We visit with Django about life without touring, balancing studio work, songwriting and kid wrangling during this time of Covid and about his reflections on vinyl records.
We have an opportunity to visit with some of the founding Big FOR His AGE band members, Gregg Anderson, Cathey Anderson and Gary Oreskovich about their contributions to the new album and their reflections on vinyl records and to visit with one of the more recent live band members, drummer, Ben Anderson.
David Nichols is a resident faculty member at Glendale Community College and the founder of Livinghead Audio Recording, one of Arizona's most iconic recording studios that operated in Phoenix for over 15 years. David Co-produced and engineered the first Big FOR His AGE album and tracked several of the songs that became the foundation of the Big FOR His AGE Too album. David shares stories of his love for vinyl, Beatles and the recording process.
This week we visit with the groovy Mark Anderson an awesome multi instrumental musician who has been playing live shows with Big FOR His AGE Family since he was a kid. Mark brings his talent as a bass player, guitarist, saxophone player and graphic designer to the new Big FOR His AGE Too album. We spend some time visiting with Mark about his many creative interests.
Kerry Jackson is multi-instrumental Arizona abased studio musician and live performer. He contributed his unique talents to the first Big FOR His AGE album and now almost 20 years later plays on the new Big FOR His AGE Too album. We had a chance to borrow a little of Kerry's time to talk about guitars, music, collaboration, and the Big FOR His AGE Too album. Steve Southerland is a singer songwriter who grew up in the Kansas City area and now lives in Seattle, Washington. Steve wrote and co-wrote several songs on the first Big FOR His AGE album. and co-wrote and performed on She Said He Said on the new Big FOR His AGE Too album.
Dan Tomlinson is a professional drummer who currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Dan spent 16 years on the road with Lyle Lovett and is currently Lyle's first call back up drummer. Dan has a long history as a studio drummer and was on the first Big FOR His AGE album. Dan has contributed his drumming talents to most of the songs on the new Big FOR His AGE Too album arriving in November 2020. rexomatic.com
