"Weet jij misschien waar ik stage mag lopen met een hoofddoek?"
Met deze vraag begon Hanan Challouki haar post op LinkedIn, eentje die ze regelmatig ontvangt van studenten die een hoofddoek dragen. De oproep naar bedrijven die het wel toelaten was duidelijk en kreeg gehoor bij honderden bedrijven. Maar wat nu? Hanan Challouki beantwoordt enkele vragen en deelt een belangrijke next step.
De aardbevingen in Marokko hebben een impact op Belgische Marokkanen en hun families en vrienden in het land waar hun roots liggen. Hanan Challouki has spoken to Megan Maley, Zalando’s General Manager for Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, UK and Ireland. Megan drives Zalando's vision to be the Starting Point for Fashion in these five markets by leading local teams and defining localised strategies.
Megan explains how Zalando has made D&I an integral part of its business operations: internally and externally, at the corporate level and locally. She shares insights into Zalando’s D&I strategy, called do.BETTER, and some of the achievements of Zalando’s D&I report 2022. She discusses some of the challenges and learnings to make the company and the industry a place where everyone feels welcome. She also explains how Zalando, for example, incorporates this in its marketing activities and the assortment it offers to customers.
