Being Christian doesn't mean that life altering circumstances have to leave you feeling so broken. What do you do when you're blindsided by hardships you never thought a Christin should experience,? We all have times like this. This is a heart felt testimony that changes the way we respond to unexpected changes in life. If you feel like you've reached a point of no return, God has a message of hope and restoration for you. A challenge we faced was accepting the diagnosis of a severe case of autism with our 3rd child Judah. We didn't know the emotions that would come to the surface in this unimaginable circumstance, but God knew. He provided words of hope and life that changed everything for us and helped us see God's love and true nature in way that we wouldn't have understood. If you know someone who has struggles with adjusting to a life a with a child with strengths and struggles, this message is for them.

I'm gonna take you on a journey to one of the more frustrating stories that happens in the Bible. It's one of those stories that people could use against the God of the Bible, but it's also a story that leaves many of us Christians upset and with more questions than answers.
1 Chron 13:9-12 When they came to the threshing floor of Kidon, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark, because the oxen stumbled. The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah, and he struck him downbecause he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God. Then David was angry because the Lord’s wrath had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah. David was afraid of God that day and asked, “How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?”
How many times have you had a thought or reaction like this towards God? When something happens that just isn't right, especially for someone who worships God. What about when hardships you're not expecting happen in the sight of all the people you've told about how great your God is?

King Solomon was known as the wisest king that ever lived, and that's not because of any wisdom that he just had. It was because of a wisdom that God had given him. When he learned that he was going to rule the nation of God's, He became so overwhelmed because what God had called him to do was bigger than himself. Out of all the things he could have asked God for, you know what he asked for? We know the word is wisdom, but that word wisdom, he actually says a discerning heart.

Christian's have the best intentions in trying to change peoples live, but many of today's generation won't even entertain the Gospel because of the reputation that Christianity has developed. How does Jesus feel about this? When Jesus interacted with the Pharisees through a parable of new wineskins, he revealed a love for the unsaved that many people don't show. What is the approach we should take? The answer is found in the approach Jesus took with the Pharisees.
How does perception affect your decisions? Do you know that our behavior can be based on our perception of what reality is not reality itself. A positive perception adds to a constructive frame of mind, but a negative perception can be very destructive to your wellbeing. This life lesson will help you understand how misperceptions may be influencing your life in more ways than you can imagine.
The mind is the battlefield where the greatest victories are won, but it's also the battlefield where we can experience the greatest defeats. Who you are is the result of what you've believed about yourself. If we can be deceived in our thinking we can self-sabotage the purposes that God has for our lives. Take captive the lies and walk in the truth of who you are.

King David also experienced some moments of utter despair. His emotional despair is revealed in his timeless words. He found peace that we can each find.
