What’s the Word? with Jaime McFaden lifestyle and self care specialist, is a podcast is about all things wellness. Each week we will focus on a word of the day and give some tips on how to utilize that word to help change your life for the better!
What if wellness didn’t have to feel like another thing on your to-do list? In this walk-and-talk episode of What’s the Word?, Jaime explores the healing power of music, movement, faith, and everyday joy—and why sometimes the simplest practices are the ones we need most.
What if some of the most powerful wellness tools are things we already have access to?
A favorite song. A walk outside. Dancing in the kitchen. Prayer. Play. Connection.
In this episode of What's the Word?, Jaime takes you along for a quick walk-and-talk about music, movement, and the rhythm God created us to live in.
Inspired by Psalm 149:3 — "Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him..." — we're exploring what happens when we stop treating movement as punishment and start seeing it as joy, connection, worship, and care for ourselves.
In this episode:
Today's word: RHYTHM.
Have you ever felt like everyone else has more help than you?
In this week's episode of What's the Word?, I'm sharing a real and honest summer update—what it's been like navigating life as a full-time mom of two while building a business with limited childcare, chasing big dreams, and learning to let go of the pressure to do it all.
Together we'll reflect on Romans 12:4–5 and the reminder that God created us for community. We each have unique gifts, and none of us were meant to carry life's burdens alone.
In this episode, we'll talk about:
Challenge of the Week: Reach out to one person. Encourage them, ask for help, or simply remind them they're not alone.
If this episode encouraged you, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who could use the reminder today.
And if you're looking for a faith-filled community of women pursuing healthier, more intentional lives while building businesses and supporting one another, I'd love to connect and see if the Rooted + Rise Village is the right fit for you.
Remember: we're better together. 🌊
This week reminded me of something I think we've forgotten.
We're not meant to build businesses, raise families, heal, or chase big dreams alone.
In this episode I'm sharing the biggest lessons from an incredible week inside Waves Wellness Village—from our paddle out honoring mental health, to the amazing women showing up for each other, the momentum happening inside our social media challenge, and why I believe community might be the greatest form of self-care.
If you've been feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or like you're carrying everything yourself... this one's for you.
We'll also talk about:
If this episode encouraged you, share it with a friend who needs a reminder that she doesn't have to do life alone.
Episode Highlights
This week has honestly been one I'll never forget.
Inside our 60-day Ride the Waves challenge, women have been showing up every single day. Not perfectly—but consistently.
And that's where real transformation begins.
Some of my favorite wins this week:
🌊 Hosted one of our favorite Village accountability calls yet.
🌊 Kicked off an 8-week coaching journey with one of our Village members as she grows her business.
🌊 Welcomed new women into the Waves Wellness Village community.
🌊 Hosted our paddle out honoring mental health—a beautiful reminder that healing happens in community.
🌊 Continued posting every day during our social media challenge, reaching thousands of new people and welcoming hundreds into our growing community.
🌊 Watching women begin collaborating, supporting one another, and realizing they don't have to build their dreams alone.
WHAT IF YOU TRUSTED THE NUDGE?
What if that dream, idea, or thought that keeps coming back isn't random?
What if God is trying to get your attention?
After taking a little break, Jaime is back with a new episode of What's the Word? — and this week's word is all about FAITH, VISION, and trusting the nudge before you know exactly how it's all going to work out.
Inspired by Ecclesiastes 11:6, Jaime shares what she's learning through her own 60-day self-care and visibility challenge, the difference between saying we trust God and actually moving like we do, and why sometimes we have to stop digging up the seeds to check if they're growing.
Because let's be real...
We pray for clarity and then ask for 17 more signs, a business plan, a timeline, and a guarantee. 😂
In this episode, Jaime talks about allowing herself to finally SEE the bigger vision — community, speaking, music, movement, travel, helping moms, and building a true village — even when she doesn't know exactly how every piece will come together.
You'll hear about:
• Trusting the ideas that won't leave you alone
• Why clarity often comes after movement
• Planting seeds without obsessing over the fruit
• Recognizing the people and opportunities already showing up
• Building a dream while you're still in the middle of it
• Making ONE move today instead of waiting for the whole plan
A reminder for anyone who feels behind, stuck, or unsure:
Your dream is possible.
You're not too late.
You do not have to figure it all out today.
Keep planting. Keep watering. Keep moving.
And don't wait for the village.
Be the village you want to see. 🌊

You can be doing everything… and still feel like it’s not enough.
In this episode, we’re having a real, honest conversation about the weight so many moms are carrying right now—the invisible load, the emotional labor, and the quiet burnout that often goes unseen.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, stretched too thin, or like you’re falling short no matter how much you do… this is for you.
We ground this conversation in truth and scripture, reminding ourselves that we were never meant to do life alone. We are called to live in community—to carry each other’s burdens and become the village so many of us are missing.
You’ll also hear about:
✨ The power of letting yourself be supported
✨ Why doing more won’t make you feel “enough”
✨ How to start showing up for others in simple, meaningful ways
✨ A gentle self-care practice you can do today
Plus, I’m inviting you into deeper connection through upcoming events and sharing a special way you can support mental health through the “Enough” bracelet.

If you’re a mom building a business or leading in your life, it can feel like the world never stops demanding your attention.
Bad news. Fear-filled headlines. Social media overwhelm. Endless responsibilities.
But what if burnout isn’t coming from doing too much…
What if it’s coming from absorbing too much?
In today’s episode, we’re talking about how women can protect their peace, lead their families well, and build meaningful work without constantly living in stress mode.
I’m sharing three sustainable self-care tools that help you stay grounded, energized, and aligned — even in a world that thrives on chaos.
Because self-care isn’t selfish.
It’s how we protect the energy God gave us to live out our calling.
Inside this episode you'll learn:
• Why modern life keeps women in constant stress mode
• How to protect your mind and nervous system from overwhelm
• The power of an intentional “Input Diet”
• How to create daily anchors that stabilize your day
• Why choosing joy is actually an act of leadership
Scripture we reflect on:
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23
If you’ve been feeling stretched thin, this episode will help you come back to what truly matters.
Motherhood is beautiful, sacred… and sometimes incredibly overstimulating.
Between the constant needs, the noise, the mental load, and the emotional labor, many moms find themselves living in a constant state of stress without realizing it.
In this short, grounding episode, Jaime invites you to take a simple walk and learn how to calm your nervous system when you feel overwhelmed.
You’ll hear practical tools to regulate your body, reconnect with peace, and return to your family with steadiness — along with powerful scripture reminders that God calls us to a sound and peaceful mind.
Scriptures referenced include:
2 Timothy 1:7
Psalm 46:10
If you’ve been feeling overstimulated, stretched thin, or reactive, this episode will help you reset.
Take a breath.
Step outside.
And remember — calm is something we can return to.

Discipline, surrender, and grace are the missing rhythm for sustainable growth. You don’t have to hustle harder or control every outcome. What if growth happens when you release what you can’t control, take one disciplined step, and extend yourself grace when you stumble?
Scripture reminds us to trust God with all our heart (Proverbs 3:5–6), that we’ve been given a spirit of self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7), and that mercy is renewed every morning (Lamentations 3:22–23).
You are not behind. You are becoming.
In this episode, I’m sharing honestly about survival mode—the season so many of us live in where we’re just trying to get through, doing everything alone, holding it all together. While that energy might carry us for a time, it’s not the energy we’re meant to build from.
We talk about God’s design for community, the biblical foundation of the village mentality, and why learning, growing, and loving together isn’t just helpful—it’s essential. I also share why hosting this week’s Galentine’s event feels so aligned with this message: women supporting women, mom-owned brands collaborating, and proceeds going toward supporting single moms.
This is a reminder that independence isn’t the goal—connection is. And sometimes the strongest thing we can do is stop doing it all alone.
In a season where darkness feels louder and heavier, this episode is a reminder of who we are called to be. We’re diving into scripture to explore what it truly means to be the light—not when life is easy, but when it’s hard. If you’ve been feeling weary, discouraged, or unsure how to keep showing up with faith and love, this conversation will ground you, encourage you, and point you back to God.
In this episode, we talk about:
Scriptures referenced:
Reflection Questions:
✨ Remember: Darkness doesn’t win. Light doesn’t strive—it shines.
What if the discomfort you’ve been feeling isn’t something to fix — but a sign you’re waking up?
In this episode, we dive into the theme of Awakening — spiritually, emotionally, and physically. This conversation is for the woman who feels called to more but isn’t sure what that “more” looks like yet.
We talk about:
• Why feeling restless can be a holy invitation
• How self-care is stewardship, not selfishness
• The connection between faith, wellness, and consistency
• And how community plays a powerful role in awakening who you’re becoming
This episode also opens the door to the Women’s Collective — a space created for women who are ready to grow together, support one another, and stop doing life alone.
You’re not late.
You’re not broken.
You’re awakening.

The new year doesn’t require urgency: it requires alignment.
In today’s episode, I’m joined by Brooke Hemingway, founder of ALIGN Events and mother of six, for a deeply grounding conversation about starting the year with intention instead of pressure. She is one of the most inspirational mamas I know!
We explore how giving yourself space in January, slowing down, and choosing the right environments can completely change the trajectory of your year... personally, spiritually, and professionally.
This conversation is especially meaningful to me because ALIGN was one of the first rooms that helped shape my own journey. Attending this event years ago planted seeds that eventually transformed my confidence, my career, and my calling.
Now, I’m incredibly honored to return to ALIGN as a teacher, leading two fitness experiences at this year’s event.
In this episode, we talk about:
• Why rushing January can disconnect us from what really matters
• How to build strong foundations for the year ahead
• The power of community and intentional environments
• Faith, motherhood, leadership, and alignment
• Why ALIGN is more than an event — it’s a catalyst

As we step into a new year, the pressure to plan, hustle, and reinvent ourselves can feel overwhelming. In today’s episode of What’s the Word?, we begin differently—with a pause.
Drawing from Proverbs 16:9, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps,” this reflection invites you to release urgency and return to alignment—with God, your body, and the life you’re building.

Gratitude is not about ignoring the hard.

In this soul-nourishing episode of Prayer & Practice, we dive into what it really means to build a life of spiritual discipline — one step, one prayer, one breath at a time. Inspired by Romans 12:12 — “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer”, we’ll explore how to make prayer a daily rhythm instead of just a reaction to crisis.
You’ll hear honest reflections about the not-so-pretty parts of prayer, how to stay grounded when faith feels dry, and why discipline is actually a form of devotion. Plus, take a few quiet moments for walking meditation and breath prayer: “Make me faithful in the quiet, Lord.”
Whether you’re walking, journaling, or sipping your morning tea, this episode will help you reconnect with hope, patience, and presence in your everyday life.

Brooke is the mama of 6 kids who never had any idea she would be an entrepreneur. For 20 years she trained people at the local gym. 8 years ago, following the death of her father, she stepped away from her work as an ICU RN because she knew that wasn’t her calling. Life was too short to be doing what didn't fit anymore. Six months later she was introduced to network marketing, remained open, and flew to the top of the company, becoming a 7 figure earner in 2 years. An introvert with a small network, she decided to overcome her limitations, learn what she needed to learn, and develop new skills that would allow her to pay it forward to others. She motivates, leads, and nurtures potential in people and has gone on to create multiple 6 figure businesses, now expanding her reach far beyond network marketing. As a certified High Performance Coach and Leadership expert, she has created The Good Life Coaching Community & Mastermind, and has coached thousands of individuals. Gathering people is her heart's calling, so she created Align Events in 2019 and just this year launched her own podcast, Align The Good Life. Through her own journey and in coaching others, she has seen what it takes to make it and is the ultimate believer in the possibilities for you! If there were a mantra for her it would be "Keep fighting. Never give up. It's possible."

David Restiano is an artist and designer who sits at a desk all day. He is also a soccer player and a runner who trains constantly. At age 45, these things started to take a toll on his body. He was getting sore all the time. One afternoon, after returning home from his physical therapist visit, he hopped in the shower to clean the emollient off his legs and immediately envisioned a new way to treat our bodies that would also take the place of our traditional bar soap. He jumped out, dried off and started sketching designs. His goal was to change the way we think of soft tissue mobilization and our daily routine.
