The goal of the New Covenant, and the Bible therefore, is that we hear from God and carry out what He calls us to do. The direct, immediate communication from God revealed to our hearts is what Hebrews chapter 3 and 4 call us to. Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart. He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith (Gal.3:5)?
We have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith (Rom.1:5).
In the New Covenant, God's instruction is written on the hearts of His people. Joel 2 prophesied of a time when all God's people would hear from Him and share what they hear. Listening as Pastor Steve explains how even a brand new believer can do this.
King David at the end of his reign (2 Samuel 22:36) said of God, "Your gentleness makes me strong"(Psalm 18:35). Listen as Pastor Steve teaches on the gentleness of God and how that encourages us to show kindness and gentleness to others.
The Apostle John wrote, "We have come to know and have believed the love God has for us" (1 Jn 4:16). How closely do those words match the entries in our daily journal? Could we really say we feel God's love on such a regular basis that we've come to know it? And do we fully believe it? Many believers today know this verse only in theory, but the reality of it does not truly express the reality of their heart. John Wimber once said, "The last move of God often criticizes the next move of God." In other words, sometimes God brings a revival in a new way that's different from before, and people have trouble identifying it as His movement because it doesn't fit into their understanding. What if God wants to do something new in your life? Will you be open to it? Have you invited God to come into your life and do whatever He wants to do, in the way He chooses? The New Covenant is prophesied in Jeremiah within the context of chapters 30-33. Listen as Pastor Steve explains all the benefits and blessings that belong to all New Covenant believers.
Christians have God's peace to relish, but too often they relinquish it. There's a difference between being a peace keeper and a peace maker. Once we see how powerful peace is, we will see why the enemy does all he can to steal it from us. Listen as Pastor Steve encourages us to accept, grow in, and pour out God's peace to others.
Many people have heard Jesus died in their place, but they don't necessarily realize He lived in their place too. Adam lost the privilege of meeting with God in the cool of the day. Israel had the opportunity to meet with God (Exodus 25:22) but failed to follow through. Jesus, however, met with His Father early in the morning before the sun had risen. Find encouragement as Pastor Small explains the restoration Jesus provides so that we can meet with God. Your devotional times will never be the same!
In the New Covenant, God's law (torah) is placed within our hearts. Torah can also be translated "instruction." The indwelling Holy Spirit provides us with instructions to follow. This is the way to preserve the unity the Spirit produces in the (New Covenant) bond of peace.

The Greek translation of the Old Testament (LXX) often translated the phrase "Be strong and courageous" as "Act like men." What does it mean for Christians to follow the New Testament command to "act like men"(1 Corinthians 16:13)?
