Baggage? What is it and how do people deal with it? I am not talking about baggage that you pack for a vacation, but more about the things that we carry around with us that people don't see. The stories, the history, and our experiences that we carry with us. Most of the time we can't see the baggage that people carry with them with the naked eye because it's not something that we wear or show to others. Many people don't share their history and past. Baggage is something that is from within and something that shapes a person to how they are right now in the present. Give this episode a listen as I share a little bit about me and some things that I carry around with me and how to unload some baggage that you might have right now that may be weighing you down.

Vulnerability has been a something that I know I lack and many people do. So what is vulnerability and why do so many of us struggle with it? How do you know if you don't practice it and how is it beneficial to you? Vulnerability is the willingness to show emotion or to allow one's weakness to be seen or known; willingness to risk being hurt or attacked. Tune in to understand vulnerability and how it affects us and how it will be beneficial when you do practice!

There are so many chapters in our lives and my undergrad years of my college career is a huge chapter of mine. Being in my last semester of my Master's right now, I always look back on the last four years and the memories from it. Changing from the person I was coming out of high school to the person I am today. The different people that have come and gone in and out and my life through these years. It's hard not to think back on what has happened these past years. If I could go back in time, I would do somethings differently. There are so many things that could have turned out differently and I could be a different person today. Personally, I believe that everything happens for a reason and everyone comes in your life for a reason either that be good or bad. Thinking about my undergrad years I'd tell myself to step out of my comfort zone and be less selfish. College is a time to experiment and explore the endless possibilities. It's a time to find yourself and find your passion. It is also a time to find those meaningful, real, and long-lasting friends. It's the time to not have to worry about others things but just what is going on right then and there. I recently did a final project on teacher burnout for one of my graduate classes, and it inspired me to cover the topic on burnout on this podcast. Different factors because of your career can lead to burnout, but things in your everyday life can also lead to burnout. Before going into burnout, I feel like it is important to understand the difference between stress and burnout. In simple terms stress involves too many pressures and the person can still feel that they have everything under control and that they’ll feel better. On the other hand, burnout is about not enough, feeling empty, and do not see positive change in their situation. In this episode, I will go in depth about the difference between stress and burnout, different factors that affect and cause burnout, and signs and symptoms. Lastly, I will go over some ways to cope with and combat burnout. These are some info that I presented in my own project about teacher burnout and some additional research that I have done about burnout in general. *** I am by no means a professional in this field. These are just some information that I have gathers related to burnout to give that that need a little more knowledge about it and to further my own education on this topic. If you need professional help please reach out to a professional in the field. Link: https://www.helpguide.org/articles/stress/burnout-prevention-and-recovery.htm Instagram: @letstalkwhateverr
