Jim began his career in the capital markets trading industry in the eurodollar options pit at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He eventually worked for the exchange in its rollout of their electronic trading systems and then moved to the London International Financial Futures Exchange to lead its US Technology division. During this time, Jim also completed his Master of Business Administration.
In 2010, Jim heeded God’s call to transition from trading technologies to enter into full-time ministry, working jointly as the chief marketing officer in a trading technologies company while co-founding a media-based outreach ministry. Jim’s ministry involvement since then has been through leadership roles with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Campus Crusade for Christ
Jim leads three of Chicago’s 14 LeaderImpact groups and writes curriculum for LeaderImpact. When not leading groups or LeaderImpact staff, Jim and his wife Heidi are committed to their five children and two grandchildren.
Jim is currently on the Board of LeaderImpact in the US and is now Pastor of Evangelism at College Church in Wheaton, where he is also the head football coach and wrestling coach at Wheaton Academy in West Chicago, Illinois.

For the second time in her Athletic career, Carol LaFayette-Boyd of Regina has been named the World Masters Athletics Female Athlete of the Year. In 2022, Carol broke six world records in the women's 80+ age category. In total, she has 17 world age group records to her name. To put her astonishing athleticism and talent in perspective, Carol ran a 16.23 second 100 M race. The fastest woman ran a 10.49 seconds 100 m.
A retired social worker, Carol did not start running until her late 40s and didn’t win her first competitive track event until she was 50. This great-grandmother of four has no plans to slow down or hang up her spikes; she plans to continue running for the rest of her life.
Carol's key to longevity is her passion for staying healthy which keeps her training at her best. She says she is inspired by the women who are competing in the 100+ age category. She says she has lots of time to do that and for right now she would just like to stay healthy and do better in her times in all events.

John grew up in Gillette, Wyoming surrounded by an unbelievable support network. He attended Utah State University where he graduated with his Bachelor in Exercise Science. He signed with the Houston Texans and went on to a 12-year professional football career in both the NFL and CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and the Edmonton Eskimos. He is a 2-time Grey Cup Champion, a 3 time ALL-Star, 3-time nominee for the CFL’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player.
His more cherished accomplishment during his football career was in the way he was able to serve the communities he lived as a national advocate for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation; a condition in which he has proudly conquered daily since the age of 14.
In 2018 John stepped away from football to provide a more stable life for his amazing wife Catherine and their 10 wonderful children. He started 2 businesses Iron Will Fitness and Kickin It Coed, and recently became a director of prison ministry.
He loves to workout, play board games, and pick up basketball, and I heard he submitted a video for The Titan Games because of his belief in himself, his family, and in Jesus Christ.

For over 20 years, Andy has served in ministry as a youth pastor and marriage ministry pastor. He has found that not much changes in each role, just that some come with more wrinkles and less hair.
Andy is an advocate for mental health awareness as he has known the heaviness of depression himself. He is passionate about fighting against the awful attack of mental health issues that are running rampant across the human race.
At his heaviest, Andy weighed 345 lbs and his wife Tiffany weighed 317 lbs. Together, they have lost over 350 lbs combined and have co-founded a health coaching business called “Taking Back My Life” where they have helped thousands of people get healthy as well. Through this journey, Andy has become passionate about fitness and working out.
Andy currently lives outside Dallas, Texas with his wife Tiffany and their three beautiful daughters Payton, Parker, and Presley.

Dave is a retired United States Air Force Command Chief Master Sergeant with over 30 years of service. He is a registered nurse and emergency manager and served as a medic in areas of operations including Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South America, Iraq, Korea, Japan, and Hungary.
Dave grew up in rural Northern California in a dairy farming community and left home at 19 to join the Air Force and ascended through the enlisted ranks to culminate as the senior enlisted leader for all nuclear missile forces in the United States. Dave currently lives in Montana and continues to be a mentor and speaks to young leaders to aid in their development and future successes.

Greg is a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Yorkton and was first elected in 2007 representing the Saskatchewan Party. He has served as Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, Minister Responsible for Rural and Remote Health and Minister responsible for the Water Security Agency and for Saskatchewan-Ukraine relations. He has currently been appointed Government Whip in 2020.
Greg and his wife Leone have been married 36 1/2 years. They have two married daughters, and five grandchildren. In 1998, Greg and Leone started "Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer," to raise money for cancer research. The charity is named in honor of their son, Brayden, who lost his battle with cancer in 2000 at age 5. Approximately $1 million has been raised for cancer research and local cancer initiatives. When Brayden got ill, through his treatment and loss, Greg’s wife came up with the quote, “bitter or better…you can choose the vowel”… and although sometimes it’s easier to be bitter, quite often they will choose better.
The conversation today is about being a public figure and living your faith out loud. It has not been easy for Greg and he is here today to share a bit of his story.

Michael is a professor of Leadership and Strategy at Messiah University and the former Dean of the Regent University School of Business. Dr. Zigarelli’s research in the fields of management, leadership, practical theology, law and ethics has appeared in a number of scholarly journals and magazines, and he is the author of twelve books, including the book we are discussing today about what it looks like when a follower of Jesus runs a business. The book is called Christian-Owned Companies, and Michael’s work has been translated into several languages.
Professor Zigarelli is also the creator of the Christianity 9 to 5 resource center and YouTube channel, where more than 2 million viewers across 130 countries have accessed his instructional videos.

Paul studied agriculture at the University of Guelph where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Crop Science and his Master’s degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics. He began a 26-year research career with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, and in that time he studied Range Management at Utah State University where he completed his Ph.D. in 1987. His career also included 9 years as Vice-President of the Western Beef Development Centre. He was editor of the Canadian Journal of Plant Science from 98 to 2000.
Paul and his wife Nancy have 3 children, one daughter-in-law and one grandson.
He retired in 2016 and consults on agriculture research and scientific writing and is an adjunct professor at the University of Saskatchewan. He has published 88 scientific (peer-reviewed) research papers and has given many technical presentations.
Paul believes that no research project is complete until the results are published in a peer-reviewed journal article. His personal discovery that science and faith are not contradictory but complementary has impacted his work and life.
Paul and Nancy have been billet parents of teenage hockey players on the Humboldt Broncos team each season for the last 10 years. On April 6, 2018, the team bus collided with a semi-truck resulting in 16 fatalities and 13 injuries. The crash made news around the world and prompted condolences from public figures and celebrities, vigils, and tributes, such as people leaving hockey sticks outside their doors.
Paul has shared with many groups how his faith sustained him during the tragedy.

Today you are going to meet not only a Canadian hockey legend but the man who started LeaderImpact in 1984.
Paul Henderson, a former Canadian NHLer who played left wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings, and Atlanta Flames is best known for scoring the winning goal for Team Canada in the 1972 Summit Series against the former USSR.
Paul’s many accolades include being a member of several sports Hall of Fame, honored with numerous awards including the Order of Canada, as well Paul holds two honorary Doctors of Divinity degrees, as well has authored several books including his autobiography. And while Paul has achieved 50 years of name recognition for his hard work from a single moment in time; his life purpose was realized after his career on the ice. Despite the fame - he felt an emptiness. Something was missing.

Bruce enjoyed a 37-year career with PCL Family of Companies, a $10 billion dollar international construction firm operating across North America and Australia. He specialized in developing next-generation leaders while leading high-performing construction teams delivering major commercial, residential, and healthcare projects. A widely consulted leadership mentor and construction subject matter expert, his projects have won many local, national, and international awards.
In 2021 Bruce founded ForALLI Inc., an international firm specializing in life and leadership coaching, mentoring young business leaders, advisory consultation to owners and developers, and construction expert consultation in legal disputes.
Bruce married his wife Sandi in 1984 and together they have served in various capacities including Children’s advocacy, community relations, committees, and governance within the faith community. Additionally, Bruce has served as director and board chairperson for industry and community arts organizations and as an international business and development advisor to NGOs in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, and Cambodia.
Bruce’s primary love is his family to whom he devotes significant focus to encourage their dreams as he joins their journey. He and Sandi have two married children, as well as three grandchildren with whom he shares his love of travel, lake life, and Lego.

For his first 5 years of life, Bill was exposed to a violent father and two alcoholic parents. From age 5 to 15 he was in a residential school in the Yukon year-round.
He went on to serve 37 years in the Federal Government in various departments before assuming his role with his own Band, the Tahltan First Nation. As the former President and CEO of the Tahltan (TAHL TAN) Nation Development Corporation, he established 30 joint venture operations with Canadian corporations. Under his leadership, gross revenue grew from 9 million per annum to more than 55 million.
Bill is currently a consultant with Arrow Transport, Senior Engagement Officer with the Federal Government on the TMX pipeline, and has a deep passion to help First Nations grow economically, collectively, and personally. Bill Adsit is a residential school Conqueror.

How to stay hungry in uncertain times
Ryan played and coached more than 1100 games over 17 seasons in the National Hockey League. His many achievements include being drafted #2 in the NHL draft, becoming the youngest NHL captain, and winning a Stanley Cup with the Montreal Canadiens. He is a BC Hockey Hall of Fame inductee and NHL Man of the Year.
Ryan has been the founding partner in 2 start-up companies, a TV hockey analyst, hockey expert and actor, board and electronic game creator, and the President of a professional hockey team. Ryan has a Master’s Degree in Leadership/Business, he is the recipient of the TEC Canada 2015 Speaker of the Year Award. And He is the author of 5 books, including his newest book, “Hungry, Fueling Your Best Game”.

Calvin is the founder and owner of Brightmark, a Salesforce consultancy based in Toronto. He has spent the last 15 years consulting with hundreds of companies on how to deliver stellar customer relationship management experiences through the adoption of cloud technologies. Calvin understands the specialized needs and true potential of Salesforce for companies in the financial services sector and has also developed a practice helping non-profits take advantage of Salesforce and related technologies. Before Brightmark, Calvin co-founded another $4M Salesforce consulting firm called Shift CRM.
And then he ventured a little further on his entrepreneurial journey and in 2021 he co-founded Lumishield, a Canadian manufacturer of the highest performing mobile air purifiers specifically designed to clean larger spaces. They invented their own air purifier that cleans the air 3-5 times faster than other brands to help customers achieve higher levels of clean air changes per hour. A solution that is mobile and easy to deploy.
As Lumishield’s CEO, Calvin leads their go-to-market strategy and business development. He is on a mission to help organizations achieve the highest levels of indoor air quality in their community spaces.

How cross-cultural heritage can create challenges and opportunities in business and faith.
Jonathan Friesen was raised in a small Japanese coastal town during the rapid economic growth of the 1960s, attended boarding school in Tokyo in the 70s, and University in Los Angeles in the 80s. After graduating, he settled in Vancouver and began a career in property development, building high-rise communities in the Vancouver downtown core and resorts in the South Seas.
The Friesen family eventually retired on the island of Grand Cayman and took part in a charitable housing organization. By 2002, Jonathan was ready to move back to British Columbia to re-engage with the property development world.
Jonathan currently serves as CEO of Mission Group Enterprises, which is one of the largest developers in the Okanagan, where he sets corporate growth strategy, casts vision and cultivates strategic partnerships. Friesen also serves on the board of several organizations in BC. With the broad perspective gained by global experience, he has learned that success comes not from fitting in, but by being different.

Andrew is Co-Founder and CEO of TechVision Global whose software has been used for McDonalds, Walgreens, and 7-Eleven. Although TechVision Global is headquartered in Tennessee, Andrew has chosen to work with software developers in Lviv, Ukraine.
Andrew is committed to being a Kingdom builder and this is demonstrated in his volunteer work in providing technical iOS support to the YouVersion Bible app, as well as supporting the church online platform for Life Church, and being part of the global leadership network for the Global Leadership Summit. Andrew is also a leader and senior pastor assistant at Hosanna Church in Liviv where he attends with his wife and two young children.
Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24th, Andrew's life along with everyone in Ukraine has changed, and new priorities have become their focus. Andrew is providing leadership, along with others from Hosanna Church, in the procurement and distribution of essential medical supplies along with providing shelter and assistance to internally displaced people. His strong leadership skills have well-prepared him for the many logistics involved in getting supplies to those in need. The church has used up its resources and the pooled personal resources are also being depleted. Impact Bridges Group, a Canadian registered not-for-profit based in Ottawa, is working with Hosanna and others to provide financial support to ensure medical supplies are made available to those in need. Over the course of his career, Garth has held many senior leadership positions in investment management, venture capital, corporate banking, international project financing, private debt placement, and investment banking.
After serving as Vice President Project Financing at Bank of Montreal and Vice President of Citibank responsible for Corporate Banking in Eastern Canada, he joined Middlefield Group in 1985, and for many years, he served as CEO of the group’s core investment management business.
After stepping back from his full-time duties at Middlefield in 2012, Garth assumed the role of Executive Director of LeaderImpact for several years. This involvement was a catalyst for his recently completed book, More Than Your Business Card.
Garth is currently Vice Chairman of Middlefield Group and Special Advisor to the senior management team. He also serves on the national board of directors of Teen Challenge Canada and the board of Catch The Fire Church in Toronto.

Arlene Jorgenson is businesswoman with a background in nursing and occupational health. Arlene is the former President/CEO/Founder of HEALTHSERV SK, which launched in 1992. HealthServ became Saskatchewan's largest occupational health services provider, specializing in independent medicals, immunizations, drug and alcohol testing, and Return To Work programs. Winner of the 2007 ABEX Award for Customer Service and the 2011 SABEX Award for Growth & Expansion, Arlene and her team had a reputation for expertise and excellence in the medical field.
In 2013 she sold her company and retired to take care of her husband, who was living with cancer. This was a change she was not ready for.
