Dr. Delphie Dugal-Tessier is a highly accomplished martial artist and passionate advocate for women's self-defence. With over 15 years of experience in martial arts, she began her journey after retiring from the National Mogul Team, seeking a new way to stay fit and active. Her curiosity led her to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), where she quickly fell in love with the art and began competing across North America, culminating in her winning the Master World Championship as a purple belt. Today, she holds a black belt in BJJ, awarded by the renowned Marcelo Garcia, and also a black belt in Self-Defence Jiu-Jitsu.
In addition to her martial arts expertise, Delphie is a dedicated self-defence instructor, teaching kickboxing, grappling, and self-defence at Silver 7 Martial Arts. Her mission to empower women stems from a personal experience, which highlighted the importance of self-defence beyond physical techniques, focusing on mental preparedness and situational awareness. She believes that self-defence is primarily mental and teaches women how to avoid dangerous situations and establish strong personal boundaries.
With a decade of teaching experience, Delphie will offer an interactive seminar at Capital Conquest that provides practical self-defence skills and foster personal empowerment, helping women stay safe and confident in any situation.
