He also informed them that the mark of Z was not what it was made out to be by the leadership or nobility of Neverwinter and in fact it was a cover for a much more sinister truth that had befallen Neverwinter, the Lord Protector was under the control of this beholder, and was being puppeted to allow the criminal organization to flourish while also overtaxing the people to fund its expansion across the sword coast and further inland across Faerun. Recap

The legends awoke from a restful night in the mystical fey wild, they sought to return to their home plane and we able to do so With the help of a friendly and slightly hungry Satyr, who then lead them to a possible path toward their home plane, with the caveat that they would first have to gain access to the inside of an ornery tree creature. Following a brief battle where zero was nearly zeroed and a dizzying blur of slashes from the hastened Cordy, the group was able to split the tree open and traveled through the massive body back to The Forgotten Realms Material Plane. Upon emerging from this trip, Abe and Cordelia fell victim to the playful and mischievous nature of the Feywild magic, losing all memory of their time on the other side. The group was also greeted by a group of shadowy individuals who seemed very interested in the legends sudden emergence from the fallen tree. Their leader, Sol, was excited to see Reaper and inquisitive about his chosen group of friends and traveling companions. After delivering a series of stinging insults to Zero touching on the subject of her abandonment of duty, Sol then saw fit to check in on Reaper’s progress as a budding member of the Death Guard. Reaper did not disappoint his superior and proved that he had grown to a respectable level. After an evening of getting to know the group and understanding their purpose here, Sol offered them shelter in the hidden camp of the death guard. Before heading to rest for the night, Abe shared that Reaper had lost his Drake in battle, to which Sol replied by showing Reaper how to renew his connection to wolf.
