The Miami Heat provided us with yet another defensive clinic in the 2022 NBA Playoffs, defeating the Atlanta Hawks 4-1 in the first round series to move on the Eastern Conference Semifinals for the second time in three years. Led by Jimmy Butler, the Heat proved why there were the first seed in the Eastern Conference, keeping Trae Young from getting hot throughout the series.

The Dallas Mavericks have found a way to lead the Utah Jazz 2-1 in their series despite being without Luka Doncic to this point. Jordan Poole has continued to take a leap this season, helping lead the Warriors to a commanding 3-0 series lead over reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. The Celtics have won two close games at home thanks to their defensive prowess, taking a 2-0 lead into Brooklyn as the series moves to the Barclays Center with Ben Simmons' return on the horizon.

Welcome to the Season Two Premiere of G.O.A.T. Talk with Marcus!
This season in the NBA has been filled with all kinds of twists, turns, surprises, and disappointments. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, and Nikola Jokic have been battling for the right to be called MVP, proving that big man basketball is back in the modern NBA. Despite averaging 30 points a game and continuing to defy the laws of time, LeBron James was unable to lead the Los Angeles Lakers back into the playoffs. The vaccine mandate in New York has been lifted, instantly raising the Nets' championship threat now that Kyrie Irving is a full-time player.
With all that being said, the six automatic playoff spots have been filled and the eight play-in teams have been confirmed. It goes without saying that this off-season has been the craziest NFL off-season of all time.
