So what's the verdict on assistive devices?
The pros of using an assistive device are that it can be helpful for people with disabilities and allow them to complete tasks that would otherwise be difficult or impossible. However, they may also be costly, and this technology isn't always embraced by all who receive it as some feel like their identity is being defined by others' expectations.
