Jesus said to His disciples in Mark 16:15-20 to "Go into All the World to both preach the Gospel and demonstrate God's love and power to others." The program host and others have gone into all the world, seeing salvations, wholeness, healing and more. God wants all believers to go and this Podcast has a three-fold purpose to encourage all listening to go: (1) Share real testimonies of how God used Gary and others as they went (2) Teach sound doctrine and the biblical basis of salvation to equip believers to go; and (3) Share instruction and principles Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/gary-griffenhagen/support
Scriptures Reviewed: Acts 4:19-31
Discipleship Points: Peter and John spoke to the rulers and then met with other brethren. Believers can learn from these discussions. A key point is that Peter and John spoke of what they had seen and heard. They saw Jesus, the miracles and more from His ministry. Believer's today can speak of what they have seen and heard from the Bible.

Scriptures Reviewed: Many from Acts 3 and 4, Romans 10:1-3 and Proverbs 19:2
Discipleship Points: As believers, we are to desire and gain knowledge but not via haste; zeal without knowledge is wrong so aim for a balance. RT reads Peter & John were not educated nor trained but he notes what they did: lame man healed, preached to townspeople and Jewish rulers, expounded on healing and the Gospel. Peter and John are examples! We, too, can be like them; let's seek God's wisdom, let's know our Bibles and let's pray to be bold.

Scriptures reviewed: Psalm 127:1-2 and portions of Acts 4 (verse 13, etc.)
Discipleship Points: Combating lies and legalism, including stay up late or get up early to read Bible; if you don't, maybe you will break fellowship with God, or your prayers will not get answered or, worse, you will lose your salvation. All are lies but can be used against us unless we know are identity.
RT has 5-6 degrees beyond college. However, he suggests young believers DO NOT go to Seminary. He recommends know your Bible well and to pray a lot.

Scriptures Reviewed: Col. 4:3-4; Matthew 13:18-23; Acts 18:24-28; Col. 4:5-6.
Discipleship Points: Paul wanted to clearly and accurately portray the Gospel; all believers should desire the same! When we/believers hear and understand the Word, then we can bear fruit. We need to study the Word to understand it. Aquila and Priscilla helped Apollos be a better teacher by helping him know the Word better; we can do that for others. Around unbelievers, we need to redeem the time, speak with grace, and have answers to their questions about the Bible and the Gospel.

Scriptures Reviewed: Col. 3:22 to 4:4
Discipleship Points: Work hard and care from our heart, reverencing & fearing God as we work; Masters/Bosses are to treat workers and servants justly & fairly, knowing they have a Master in heaven; Paul asked for prayer to preach the Gospel while in prison; let us all preach the Gospel like Paul did; when we pray, we are to be grateful for answers - and thank the Lord - and be vigilant when answers come as they make give us direction & wisdom.

Scriptures reviewed: Colossians 3:18-21, I Tim. 3:2
Discipleship Points: The Christian marriage model: husband is leader, husband loves wife, and wife submits as is fitting in the Lord. Children are to obey their parents, which pleases the Lord. Fathers must NOT provoke their children, lest they become discouraged. Two testimonies were shared, one from Dog the Bounty Hunter and one about the Manson family. The Bounty Hunter noted that every violent offender in jail had been beaten by their father. The fathers went beyond regular, healthy discipline.
Children are to obey their parents, which brings blessings. Fathers must NOT provoke their children, which can cause them to be discouraged.

Scriptures reviewed: I Cor. 11:31-34 (and portions of verses 27-30 from previous week)
Discipleship points: (1) The Holy Spirit does not cut off a believer, especially if a believer does not understand a scripture or principle. He works with believers. (2) Most believers do not know what many of the statements in verses 27-30 mean; the program addresses this point. (3) Multiple Bible verses say God heals us, delivers us from destructions, gives us strength and long life. Verse 30 says many are weak, sick, and die early; Verse 30 cannot refer to believers since they contradict dozens of other verses. (4) The conclusion is those who need to discern the Lord's body and refrain from Communion are unbelievers!

Scriptures reviewed: I Cor. 11:27-30
Discipleship Points: Various parts of these verses may cause concern to a believer, like unworthy manner, examine oneself, drinks judgement. The best understanding is these refer to an unsaved person taking communion. Believers are not made right with God by their performance. If we have a sin, we confess, He forgives and cleanses us from ALL unrighteousness (I John 1:9.) Our New Covenant/New Testament relationship shows the verses as well as others refer to unbelievers who are not possessors of salvation but only professors.
Testimony: Manny and Gary taped a program on a Wednesday about 1pm. At Bible study that night, Gary quoted verses from the program to a hurting believer.

Scriptures reviewed: I Cor. 11: 1-7 (summary) and 17-26.
Discipleship Points: Groups had taken the headgear teaching and made incorrect practices/doctrines. Factions/heresies may exist in churches, do lead the immature astray; Paul chastised the Corinthians for poor conduct re: Lord's Supper; Jesus gave His body and blood for us; HIs blood brought us near, cleanses us, redeems us, justified us and more. We want to avoid making the act of communion more important than remembering His death and sacrifice.

Scriptures reviewed: Colossians 3:5-17
Discipleship Points: Paul tells believers since we have put off the old man, be careful of our conduct. Put off anger wrath, malice and more. Also lie not to other believers and walk in the fruit of the Spirit, letting the peace of God and the Word of Christ dwell in us mightily. Do all in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to the Father through Him.

Scriptures reviewed: Col. 2:23 - 3:4
Discipleship Points: Rules and regs have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion and false humility but do not value in our fight against the flesh. If we are saved and raised with Him, focus/give 100% attention to/dwell on the things which are above. Our lives are hidden with Christ in God, so find, follow and grow in our new life and identity.

Scriptures: Col. 2:17-22, Mark 7:14-16
Discipleship Points: Do not be cheated by ascetism; Keeping rules can produce false humility; Hold fast to Christ/what He's done; We have died with Christ to basic principles - we do not subject ourselves to them again; Things that perish (food, drink, et al) do not defile us but what comes out of us may.

Scriptures: Colossians 2:16
Discipleship Points: Be confident in your identity/salvation in Christ/in Him; We are complete in Him; False teaching at Colossae inspired Paul's letter to Colossians; No one can judge us in food, drink, festivals, sabbaths, new moons, et al as these are but a shadow of the substance (Christ) to come.

The teaching on our identity as believers continues.
Scriptures Used: Col. 2:10-12
Discipling Points: Believers are no longer "just sinners" but saints; Confess known sins but trying to confess every possible one is impossible and usually produces bondage; believers are complete in Him, we need nothing else; our circumcision was not by human hands or rituals.
Testimony: A dismayed and down believer was lifted hearing the old man is dead and we are now freed from sin, the law, condemnation, & more (A. Wommack story)

This program continues the topic started last week, the identity of believers from the book of Colossians and verses 16-20 from II Cor. 5. Highlighted points include (1) we now know Christ not after the flesh; (2) believers are new creations, so we know not each other after the flesh; (3) God reconciled the world to Him through Christ and has given believers the message of reconciliation; (4) stay rooted and grounded in Christ and the Gospel, dispelling new and fancy sounding false doctrines.

Many Christians are not completely sure of their identity. They are in Christ but not sure what that means. Starting in Colossians 1, Manny and Gary share various verses that focus on points like these: Christians are called saints, not "just old sinners; believers have a hope stored in heaven; believers have been qualified...by God, not by their works, not by Christian performance, and not by any goodness.

The program looks at Joseph. Like other OT leaders, once he heard from God and/or knew His ways about a matter, he boldly spoke to others. He also acknowledged the main catalyst for his success, dream interpretations, were from God, not himself. Manny & Gary also look at Joseph's character and how he resisted bitterness, resentment, was grateful for and recognized God's blessings in his life and continued to deeply love family, even those who wronged him. These traits would serve all believers well! A word in the middle of the program was given to Manny then Gary.

The program continues the story of Joseph. Beginning in Genesis 39:19 with Joseph being falsely accused by Potiphar's wife, we follow Joseph's remarkable journey from the pit to the palace. Joseph knew God and His ways. This knowledge took him the king's prison to second in command in all of Egypt. Gary emphasizes the need to not just know the facts of a Bible story but to also glean insight and revelation from them so we, too, can know God's ways and be used to deliver ourselves and others!

Treasure from Fire #5 focuses on the story of Joseph from Genesis 37 to halfway through the 39. Two main points were gleaned from these verses. First, God sent Joseph to Egypt. Second, Joseph was successful because GOD WAS WITH HIM. Joseph was sold into slavery, betrayed by his master's wife and forgotten by one in Pharoh's court...yet he was successful and rose to #2 in all of Egypt!

Gary shares the backstory to the testimony about the four sisters. He shares a testimony where fire, a call to come to the principal's office, turned into treasure! The program ends with the story of Daniel from the book of Daniel chapters 4, 5, & 6 including Daniel 6:23, which reads "so Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury was found on him, because He BELIEVED in his God!"

He also quotes Luke 18:8 to inspire listeners to develop and use their faith.

Mike finishes his testimony. We look at the markers, places where the Lord began to intervene. A prayer here, a Bible received, a couple Christian friends and more. In part three, Mike and Julie headed for divorce. Mike relapsed again, but a huge marker came from the Lord; his brother sent him a Bible. In part four, the steps to Mike's new life begin, slowly but surely. He studied the Bible, he attended Celebrate Recovery (CR) meetings, good friend Nate came into his life and more. Issues still hung around as he lost his job and realized he could stop (drugs, et al) for a while but not stay stopped. As part four ends, Mike gives his life to the Lord. And, though he is not certain about the reality of some things, he is sure of his relationship with God!

In part two from last week, Mike mentions some good things came in his life, but they did not last. In part three, he has another relapse and he and Julie see the beginning of the end of their marriage. God sends a bigger marker to Mike; his brother felt directly led to give him a Bible. Mike had a panic attack, had more ups and downs, but one thing was clear. Mike had peace, God's peace, through the panic attack and more. He now knew God had to be part of his answer to escaping the addictions.

Mike Davies shared the first part of his testimony last week. He noted two obstacles he developed as a youth: feeling he was unworthy for God and overzealous self-reliance. In part two, Mike meets Julie, they marry, he starts his own business, moves his family across the country. These were some good times! But the good times do not last apart from one marker from God. Mike discusses the elephant in the room for those who drink, "the problem."

Mike Davies shares his testimony, from a young former LDS boy to a born-again believer. Mike thought for years that he was not worthy for God, a misconception from his religious upbringing. Due to that and other circumstances, he developed a self-reliance that was not healthy. This is the 8th program in the series "another gift from God to man." Manny and Gary discuss finances in general, two scriptures from previous programs, and then look in-depth at the stories of two widows, one with Elijah and with Elisha. The program starts with a testimony while Gary volunteered at a German Hofbrau celebration. Points from the previous program are noted. Luke 16:10-14 is studied along with the main points of he who is trustworthy with little can be trusted with much and no man can serve two masters. A story that shows the importance of rightly understanding and dividing the Word, especially in the realm of finances and provision, ends the program.

Financial stewardship is this program's focus. An important point from the Andrew Wommack's book of the same name is we experience freedom when turning our finances over to the Lord. Offerings beyond a tithe are considered in this episode; ministries and places where believers can give offerings are mentioned. Paul's familiar quote that he can be content with much or little is noted. Paul must have experienced abundance at times in his ministry/life.

A Spirit-led testimony begins the program; a young Christian girl was not forgotten by the Lord. Hearing the voice and leading of the Lord is important for believers and leads to good things. Success for believers is studied again as the Macedonian church, despite poverty, excelled in giving and epitomized that God is able to make all GRACE abound to churches and believers.

This is the 4th program on another gift from God to men. The series focuses on God wants "success" for His body. Success can also mean prosperity, but not like Mercedes and Mansions. This program looks at I Cor. 16:1-4 and II Cor. 9 in depth. Tithing is discussed and why it should be on the gross, not the net as some do. A powerful scriptural point is made from II Cor. 9:6 that one who sows sparingly reaps sparingly but one who sows bountifully reaps the same. If a NT standard is for believers to be poor, this scripture destroys that point...reaping bountifully is not poverty nor lack.
--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/gary-griffenhagen/support
A belief or foundation point for many churches is that Jesus and the New Testament say the standard for a NT believer is to be materially poor or just getting by. This series of programs refutes that point, not saying "name and claim it" or "blab and grab it" but showing how Jesus and other NT scriptures talk of giving, lending, looking for nothing in return, tithing, etc. NT believers that have nothing or very little would hard-pressed to give, to tithe regularly, let alone to lend. This is the 3rd of a 4-part series on this subject.

The last program brought up a "gift" from God to man, the gift of success. Manny and Gary studied our forefathers in the faith and then a number of OT verses What did these speak of? Today's program focuses on Jesus; did He advocate poverty and a "just get by" mentality? Or, were his comments more in line with those on last week's program that God was giving and has given the gift of success to men?
--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/gary-griffenhagen/support
God gave men gits, Jesus was the main one. Another one is very important and often not accessed or received. The gift is success, a better term than prosperity. This program looks at the forefathers of the Christian faith and at many OT scriptures. We see many of our forefathers were very wealthy. And, the scriptures cited, mainly from Psalms and Proverbs, speak of prosperity and success. Why would these examples and scriptures speak of something that many NT believers feel is sin, i.e. being successful and prosperous?

Manny and Gary review the believer's armor from Ephesians 6, with prayer as part of the armor. After a short review from last week's program, Gary and Manny look at II Cor. 4:13-16. Highlights include the title verse, believers speak and proclaim the truth because it is written. Gary notes points from verses 1-4. These include not losing heart, handling the Word of God truthfully, rejecting those who use the Word deceitfully, preaching the true Gospel, one based on Christ alone. Verses 7-12 start with the truth that the treasure is Christ, which we have in our earthen vessel, our body! The next verses list some of the difficulties we face. Paul's letter of commendation was the changed hearts of the Corinthian believers; we, too, can be introduced by the changed lives in our walk with the Lord. Verses from I Cor. 10-31 are reviewed. The need to focus on our oneness in Christ and the Gospel are emphasized. Verses 1-5 show Paul was not an eloquent speaker but fully relied on the message of the Gospel and Christ crucified. He, too, like many of us, did experience weakness, fear and trembling but he persevered as we can to share the Good News. These verses contain many insights for those wishing to evangelize including we are one body so minimize/ignore differences, we are to preach the Gospel, the power of God, not our denominational or such views, Christ is the head and focus not a pastor or teacher, a style of baptism, etc. The ending verses powerfully show that God has chosen what could be considered foolishness and is not the wisdom of the world to win souls and show Himself. Finally, the verses illustrate God uses those He calls, and we are not perfect, not the wisest not and, in the world's eyes, not the best but He chooses and uses us!

There is a lengthy comment on verse 16, showing the covenant forefathers of Israel and how this foundation will one day lead to the Jews returning to God through Jesus. This program continues talking on Christian doctrine. Two LDS claims that indicate they are the true church, being led by a President/Prophet and having the Aaronic and Melchizedec priesthood, are compared to biblical scriptures on how God speaks to the church today and who has or does not have the priesthood. The program then looks at a churchwide event in Samaria and an individual call for Philip.

Jeff Wirth started out his walk with God pretty much on his own. He did not connect with other believers; partly due to this, he lived a pretty fleshly walk. In this state he prayed that he could be a sold-out follower, like the first disciples. God answered Jeff's prayer and Jeff grew. This interview covers his life from a fleshly walk to a sold-out status...and how God used him as grew closer!

The program starts out with the scripture "Lord who has believed our report?" Gary and Manny share some stories about those who initially reject the Gospel. Then, they discuss the scripture "faith comes hearing and hearing by the Word of God." The importance of knowing and staying in the Word is reviewed along with the tie-in to hearing God's voice. The final portion reviews scriptures that indicate the Gospel and the knowledge of God have gone around the whole world, to the hearing of every person.

In Romans 10:11-15 Paul shows that whosoever seeks Him and calls to Him will be saved. This negates thoughts that only certain ones will know Him. Verses 14-15 talk about the need for others to hear and how they can only hear if preachers, teachers and others are sent and go. Manny talks of his being saved at a music festival and Gary shares how he led three women to Christ, who had an unexpected family death and were desiring assurance.

Gary and co-host Manny cover verses 5-10 in Romans 10. Verse 5 talks of how those who believe in righteousness by the Law shall live by it, an exceptionally difficult place to be as the Bible says none of us can keep the law perfectly. The position is contrasted with grace, whereby Christians are saved and by grace and faith inherit the promises. Verses 6 and 7 present the impossible task for those who choose to not live by faith; the task is either ascending to heaven to bring Jesus down or going to Hell, to bring Him again from the dead. The program closes with verses that proclaim the title, i.e. that the Word is near all of us, even in our hearts and we receive or walk in that Word through belief and confession based upon it.

Gary along with Manny conclude Romans 9 noting the fact that although Israel followed after the law of righteousness, the nation did not achieve it as they stumbled at the stumbling stone, Jesus. Verse 33 concludes the chapter saying whoever believes in Him, Jesus, will not be ashamed. Chapter 10 begins with Paul's desire for Israel to be saved; he sees them zealous for God but without knowledge. He shows in verse 3 that Israel tries to establish its own righteousness, a problem in the modern Christian church today brought upon by legalism. Verse 4 shows how Christ is the end of the law for righteousness, meaning legalism is dead in the water once these scriptures are understood.

The second is an amazing testimony with many side stories, including a death threat; two inmates recognizing a fellow inmate has something different and seems real, which they both want; a common thread between these two inmates that could turn volatile; and the spectacular healing of an uncle hundreds of miles away. The third illustrates how God can change a man far, far away from Him. Ken ends with a plea for all believers to share their faith.

This program focuses on Romans 8:9-14. The apostle Paul makes it very clear that only those who have the Spirit of God are truly saved, born-again. Those without the Spirit, no matter how passionate in their life for God and godly ways, are not saved and are none of His. Those with the Spirit have great power to both walk in the Spirit and to mortify the deeds of the flesh. Gary focuses on two parts of scripture, Romans 8:5-8 and Col. 3:1-17. This section of Romans talks of the difficulties and impossibilities of being in the flesh and being carnally minded. Those in the flesh cannot please God and carnally minded people, whether saved or not, are at enmity with God, His ways and the result is death, whether physical or just being deprived of a whole life. Being spiritually minded leads to life and peace, and allows us to see God, see Him move and begin to follow His ways. This episode concludes Romans 7. The last verses of Chapter 7 reiterate the point that, for a believer, once s/he is born again, the old nature is dead and gone while her/his spirit is new, which equals a new nature. The Bible encourages us to renew our mind, to put on Christ and be transformed as we are renewed. Though some groups hold to the idea that believers still have their old nature or something like it, this idea is not supported by multiple scriptures. Paul's life shows he went from Saul, breathing threats and persecuting the church, to Paul, the apostle and one who says he has wronged no man. The program concludes with a look at the new identity of believers and why it is so important to receive and believe this truth.

A good friend and brother in the Lord, Manny Rodriguez, operates a school of worship. In this Podcast, he and I share scriptures and thoughts about worship. The Podcast is geared toward beginners but will benefit any believer and listener. Psalm 100 includes many of the reasons why worship (and praise) are important to the Christian church. The Bible says that worship also drives away the evil one, who cannot stand the praise given to God. Most Christian churches begin with praise and worship, probably to drive out any evil presence and invite God's presence. As believers learn corporate worship (at church and studies), believers can then practice worshiping and praising God on his/her own.

In Romans 7:13-17 Paul explains the issues of the goodness of the law, the state of believers free from the old nature and the ever-present battle resisting any influence from the old nature and old habits. The law is good in that it shows believers their sinful condition. The law can never save, can never be used to coerce believers into some standard of less sin/no sin/et al. Being now free, believers must guard against influence of their past habits and practices. The BEST answer is to renew our minds to who we now are, Romans 12:1-2.

Many Christians do not understand the purpose of the Law. The Law was our tutor to bring us to Christ. Galatians 3:25 says but after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. Believers are free from the Law. Any reference to, or use of, the Law to believers must be done carefully and with a focus on information and doctrinal understanding. From all reports, many US churches are preaching/teaching and/or using the Law as something more than a tutor.

Gary explains that we were in the flesh, but we who are born again are not now in the flesh. We may walk after the flesh sometimes, being carnal or even sinful, but we do not live there (do not need to live there.) We are also dead to the Law; the Law is good but its purpose is to show us a need for a Savior, not a set of standards that govern our lives. Some well-meaning pastors/teachers try to force or focus on the performance of believers pert he law and even God's punishments for breaking the law, but, again, that is not the Law's purpose. God desires that we live and serve Him by the Spirit through faith, not by adhering to a set of do's and don'ts only.

Paul concludes chapter 6 with many powerful truths. Before believers were saved, they were free from righteousness. They were not able to produce works or fruit worthy of repentance, i.e. save ourselves (verse 20.) Verse 22 shows the corollary. Believers are now free from sin, are servants of God, have fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. As the end of believers is everlasting life, their actions or lack thereof cannot "unsave" them. Verse 23 mentions the wages of sin are death; the soul that sins shall die. Wages are a just payment; however, the gift of God, no payment on the part of the receiver, is eternal life.

The Apostle Paul uses these verses to show the old nature is gone and because of that the hold sin had on us is gone, too. We also see in these verses that God gives commands (let not, yield not, reckon yourself) that we MUST be able to accomplish (or the scriptures would be untrue, a lie.) Paul continues in Romans 6:5-11 describing our new position. We were alive to sin; now we are dead. Sin had us in bondage; now the hold of sin has been broken. If we are dead with Christ, we believe we shall live with Him. We know He died once; we, too, have died once. We do not die over and over; our old nature is dead once and for all. Gary shares three stories. Each started as an everyday, non-spiritual activity. The first was a burger for lunch; the second was retrieving a left behind golf club; the third was shopping for tennis shoes. However, as Gary was sensitive to the Holy Spirit, doors opened to share Christ and pray for a young Latina and help a rap artist trying to show youth from barrio areas a better life. In the third story, after some small talk, Gary shared stories with a LDS believer, and this LDS young man was touched to the point of tearing up by what God did.

Today's podcast includes a lookback at some of the truths from Romans 1. Gary covers Romans 1 as an example of reading and studying the Epistles. The truths gleaned from Romans 1 include that God turned those who did not want Him over to their own lusts and many of the ungodly attitudes we see in society today were outlined in verses 29-32. Gary covers verses 12-14 in Romans 5 which contain many powerful truths.

Gary shares more insights into reading the Epistles. He notes the Epistles are narrative compositions that reflect deeply on the significance of Christ's death and resurrection. The circumstances behind the Epistles are also very important, explaining for what purpose one was written. Gary covers verses in Jude and notes a way to have success when confronted by scoffers is to openly demonstrate God's love and power, a proactive response to negativity and doubt. He concludes with a story about how a free burger led to a spiritual highpoint.

Gary shares how he witnessed to an LDS follower, showing LDS doctrines focusing on works are contrary to and rebuked by teachings found in Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, etc. While reading the epistles to clarify grace, faith and works, Gary noted how clearly the chapters in Galatians support salvation by grace through faith and reject works insofar as salvation. In this program, Gary shares facts and insights about the epistles and reading them. One prominent conclusion he makes is the importance of reading the epistles in context, versus picking verses here and there.

Gary lays out four lessons from Matt M's story of last week. (1) When difficulties come, pour out our heart to God first; (2) Own what has happened in your life; (3) Include God always so the Word moves from our head to heart; (4) God is with us. Verses from Acts 18 show Paul shared his faith & taught regularly, compelled by the Spirit. And Gary shares the story of millions saved over 170 years, beginning with one reluctant Sunday School student.

The program begins with I Thes. 5:9, "God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ." This ties into last week's message on the joy of salvation and escaping God's wrath. Gary next explains a principle he learned years ago, to give praise in all things, from the book Prison to Praise. Isa. 61 says God gives a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. I Thes 5:18 says give thanks in all things. Gary weaves these together and shows how praise and thanks can set us free from despair and heaviness. He then shares how the Holy Spirit said to him to give thanks and how the Spirit worked a seemingly bad thing for good.

The program starts with Rom.5:9-10. We continue to see God's great plan working in our lives. Through love, He not only saved us, He now delivers us and keeps us through Christ, saved from His wrath and saved unto eternal life. Gary gives various scriptures to support these which provide believers Great Security in Christ. Gary mentions how important it is to know our identity and our security. These truths are vital to ward off the attacks of the evil one, who wants to bother and bind us so we will not walk in love, joy and peace and we will not Go into All the World. I Cor. 1:30 sums up what we have as believers.

Today's program includes Rom. 5:7-8 and part of 9. Verse 7 shares it is rare that a person would lay down his/her life for a good man or woman, yet Christ died for us while we were yet sinners. This illustrates God' tremendous love for us even before we were saved, mentioned in verse 8. Gary shares the salvation story of the former daredevil Evil Knievel. Evil came to the Lord later in life and expressed disappointment he did not find the lord earlier. Gary uses this to encourage us to share with others, especially those younger. Other points include since we are saved by faith, we are now to walk by faith and to stay free from rules that bind us, even "good" rules. Finally, Gary begins looking at Romans 5:9 and though God loved us before we were saved, He loves us and is helping us in our new life even more now that we know Him.

Gary covers Romans 5:4-6. These verses show how tribulation works patience, patience works experience and experience produces hope. The hope mentioned here goes beyond the normal hope believers have of heaven and eternal life to hope in the tribulations and trials of our present life. Gary also shows how whether in evangelism or the normal course of life's ups and downs believers may have to back off, pray, re-group and let the Lord fight our battles. He will fight our battles and we will have greater depth and hope in the Christian lie.

Gary begins the program with the question What can you listening do to go into All the World? He covers the first three verses in Romans 5, with a focus on Peace, Hope and Standing in Faith. He notes that as we received Him (in faith) let us walk with Him from Col. 2:6-7. He mentions that though we may still sin we have been set free from the power of sin; renewing our mind will cause less and less missteps in our walk. He talks of fellowshipping with first-time filmmaker Tracy Robinson, whose movie "The Matter of Life," will be released May 16-17. Tracy's love for Jesus and the joy and peace she exuded stood out. He ends with a funny story how he would listen to praise and worship music on long drives to meetings and others would ask "what drug/s are you taking" due to his noticeable joy and peace.

The Bible says we are new creatures when born again. Our spirit is completely new; it was once dead and now is alive unto God. God wants us to live from our spirit. Romans 8:5b says "those who live according to the Spirit, set their minds on the things of the Spirit." We want to be sensitive to His leading. and what the Spirit is doing and saying. Gary shares two stories and resumes teaching from Rom. 5.

The Good News Jail & Prison Ministry is an International Christian Prison Ministry that operates in many countries. Good News provides Chaplains to minister to behind bars and assist jail staff. The Chaplains also oversee volunteers who teach weekly Bible studies. This was taped a couple of years ago and through it, Gary wants to encourage believers to consider para-church ministries as a way to Go into All the World.

God wants to work signs and wonders, sometimes through His children and sometimes on His own. In today's program, Gary talks of how an angel intervened on a tennis court to correct a serve and how a class to present Jesus to visiting Japanese students went wildly wrong yet a great result came through the healing of a sore throat. Gary also starts reviewing Romans 5.

This program takes a deeper look at the miraculous with some how's and why's. Gary asks the question if there are needs in today's world that need a sign or wonder. He notes that Jesus included signs and wonders along with teaching and preaching as He encouraged His followers to go and that ministry to others demonstrates God's love, power and kindness to both the unsaved and saved.

Today's Podcast focuses on Luke 1 and the miraculous contained within the Christmas Story. Believers as well as many non-believers embrace the Story of Jesus's birth. However, of these many are skeptical, or deny, miracles and the miraculous. May today's teaching give all of us pause to think as we hear of
(1) a discussion between a teenage girl and an angel;
(2) the teen is soon impregnated but not by a man;
(3) a priest who talks with an angel but suddenly is mute;
(4) this same priest, who after writing his son's name can talk;
(5) a magnificent prophesy given by this priest about Jesus and his own son.
In Luke 2, we hear of an angel talking to shepherds, who later follow the angel's advice. And, thousands of angels are in a nearby field, praising God and speaking, too, of a new relationship between God and man.

This program centers on the Christmas Story and more. Gary starts by reading the Story from Luke 2 and adds comments as he reads. A main point of encouragement is letting the joy of the Lord well up inside us and the glory of the Lord to shine through us so we can project this joy and glory as we talk with others about Jesus. Other side comments are Mary and Joseph's awe at what God has done, just as we often awe at what He does; Simeon's time of waiting and his prophetic word about Jesus to Mary; and then a look at the miraculous demonstrated in Luke 1 as a lead to Luke 2 and the Story.
May this be a time of meditating on the Story, on the glory and joy in our hearts and on a recognition of the miraculous that illustrates the power and wonder of God Almighty.

The Lord brought a brother who helped set-up a PODCAST, also called "Go into All the World" this week. A great blessing and this is the Praise. The story centers on a sister who saw a man returning groceries at checkout. She stepped in and paid for them. The clerk and the young man were greatly surprised. The portion on wisdom centers on recognizing how God is always with us and how He always beckons us to come boldly to Him. I used to shy away sometimes, focusing more on fear, or shame or maybe a worry that I had done enough. I also quoted TD Jakes who mentions that there are times when we go through the wilderness so God can refine us; the wilderness may be the only way to learn precious truths. The last part of the PODCAST starts with Romans 4:20 and finishes at 4:25, the end of Chapter Four.

This program begins with two of Gary’s stories. One centered on Gary’s mini-crisis of faith and how the Holy Spirit gave him a boost. The second focused on Gary and a brother hurrying to a Christian political meeting, knowing they only had minutes to spare, and how the Holy Spirit used the Good Samaritan story to help a young girl with a baby to both start her car and start a new life in Christ.
Gary briefly mentioned BLAST, an acronym he heard from Greg Laurie of Harvest. BLAST is a way to share with others; the letters mean Be a friend, Listen attentively, Ask questions, Share your testimony and Tell Truth. This is generally how Gary shares with others. The final portion of the program introduces the First Great Awakening and how three leaders of the Awakening, George Whitefield, John and Charles Wesley, all realized they needed to be born again and an assurance of faith and how their new lives led to open-air preaching to thousands.

A media minister mentioned that ALL believers need to cling to Jesus. The feeling is that not all believers are today. Gary gives some scriptural reasons to support the idea of clinging, including Luke 9:23, John 15:4-5, 8 and more. Jesus commands us to take up our cross daily and to abide in Him, so we can bear much fruit. Gary mentions that abiding, taking up our cross and clinging cannot be done on a hit or miss basis, cannot be done once or twice a week, and must be 24/7.
