It's tournament time and Matt Goul from cleveland.com joined Eric and Tim to discuss the high school basketball season and preview the Northeast Ohio district brackets.
The trio discusses the process to select the Regional AP teams, the difference in district assignments by region across the state and preview boys Northeast Ohio basketball districts.
Eric and Tim recap last Friday's loss at St. Ignatius and discuss the outlook of the St. Ed's team heading into the final 4 games of the regular season. They get into an interesting discussion about approach and attitude a coach, particularly young coaches, can take to their teams. Then they answer a listener question about the proper ways to criticize players and avoiding too much negativity. Finally, Eric makes a futile effort trying to explain that momentum is an actual that exists on the heels of the big Duke comeback over Louisville.

Coach Flan and Tim are back and discuss an odd situation from Saturday's game against Central Catholic where a player was incorrectly ejected. They also discuss this Friday's rematch with rival St. Ignatius and some things Coach Flannery does to add some fun to practices at this time of the season.
After a couple weeks away, Eric and Tim are back in the coaches' office. This shows topics include discussing the game this Saturday with Spire Academy, giving a midseason update on the team and the use of analytics in high school basketball. Eric and Tim discuss how St. Ed's uses analytics and give some examples of application through the course of the season. Coach talked about some of the key plays in the game, preparation that went into the gameplan and how the Doritos tradition survived into the Hall of Fame stadium in Canton. The 1998 St. Edward Basketball team is being inducted into the school's athletic Hall of Fame this week. Coach Flannery was the head coach and Tim was a player on that team. They share some memories of that season and that team and also talk about the dynamics that made that team a champion.
