already. If you want to learn more about this token, you can check out the website.
From now on, we will use a percentage of the income from the tokens of the secondary sources and purchase CTPSB with them. By adding CTPSB tokens to the reward pool, the money inside the pool will continue to be at work and everybody will get higher rewards in the form of a token that is indexed to the hive value.

When we look at the people in the Liotes community we are quite happy to see that most of the ones that joined the project at the start are still here. We deduct that people are quite happy with Liotes. However, we also realized that we didn't manage to bring that many new users to the project in the meantime. More users would be good for the project. This would mean more LENM sold, more votes on our posts, more interaction and more value for everybody. Therefore, we would like to ask you for your ideas how to reach that goal:

About 5 days ago we have launched the Liotes Diesel Pool and we are quite happy with how it was used so far. In the video we show you some numbers to illustrate that.
