This episode, Matt, Devin, and Clayton dive into all things Gamecocks over the last week or so, from the Duke's Mayo Bowl announcement vs UNC, to the two huge wins in Men's Basketball, and the big news and speculation surrounding early signing day on Wednesday. Midway through recruiting talk the episode broke down as former Heisman candidate and elite QB prospect Spencer Rattler and teammate Austin Stogner committed to transferring to South Carolina. Following that, we speculated wildly about the future of the SC offense and what's still to come in regards to recruiting!

This week, Matt and Clayton dive deep into the results of the NFL draft, looking at all four Gamecocks drafted as well as the UDFA signings. Following the Gamecock selections, we chat about our opinions on our personal NFL teams as well as who had the best/worst draft picks in the first round. In the second segment, we discuss the horrific weekend in baseball, as the Gamecocks were swept by Ole Miss is disturbing fashion. Lastly, we talk about a few huge commitments for the football team and what it means moving forward for Shane Beamer and Co.
A surprisingly big week in sports for us, as some of us attended one of the baseball games vs #1 Arkansas, and the spring football game. Along with covering those Gamecock related events, we quickly run through our draft pick predictions for our individual teams in the first round of the NFL draft this coming Thursday.

With a smaller group of 4, we were able to get through a lot of our thoughts on everything from watching a heartbreaking March Madness Tournament loss to the officials, and celebrating some of the good things on a series win vs Georgia in baseball. Closing things off again where we started, we get into the recruiting updates for basketball, transfers from the team, and what the future of the program moving forward into 2021.
As with most things in Carolina sports, each week brings an entirely new feeling. Going from losing a couple of games straight in baseball, to winning 6 straight and sweeping Florida, and witnessing the women's basketball team return to the final 4, we are riding this high for as long as we can. To help discuss that rising feeling, and the trajectory of our baseball team, and other Carolina sports, we bring on Thebigspur's John Whittle to help bring his knowledge and inside scoop on where things might end up.
We start off talking about what animal we would fight for a guaranteed win vs Clemson, a good discussion that if true would end up with most members losing. Then we go into Gamecock Baseball going 1-3 on the weekend and getting no hit, the NCAA tournament, and how the NCAA is the flop of the week (again).
With a slightly smaller crew this week, we're able to get down into the details of the series sweep loss to Texas in baseball last weekend, as the team falls from grace and why that isn't a huge deal. We also have more time to get into hypotheticals, like how many days you'd stay in prison for a South Carolina national championship. We breakdown some of the recruits we're most excited about, and our thoughts on Montario Hardesty. A lot of positivity from the group in terms of the way the coaching and team as a whole has moved forward, which mirrors our worried thoughts on the future of the basketball season. Big flop of the week covers the scandal involving Tennessee’s now fired coach, Jeremy Pruitt.

Kicking off the new year of podcast content, half of the group made it to talk about the coaching carousel that's surrounded Gamecock football as well as other college teams, another disappointing college football title game, and some information on Austyn’s new group he’s been attached to.
For the first time since startint the podcast at the beginning of 2020, the group had the ability to record together. It was decided that we should "spice up" our final episode of the year with something different. 6 wings, 6 hot sauces, 6 even hotter sports questions. Will everyone prevail? Will we make a collective fool of ourselves? Absolutely.
A marquee week for us with our 50th weekly podcast since starting. continuing the conversation on Shane Beamer, an important signing day for the college football, and whether or not South Carolina can raise their recruit rankings nationally, and who may fill out the rest of the coaching staff for South Carolina in 2021. After discussing a new coaching hire in Vanderbilt, and a new coaching fire in Auburn, we move on to what might be the strangest game between Florida and LSU we have ever seen.

We discuss what that means for our future, our opinions of Beamer and the hire, as well as how the team played vs Kentucky, and how that kind of play may be improved next year under a new regime. We figured we’d bring in one of the most respected names in the industry for Gamecock news, in The Big Spur’s JC Shurburtt to discuss all things with the current situation at South Carolina. With our emergency episode released Tuesday, we don’t discuss the Muschamp firing too much, as we move straight into Ole Miss game recap, what to look forward to against Mizzou, and our other usual topics.
Here’s a short episode we produced this week alongside our normal scheduled releases. With South Carolina terminating their coaching deal with Will Muschamp, some of our team got together a short 24 hours after the news hit to discuss what changes were to come, the state of the team now, the obnoxious hive mind that is South Carolina twitter, and looking forward to the what hire comes in to the position.
