Jennifer has a guest on her podcast today. Brooke Brown is an author and a public speaker. She holds the title of Ms. Wheelchair Arizona 2022, and last year she was in the top 5 for the missed wheelchair, America pageant, where she was third runner-up. Jennifer and Brooke talk about Christians in the disability community and the lack of awareness and acceptance of people with disabilities in the church. Jennifer explains some of the barriers that people with disabilities face and what they would like to see changed to improve their quality of life. Brooke would like the income cap for disability benefits to be raised and the marriage income cap revised. Jennifer wants to change the law so that other disabled people don't have to make the same choices. She has cried many tears over this issue. Jennifer and Brooke agree that it's a travesty that disabled people have to choose between their needs and their wants. In this episode, Jennifer and Brooke talk about history and disability.

In this episode of Jennifer's Podium Podcast, Jennifer interviews Joey Caggiano, who was born with cerebral palsy.  Joey has a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology as well as a Master's Degree in Social work.  He spent 7 years working in a forensic lab and later went into the Mental Health field to make a difference in people's lives.  He is currently a registered Therapist Intern and works for a non-profit organization that provides affordable Mental Health Care.
