As the city expands, the farming community shrinks! But why? In reality, this is a pretty complex problem. We've been hearing about farmers and trade situation, but they've it rough for years, and in my local area there's been a major exodus from the countryside as farming families close up shop and move to the city. However, ten minutes isn't enough to get in it in a real way, and that would be much too serious for Radio Skyline.

One fascinating aspect of modern, local politics is the effort to keep large corporations where they are, or to entice them to move to new cities. I think at this point the data shows that the tax breaks are actually a net loss for the locals, but cities hold out hope anyway because in some theoretical future, forty years later, maybe those companies will pay taxes, and then you'll have a huge cut of the global economy in your town.
