In this episode, we have the pleasure of traveling through the furthest reaches of consciousness into the power of simple every day life moments. Lifelong teacher, and guide to all things spiritual, personal and professional, Kute Blackson, shares his passion, his visions for what matters most, and how we can all become more fully alive.
Kute Blackson is utterly unique in the world of human potential. Unlike those who promise to simply help people “get” what they want, Kute's life work instead reveals to people what they have to give, by liberating who they are most truly and deeply. The focus: Freedom
Kute's own background and experience lays out the blueprint for his approach to liberating others, setting their gifts and greatness free. Born in Ghana, West Africa, his multicultural upbringing as the child of a Japanese mother and Ghanaian father, raised in London, and on 4 different continents defies all stereotypes. He is a next-generation world leader out to awaken millions to Love and to Living their inspired destiny.
The son of a revered spiritual leader, Kute was speaking to his father’s congregations, in more than 300 churches, by the age of 8. At the age of 14, he was ordained into his father’s ministry and groomed to carry on the family’s spiritual legacy. But his hearts-truth drew him to separate from his father’s ministry and come to Los Angeles in 1995.
Kute courageously and daringly, came to America with two suitcases, and a dream seeking out many of the spiritual and self-help icons who inspired him while still a boy. Kute quickly learned to take an outside-in approach and make it an inside-out approach, and created his own approach, which is about liberating the individual in order to get in touch with who they are and give it. This is what he calls “Liberated Living.” According to Kute, once freed of the conditioned responses scripted by family, society, institutions and the media, people are no longer limited to pre-programmed interactions in the course of living. In fact, life becomes an expansive, jazzy improvisation, which is what he calls “Freefall.” His most recent book is, The Magic of Surrender.

This conversation was fascinating and fun and felt a bit like a wild ride exploring psyche and soul. Through diverse analogies from Chinese medicine to natural history and personal growth, traditional Chinese medicine expert Sabine Whilms joins me for a conversation with incredible complexity, depth, and playfulness. It moves fast and there is more involved than you might catch the first time. This is a great dialogue to challenge the mind and awaken the soul. Find Sabine Whilms, Ph.D here https://www.happygoatproductions.com/
Sabine has been studying classical Chinese writings on medicine ever since her Ph.D. education in Asian Studies and medical Anthropology. With a strong academic background in early Chinese philosophy, science, cosmology, and language and therefore in a historically and culturally sensitive approach to classical Chinese medicine, she now enjoys studying and teaching Chinese medicine as a living, effective, ever-changing, and much needed response to the issues of our modern times. Some of her favorite topics are gynecology and reproduction, pediatrics, medical ethics, and “nurturing life,” as envisioned by the great medieval “King of Medicinals” Sun Simiao. Sabine is happiest when engaging in a dialogue with practitioners and students of Chinese medicine on how to bring this ancient wisdom to life in our modern times. Besides teaching at the School of Classical Chinese Medicine at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, and producing books on Chinese medicine through her publishing company, Happy Goat Productions, she is busy raising a daughter and varying numbers of dogs, chickens, goats, fruits, and vegetables. Sabine Wilms, Ph.D., is the author and translator of more than a dozen books on Chinese medicine. Her publications include translations of Sun Simiao’s writings on pediatrics (Venerating the Root) and of the Divine Farmer’s Classic of Materia Medica (Shennong Bencao Jing); two books on Wang Fengyi’s system of “Five Element Virtue Healing” (Let the Radiant Yang Shine Forth and Twelve Characters); a translation and discussion of the Yellow Emperor’s Inner Classic (Huangdi Nei Jing Suwen) chapter five (Humming with Elephants); and of Qi Zhongfu’s Hundred Questions on Gynecology (Nüke Bai Wen, published as Channeling the Moon).
