Alameda has been Christ Episcopal Church's home for over 150 years, and we're excited to be part of what’s next. We're launching a new series of conversations with arts, culture, tech, education, and civic leaders this spring. Doors open for all events at 6 p.m. and program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Programs will also be live-streamed on our website and Facebook pages.
A community-wide forum on homelessness in our community. We’re hoping to put our community’s approach to homelessness on a more sustainable footing.
Panelists include Alisa Rasera of Christ Church, Joey Harrison of The Village of Love, and Alameda CA Mayor Marilyn Ezzy-Ashcraft.
Marilyn Ezzy AshcraftMayor of Alameda
Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft was elected Mayor in 2018 after serving on the Alameda City Council since 2012, and served as Vice Mayor from 2012 to 2014.
Marilyn represents Alameda at the League of California Cities (League), serves on the League's statewide Housing, Community and Economic Development Policy Committee which she formerly chaired, and is President of the East Bay Division of the League.
Marilyn is currently President of the Alameda County Mayors Conference and a member of the Mayors Conference Homeless Working Group. She also represents Alameda at the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), is a member of ABAG's Regional Planning Committee, and represents Alameda at the Alameda County Transportation Commission.

Based at the former Alameda Air Station, Astra’s mission is to Improve Life on Earth from Space™ by creating a healthier and more connected planet.
Matt oversees Astra’s business operations. He previously served as the executive vice president of engineering & technology at Carbon Lighthouse. Matt received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University. He’s also the Dad of three, and a member of Christ Church.
The mission of Rhythmix Cultural Works brings people of all ages together to experience and explore music, dance, visual art and educational opportunities. Bean has served as executive director of Rhythmix Cultural Works since 2010. Long inspired by global traditions and spontaneous music-making, she has studied and traveled extensively around the world. She holds a Master’s of Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. Tina created interactive audiovisual exhibits for the Experience Music Project in Seattle, Zeum Children’s Museum in San Francisco, and Give Kids the World Resort in Orlando. Her composition credits include music for NPR, video games, TV and documentary soundtracks, and recording/performing with Brian Eno, Mickey Hart, and many other ensembles.
