The world of acting is fascinating. We all watch movies, shows, sitcoms; some of us enjoy the theatre; however, very few know that lies behind the curtain within the life of every single actor; how he or she came into discovering the love and passion for drama, the training and discipline that it requires, as well as the ongoing desire to further develop the craft and improve your body, mind and soul. Gigi Guizado is today's guest, originally from Northern California, she now lives in Las Vegas where she is an active part of the theatre community. Gigi's acting experience goes beyond Southern Nevada, it includes national and international performances as well as film.

The great early American musical genre "Barrelhouse Blues" played an important role in the development of the beautiful American songbook; it was the link between two very important musical genres still popular today; it was born in the deep South, in the imagination of African Americans with the piano as their instrument of execution. In spite of its crucial role, it has fallen into the vaults of the forgottennes. Fortunately, Ethan Leinwand is a young and talented pianist with a passion for Barrelhouse Blues; in this episode he shares his love and research. I invite you to join Cultural Q and Ethan, a leading authority on this musical genre, as we travel through time from the great ragtime era to rock and roll days through the heart and soul of the deep South's Barrelhouse Blues.
