Last Thursday, the Rams Women's Basketball team officially dropped "Ryerson" from their name on social media in solidarity with indigenous communities. For quite sometime, Indigenous faculty and students at the school have been asking for a name change by the university that's self-titled after Egerton Ryerson - a prominent contributor to the Canadian Residential School System.

Founder of The Playbook, Briana Wice, sits down with Rams women's basketball players, Marin Scotten & Kyia Giles, as they discuss their teams decision, why this cause is so important, and what other student-athletes can do to support indigenous communities.
