Rekindled Teachers is a field guide to shaking off the BS and kicking ass one teacher story at a time by igniting a community, celebrating teacher stories, and understanding teacher agency. If you are burned out, fed up, frustrated, cry yourself to sleep, have way too many bottles of wine on a school night, or you’re going absolutely stir crazy in this time of social distancing then this is the place for you. We are building a community and together we can embody empowerment, support each other, fight for our students and our profession, and rekindle our passion for teaching.
This episode features a conversation between myself and Ashton Gildae as we discuss his experiences as a new teacher.

In this first episode we are talking about students, which is what teachers identified as the best thing about teaching. I also discuss the definition of agency and the foundation of power dynamics. My guest for this episode is Maryann Green, who is a high school theatre teacher. Part of our conversation involves reconnecting with our students during this time of social distancing and distance learning.
