We…are…BACK! So…..we know we’ve been MIA for a bit but we took most of 2021 off to get our lives in order. We’ve missed you guys and hope you’ve missed us too as the podcast has been like therapy for us and it’s time to get our butts back on that couch, so please join us for more laughs, reflections and stimulating debates (aka gist sessions). In today’s episode, we begin with our What I’m segment where we share the TV shows, books and music we’ve loved while we were away (BTW, the other Black British actress Shade was referring to was Naomie Harris, Mahershala Ali’s co star in Swan Song). In our main topic, we discuss the unraveling of the relationships between Meagan Good and Devon Franklin and the Ooni and Olori of Ife. Join us as we reflect on the pressures of social media, the impact of external gaze and the role that the commercialization of relationships may have played in their demise.

What a time of collective and individual grief for the world. It seems not a day goes by without news of the death of a friend of a friend, a job loss of a family member or closing of a business we’ve cherished. Each piece of news is another blow and we mourn with those who have loss in the many ways there is to lose during this time. In spite of all the pain, it is still ok to hope and dream. Some might say the perfect antidote to grief is to muster up the strength to dream. In this episode , Shade and Rolake talk about the importance of setting goals for 2021 and share their own personal reflections on 2020 and how that has shaped their vision board for 2021. Its time to dream again so join us as we talk about our big plans for 2021!

We've missed you! It's been an exhausting past month and a half with all that's been going on in Nigeria and across the world so we took a mental health break to digest and recalibrate but we're back and as crazy and as candid as ever! In this episode, Shade and Rolake revisit the defining show for the 2000s’ single girl, Sex and The City.
