We jump into a new series this week and look at Jesus in John 4 as He sets an example for us to love people who aren't like us.
For the next few weeks we are going to look at each Fruit to the Spirit and see how we can let these good fruits grow in our lives. This is the intro the setup for all the weeks to follow!
Blake Ehl shared tonight from the movie Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson who plays Black Widow has a line in this movie...
"I've got red in my ledger and I'd like to wipe it out"
Translation: I've made many mistakes and like to wipe them away.
She ends up trying to right her wrongs by doing good, in her mind the more good the more wrongs washed away. She wants redemption.
Many times as Christians we do the same. We try to be good enough and do enough good works, we think we can redeem ourselves.
There is only one who can redeem and wash away our sin, our red, and that is Jesus on the cross! Saved by grace, not our work!

It's always had figuring out what our vocational purpose is. We know as Christians our glorious purpose is to Love God and Love Others. Here is an exercise that may help you begin the path to purpose in a vocation.
