Through conversations with pretty cool Muslims, people of Dua, of Ihsan, people who found a way to walk their dreams with Islamic excellence...we take you on a path of discovery. This is the podcast where you.discover.you.
What helps a believer stay steady when life takes an unexpected turn?
In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) shares how shukr strengthens your mind and heart during hardship. Through lessons from Hajj, the Prophetic response of Alhamdulillah ‘ala kulli haal, and a simple gratitude exercise, he shows how focusing on Allah’s blessings can change your experience of a difficult season.
You’ll learn why every affair of the believer carries khayr, how gratitude supports patience, and how saying Alhamdulillah from the heart builds the spiritual strength to face whatever comes.
At 12 years old, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) lived in a boarding school where stories of jinn spread through the hallways, especially around his room. One frightening night gave him a realization that changed how he understood fear: anything he feared held far less power than Allah.
In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad (rA) shares how saying “Allahu Akbar” can bring the heart back to the One who controls every element, from the sea that parted for Musa (AS) to the fire made cool for Ibrahim (AS).
He also offers three daily practices for moments of uncertainty: istighfar, shukr, and takbir.
A timely reminder to measure every fear against the greatness of Allah and place your trust where true power lies.
Feeling like you have too much on your mind?
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) explains why your brain was never meant to store everything you're trying to carry.
In this practical session, he shares three simple journaling techniques that help reduce mental clutter, calm anxiety, and bring your attention back to what matters most.
Inside this episode, you'll learn:
If you've been carrying too much in your head, this episode offers practical tools to help you think more clearly and move through life with greater peace and intention.
When the Prophet ﷺ returned home after receiving the first revelation, fear filled his heart. Khadijah (ra) responded with words that changed everything: "Rejoice and have glad tidings."
In this powerful reminder, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) explores the forgotten role of mentorship through the example of Khadijah (ra). Drawing lessons from the Seerah, he explains why every believer needs someone who can strengthen their faith, remind them of their purpose, and help them move forward when their plans fall apart.
You'll learn:
A timeless reminder that growth is rarely a solo journey.
May Allah have mercy on Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) and accept this knowledge as an ongoing source of reward. Ameen.
A heated debate in Madinah turned into a lesson Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) never forgot.
In this episode, he shares the story of an Egyptian uncle who challenged his certainty and taught him a habit that shaped the rest of his life: saying "Wallahu A'lam" (Allah knows best).
Drawing from his years at Madinah University, Shaykh (rA) explores why confident opinions can become dangerous, how humility protects us from error, and why the most knowledgeable people are often the quickest to admit what they do not know.
As misinformation spreads faster than ever, this reminder is a timely call to guard our tongues, respect the limits of our knowledge, and return certainty to the One who knows all things.
A powerful reflection on intellectual humility, seeking knowledge, and the forgotten etiquette of saying: "Allah knows best."
What happens when the thing you miss most is the freedom to explore, travel, and experience the world beyond your doorstep?
In this reflective episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) explores the deeper wisdom behind Allah's invitation to "travel through the land" and how travel expands perspective, strengthens faith, and reshapes the way we see ourselves and others. Drawing from personal experiences, stories from Islamic tradition, and practical ideas for times when travel isn't possible, he shares how curiosity, learning, and meaningful preparation can bring many of the benefits of travel into your life right now.
You'll discover:
Why travel has always been a powerful tool for spiritual growth
How exposure to different cultures can strengthen faith and character
Practical ways to experience the world from home
The value of planning and anticipating future adventures
How meaningful experiences often begin long before the journey itself
A thoughtful conversation on gratitude, perspective, lifelong learning, and finding ways to keep growing even when your circumstances feel limited.
What do you do when you lose something you love?
Whether it's a loved one, financial stability, a meaningful opportunity, your sense of peace, or even something as simple as a treasured possession, loss has a way of leaving us feeling helpless.
In this powerful reminder, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) shares a personal story about having his bicycle stolen while studying overseas and the life-changing lesson he learned from a fellow student who responded differently to a similar loss. Through a beautiful Prophetic Dua, he uncovers a promise from Allah سبحانه وتعالى that many believers overlook during difficult times.
Drawing on authentic teachings from the Sunnah, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) explains why patience during hardship is so beloved to Allah, how believers are rewarded for the things they lose, and why every loss carries the possibility of something better.
In this episode, you'll learn:
Sometimes the things we lose open the door to blessings we could never have imagined.
Tune in to discover how one simple Dua can change the way you experience loss and strengthen your trust in Allah's plan.
Your brain treats a made-up disaster the same way it treats a real one.
In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) gets personal about years spent scanning for what could go wrong, unable to just enjoy the moment because tomorrow felt too uncertain.
He ties it to the Islamic understanding of qadr, a Quranic reminder about what strikes us and what misses us, and a story that completely reframed how he thought about tawakkul.
You'll walk away with a practical way to catch yourself mid-spiral and a question to ask when anxiety about the future pulls you out of the present.
There's a version of Islam that trains you for the good days. The khutbahs, the reminders, the advice that works beautifully when your life cooperates. And then something crashes - your work, your health, your plans - and you realize that version wasn't enough.
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) spent his life teaching a different version.
One that holds in every condition, not just the comfortable ones.
This episode covers the two equations that sit at the center of Islamic resilience: hope and fear, sabr and shukr. And why, traced to their roots, both collapse into a single answer.
One that doesn't ask you to feel okay first before you can access it and one that belongs to the sick and the healthy, the answered and the still-waiting, the grieving and the grateful, equally.
He also unpacks why "Alhamdulillah" is a statement of theological reality. And why that distinction changes everything about how you carry it through a hard day.
In this episode:
Some weights feel spiritual.
Righteous, even. Like carrying them makes you a better Muslim.
But what if the heaviest things you've been holding were never yours to begin with?
In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) walks through one of the most quietly liberating truths in Islam - a truth that's been there all along, but that most of us have never fully let ourselves believe.
If you've been feeling responsible for things far outside your hands, this episode will shift something in you.
Not by lowering your standards, but by redirecting your energy toward what actually belongs to you.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is put down what was never yours to carry.
Many people carry a quiet frustration in their hearts. You want to serve Allah, help others, and leave behind something meaningful. Yet a voice inside whispers that your impact will always stay small because the world barely knows your name.
In this powerful reminder, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) explores a theme that every believer wrestles with at some point: what does it mean to matter when nobody notices you?
Through stories from early Islamic history and reflections on the lives of the Prophets, this episode reshapes how you think about influence, success, and recognition. You will discover why some of the greatest contributors to Islam remain unknown to history, yet their actions changed the course of the ummah.
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) also guides listeners through a simple exercise that brings the heart back to gratitude, presence, and trust in Allah during moments of anxiety or isolation.
By the end of this episode, you will walk away with a different measure of significance. One that frees you from chasing attention and reconnects you with the quiet power of sincere action for Allah alone.
If you have ever wondered whether your efforts truly matter, this conversation will land exactly where it needs to.
Every year, the last ten nights of Ramadan arrive… and many people treat Laylatul Qadr like a hopeful moment instead of a decisive one.
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) explains something in this session that shifts how you see that night completely.
Laylatul Qadr carries the meaning of power and destiny. The night when what lies ahead for you begins to descend. A moment when a believer stands before Allah and asks with a level of certainty that can redirect the path of their life.
In this video, Shaykh Muhammad walks through why this night carries such immense weight, how sincere Du’a can shape what comes next in your life, and why believers approach the last ten nights with urgency and expectation.
He also shares practical actions to focus on during these nights, from Qur’an and prayer to the type of Du’as believers raise when they understand what Laylatul Qadr truly represents.
Watch the video to hear how he explains the opportunity hidden inside this single night, and why missing it means missing a moment that can echo across your entire future.
A small moment of distress turned into a powerful reminder about how a believer calls upon Allah when every door seems closed.
In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) reflects on a personal experience that reshaped how he understood hardship, hope, and turning back to Allah.
The story leads into a deeper reflection on a verse many Muslims know by heart and a question that quietly changes how you see every test in your life.
With your help, we can empower Muslims to rise above worldly limitations and live lives that reflect Ihsan - excellence in everything we do.
Support us now and help us carry the legacy of Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) forward.
Most people make this big mistake...
They stop expecting from Him.
The hands still rise in Dua, but the heart treads lightly.
That’s what a tired heart does.
It shrinks Duas to avoid getting hurt again.
Because at times like this, hope is one disappointment away from despair.
Look, you wouldn’t ask if you believed nothing was possible.
Allah told us He is as His servant expects Him to be.
What we expect shapes what we experience.
By not asking, we lose the permission to dream again.
And Allah is still waiting for the Dua you stopped making.
Are your Duas small or your vision? Let's find out...
There’s a kind of blindness that sneaks in quietly when you’ve been waiting for too long.
You stand in a dark place with a little bit of light and assume that’s all there is.
So you ask Allah only for what you’ve seen before, what feels reasonable, what wouldn’t hurt too much if it didn’t happen.
Over time, your heart starts measuring Allah’s response through outcomes you can imagine and timelines you can tolerate.
Delays begin to feel personal, and silence starts to sound like rejection.
But Allah was never limited by your history, your worthiness, or your expectations.
Sometimes the waiting is widening your heart before it changes your situation.
And the Dua that feels blocked right now is actually preparing you to receive in the way Allah intended.
She made a specific dua at ten years old with a clear picture in her mind.
Years later, she realized she was living that exact dream.
She began telling herself certain things were unrealistic.
In this conversation, Darakshah shares how joining Visionaire challenged the quiet stories she had been telling herself, reshaped her connection to Dua, and shifted the way she approached her relationship with Allah.
Within months, doors opened in ways she did not expect.
This episode goes beyond one career story. It explores:
How childhood Duas can quietly shape your entire life
The subtle beliefs that limit how you ask Allah
What changes when you “amp up” your dreams instead of shrinking them
The spiritual and emotional shift that impacts salah, mental health, and relationships
If you have ever convinced yourself to be realistic with Allah, this conversation will challenge you in the best way.
In this powerful student interview, Jenny shares her deeply personal journey with Dua how it shifted from routine words to a living, conscious relationship with Allah.
As a convert to Islam, Jenny opens up about struggling to form a habit of Dua, feeling disconnected, and holding back from asking Allah for more than what felt “safe” or acceptable. Through her Visionary journey with Sh. Muhammad Alshareef (rA), she learned how to ask with intention, clarity, and trust and how Allah responded in ways she could never have planned.
From Dua being answered before it was even fully formed, to receiving gifts she never asked anyone for, to witnessing dreams unfold even after letting go - this conversation is a reminder that Allah hears, Allah responds, and Allah gives far beyond what we imagine.
If you’ve ever felt hesitant to dream big with Allah, unsure if your Dua matters, or disconnected from the power of asking - this story will rekindle your hope and expand your trust.

Fear shrinks Duas more than you think...
Many people keep their Duas small because they’re afraid of what would change if Allah answered fully.
I once worked with a woman whose life looked stable and respectable, yet it drained her until surviving felt like a prison.
Her Dua stayed quiet and cautious because bigger hope felt like it would demand courage she didn’t think she had.
That fear often disguises itself as realism, humility, or being content with less.
But Allah says He is as His servant expects Him to be, and expectation lives deeper than words.
The Dua you hesitate to say often reveals the version of yourself Allah is inviting you to become.
Big Duas feel scary because "becoming new is".
The purpose of "Visionaire" is to retrain the heart to believe in Allah again and unlearn fear-based living.
The message is to make the Dua that one is afraid to say, as that is the one Allah has been waiting to hear.
Many Muslims today carry a type of mental pressure that builds quietly.
A mind that does not pause.
A heart that feels tired.
A day filled with noise even when everything around you is calm.

This free training with Ustadha Sarah Sultan gives you a gentle, grounded understanding of your inner world and a practical tool you can use right away.

• Why the mind loops on guilt, fear, and unfinished tasks
• How emotional overload impacts worship and presence

You want to be close to Allah.
You want your heart to be awake in worship.
You want your days to feel purposeful and guided.
But right now…
You’re overwhelmed with responsibilities
You get distracted the moment you try to focus
Time keeps slipping away

Your heart feels distant and tired
You worry you’re falling behind
You hate feeling like you’re not doing enough for Allah
And when you finally sit to read Quran…
Your mind is somewhere else.
You’re not alone.
In this session, you’ll learn:
✅ How to stay present with Quran even when life is busy
✅ How to bring the feeling of Khushu into every day, not just Salah
✅ What to do when your heart feels far from Allah
✅ Simple habits that help you stay consistent
✅ How to stop drifting and feel connected again
Nobody expects perfection from you - not even Allah.
This is about showing up, even when you feel overwhelmed.
A heart that feels the distance is a heart Allah is calling back.

When Allah asks us in Surah An-Nisa: “What is wrong with you?” - He is speaking to those who ignore oppression and suffering around them.
In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) reminds us of a powerful spiritual responsibility: listening to and supporting the oppressed. We explore the Quranic verses calling us to defend those who cry out “Our Lord, rescue us”, and the prophetic promise that Allah will never disgrace the one who stands with the vulnerable.
You will hear reminders from the life of the Prophet ﷺ - how his protection from Allah was tied to caring for the afflicted - and the warning he gave Mu’adh (ra) about fearing the Dua of the oppressed, a Dua with no barrier between it and Allah.
This episode will shift how you see activism, mercy, and the protection Allah grants those who step up.
May Allah make us a source of relief, never a cause of harm. Ameen.

The question every believer must ask: what are you leaving behind?
Legacy isn’t about fame, followers, or having your name remembered by the masses.
It’s about the unseen deeds written with Allah - the ones carried out quietly, sincerely, and with intention.
From the brother who organized parking at the masjid, to the soldier whose name was never known but whose sacrifice was recorded in Jannah- these are the legacies that matter.
This reminder dives deep into what it truly means to make a difference.
The Prophet ﷺ said, “Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.”
Whether in family, work, or community, every believer is a leader.
Listen to the podcast to know how small consistent actions, pure intentions, and a refusal to “give up” can transform an ordinary life into one of extraordinary impact.
It’s a call to build ideas that serve, to use time wisely, and to craft a legacy that echoes into the Hereafter.

There comes a moment when a person realizes:
The only thing standing between them and the life they were meant to live…
…is the courage to ask Allah for it.
Not the connections.
Not the timing.
Not even the resources.
Just a Dua bold enough to match the size of what’s in their heart.
Because every visionary journey begins with a Dua that feels a little too big.
A request that stretches the soul and dares to trust in the unseen.
A dream verbalized in sujood, because of a belief that nothing’s impossible for Allah.
And once that kind of Dua is made, everything begins to shift.
Limiting beliefs start to fall away.
The past no longer defines the future.
And what once felt impossible starts unfolding, piece by piece.
This is the power of a believer who decides to dream with Allah in the equation.
So if the desire is there…
If the fire is still flickering…
It’s not over.
It’s just beginning.

Sometimes the most powerful insights doesn't from books or lectures, but from the quiet reflections of your own life.
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) shared an idea that came to him while looking through old photos.
An idea so profound, I joked about selling it to Google—but the truth is, it's something every believer already has access to.
Your moments of joy are not random.
They're reminders from Allah.
What if the memories that made your heart feel full… the places where you smiled with your whole being… the quiet times with loved ones, or the unexpected moments of peace… what if they were signs Allah showed you to ask Him?
Not as a passing wish.
But as a heartfelt, sincere Dua.
It's an invitation to pause and look back at the joy Allah already gifted you… and to ask for more of it. With intention. With certainty. With hope.
If you’ve ever wondered what to make Dua for…
If you’ve ever struggled to know what really matters…
If you’ve ever wanted to live more deliberately, more gratefully…
Then listen to this podcast, and let your own life remind you what to ask Allah for.
Because Dua is about recognizing what Allah has already placed in your heart.

You’ve heard the world’s noise about “quiet time” - mindfulness, meditation, deep breaths… but did you ever stop and ask: “Wait, where’s this in our Deen?” Let’s take a seat (literally) and discover how Islam taught us the power of pausing before it became cool.
In this heartfelt session, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) takes us behind the scenes of spiritual productivity - where ‘doing nothing’ is actually doing everything that matters.
Learn why the Prophet ﷺ said that just sitting, waiting for the next prayer, counts as the highest struggle - jihad, ribat! Find out why those awkward, fidgety moments before the Adhan or Iqama are actually prime time for Dua to be accepted. And discover what “Aisha-time” really meant in the Prophet’s masjid (hint: no clocks, just pure presence and trust).
Whether you’re addicted to hustle culture or allergic to sitting still, this talk will flip your perspective. Shaykh (rA) shares personal stories, a touch of humor, and a powerful reminder: quiet time is a prophetic pathway back to Allah. Put your phone away, calm the mind, pick up your Qur’an, and watch your ‘doing nothing’ become the most rewarding part of your day.

Most people never realize they're just following programmed responses. The clock says it's time to eat, so they eat. The craving hits, so they satisfy it.
Free will becomes an illusion when every "decision" is actually a conditioned reflex.
But Allah, in His infinite wisdom, has given us tools to break these cycles. When you consciously choose to fast, to abstain, to say "no" when your nafs expects "yes" - you're not just changing your eating habits. You're reclaiming your willpower from systems designed to enslave it.
This is the essence of what Allah calls taqwa - that conscious awareness of His presence that gives you the strength to choose what pleases Him over what pleases your desires.
Every time you resist an automated response and turn to Allah instead, you're building spiritual muscle that transforms every aspect of your life.
The Quran reminds us that Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.
Breaking these cycles is about liberating your soul from anything that competes with your devotion to your Creator.

What would you ask for if you had a guaranteed yes?
In this short episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) gives us a space to pause and reflect on the power of asking - not from people, but from the One who never turns you away.
It’s about preparing your heart for that sacred moment when the doors are open… and what you choose to say when you step through.
It’s a reminder of who you’re standing in front of - and how much that one moment can shape your destiny.
Listen in. You might just change what you ask for next.

Ever feel like you’re spiritually stuck?
You’re doing the worship. Saying the right words. But deep down, it feels like something’s off - like your heart is buffering.
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) explores what it means to experience a true spiritual hard reset. Just like a device overloaded with too many apps, we build habits - some helpful, many harmful - that eventually slow us down or shut us off completely.
This is about breaking the patterns that are quietly draining you - whether it’s your emotional triggers, your autopilot sins, or your dependency on comfort routines.
Sometimes growth comes from pausing long enough to reset everything.
The world has completely shifted. Industries that seemed unshakeable have crumbled overnight, leaving millions scrambling for what's next. But within this chaos lies the greatest opportunity of our lifetime.
A WOW idea is the kind of concept that makes people stop mid-conversation and say "I've never heard anything like that before."
These are the ideas that serve people in ways that align perfectly with Islamic principles of benefit and justice.
The most successful Muslim entrepreneurs understand something profound: when your business truly benefits people, every transaction becomes an act of worship, every profit an opportunity for sadaqah, every success a means to serve Allah's creation better.
The question is whether you're ready to stop following the crowd and discover the one that's been waiting for you.
The one that combines what you love, what the world needs, and what brings barakah to your rizq.
Your community needs what only you can offer. The time to find it is now.
Ever wondered what those overwhelming emotions are when you first see the Kaabah?
This podcast by Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) breaks down the eight most common feelings Hajjis experience during their first Umrah - from confusion and awe to tiredness and even frustration with your travel companions.
Drawing from decades of Hajj and Umrah experience, this discussion addresses the emotional journey that often gets overlooked in typical "how-to" guides.
You'll know why feeling confused when you first see the Kaabah is completely normal, understand the proper etiquette around the sacred House, and get practical advice for navigating the crowds.
The Kaabah as a direction rather than an object of worship, the significance of the Black Stone, and why Makkah is uniquely designed as a place where worship is the only focus.
Stories from Seerah of the Prophet (SAW) and the Sahaba will help you understand your own experiences better, including lessons from the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah about handling frustration during sacred journeys.
Whether you're preparing for your first Umrah or reflecting on past experiences, this honest podcast validates the emotions of Hajis while giving Islamic guidance on how to process them spiritually.
Perfect for anyone seeking to understand the deeper emotional and spiritual aspects of visiting the holiest site in Islam, especially in this season of Dhul Hijjah.
In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) dives deep into something many Muslims struggle with - making Dua for years without seeing results and wondering "maybe Allah doesn't want this for me."
He shares his personal journey with trying to pray Fajr in the masjid for 30+ years while battling insomnia. The breakthrough came when he realized it wasn't about Allah rejecting his dua - it was about his strategy.
That's the good news he wants to share: those Duas you thought would never be answered might just need the right approach.
Shaykh (rA) explores different types of Duas - some happen immediately (like his childhood Ramadan story), while others require effort and strategic planning. Just like building a house requires more than just money for construction, our bigger duas often need foundations and multi-level planning.
It's time to elevate our Duas beyond just jobs, houses, and cars. He challenges listeners to develop a decade-long vision, because an excellent life never happens by accident - just as we tell non-Muslims that the universe's excellence proves Allah's existence!
Learn from prophetic examples like Nuh (AS) building the ark and Musa (AS) leaving comfort to free Bani Israel. Their stories show that even miraculous outcomes required strategic effort first.
Have you ever felt guilty for asking Allah for a good life? As if dreaming big or wanting to thrive in the Dunya somehow makes a person less pious?
This podcast addresses a limiting belief that holds many Muslims back - the idea that seeking success in this world contradicts spirituality.
It challenges the misconception that comfort, abundance, or a fulfilled life is something to be ashamed of.
Instead, it brings attention to clear Qur’anic verses where Allah promises blessings in the dunya to those who believe, have taqwa, and do good deeds.
It explores how the Prophet ﷺ and his companions lived with purpose, control, and a deep sense of responsibility.
Their simplicity was a choice - rooted in wisdom.
They had access to wealth and influence but used it for the sake of Allah, with clarity and impact.
The podcast also emphasizes the balance between tawakkul (trust in Allah) and taking strategic action. Trust doesn’t mean inaction—it means doing one’s part while relying on Allah’s plan.
This is a powerful reminder that there’s no second round in life. It encourages believers to aim high, live with purpose, and stop holding back due to misplaced guilt. A much-needed mindset shift for anyone who feels torn between spiritual sincerity and worldly aspiration.
You know those heated arguments in the masjid about moon sighting, or the tension when someone corrects another's prayer?
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) shows us how the Companions had passionate disagreements but never let them destroy their brotherhood.
Shaykh (rA) didn’t just tell us to "be nice" - he gave real strategies for dealing with conflicts, showing how to give advice without humiliating people, and explaining why some of our well-intentioned dawah efforts actually push people away.
In an age where Muslim communities are fracturing over the smallest issues, where social media arguments turn into real-world divisions, we desperately need to learn how to disagree without destroying our bonds.
This is about preserving relationships while standing firm on principles. Whether you're dealing with family disagreements, community politics, or just trying to navigate everyday interactions with other Muslims, the wisdom shared here is invaluable.
If you've ever felt frustrated by divisions in the ummah or wondered how to correct someone without hurting them, this talk is for you. It's about building the kind of community where differences strengthen us rather than tear us apart.
Allah tells us this single night is better than a thousand months - that’s over 83 years of worship.
A few hours of sincere prayer on this night outweighs a lifetime of normal worship.
The angels descend in numbers we can’t comprehend, filling the earth with peace until dawn breaks.
It’s the night when destinies are decreed, when prayers are especially powerful.
This is why we must make haste in seeking this night out in the last ten nights of Ramadan.
Why do hardships come even after choosing the path of Islam? Shouldn’t life become easier when you're on the truth?
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) shares a powerful reflection on trials, struggles, and the reality of faith.
Allah makes it clear in the Quran: “Do you think you will enter Paradise while such [trials] have not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you?” (Quran 2:214).
Every believer will be tested, just as those before us were. Wealth, health, and personal hardships are all part of the journey. The struggle itself is proof that you're on the right path.
Jannah is not easy. It is surrounded by difficulty, while Hellfire is surrounded by ease and desires. The challenges you face, the temptations you resist, the hardships that shake you - every single one is a step closer to Allah’s pleasure.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, if you're questioning why life isn’t getting easier, this reminder is for you. The road to Jannah is not for the weak-hearted. But for those who endure, who hold firm, who refuse to waver, the reward is beyond imagination.
Let this reminder reshape the way you see your trials. Stay the course. Stay firm. Keep going.
Ramadan is almost here, are…you…ready?
It’s a period for spiritual renewal, where we must break through our daily mandate
habits and realign our focus with the teachings of Allah (swt).
Through intentionality (Nia) and repentance (Toba)…
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) always emphasized setting achievable spiritual goals during Ramadan.
Because if we try to do everything, we’ll end up burning out and wasting this precious gift.
So, know that it’s okay to fall short, as long as you’re consistent.
Ever wondered why you're exhausted despite sleeping 8 hours? The answer might lie in a 1400-year-old tradition that's more relevant today than ever.
When Muslim soldiers won the Battle of Al-Qadisiyah despite being outnumbered 7-to-1, it wasn't just strategy - it was their mastery of sleep. In this eye-opening lecture, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) uncovers the sleeping habits that gave them this extraordinary edge.
Your phone's blue light isn't the only thing ruining your sleep. The Shaykh reveals what the Prophet ﷺ did instead, and explains the "burger-caffeine takeover" that's hijacking your natural sleep cycle.
You'll learn about a simple pre-sleep ritual that could revolutionize your rest. The forgotten morning hours that could double your productivity aren't just for early birds - they're for anyone seeking real change.
And that night prayer? It might be the key to deeper sleep than you've ever experienced.
In a world of sleep trackers and melatonin supplements, these timeless practices offer a natural alternative.
Whether you're struggling with insomnia or simply seeking better rest, this lecture reveals practical insights that bridge ancient wisdom with modern life.
This discussion isn't just about sleeping better - it's about living better. Learn how aligning your sleep with prophetic tradition could transform your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
When do you turn to Allah (swt) the most - during hardship or in moments of gratitude?
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) reflects on the two types of Dua: those made from pain and those made from thankfulness. Through powerful Quranic examples and personal reflections, he uncovers a crucial lesson: if we only call upon Allah in times of distress, what does that mean for our relationship with Him?
In this podcast, he shares how shifting our mindset to make Dua out of gratitude can entirely change spiritual connection and invite even greater blessings into our lives.
So, ask yourself right now, are your Duas coming from pain or shukr?
Ever feel like you’re carrying a weight you can’t quite put down?
That constant buzzing in your mind—things you haven’t done, things you should do, and the fear that maybe you’re just not doing enough. Anxiety doesn’t just show up unannounced; it’s tied to the pressure we put on ourselves. The guilt. The overwhelm.
And when stress keeps piling on, you either shut down or burn out. It’s not laziness—it’s the heart and soul crying out for relief. But how often do we actually stop and reflect? How often do we turn to Allah (swt) for clarity instead of trying to fix everything ourselves?
Sometimes, the chaos is a sign—a reminder to slow down, reset our intentions, and lean on the One who controls it all. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about finding peace in your heart, breaking free from the cycle of overwhelm, and learning to breathe again, with trust in Allah guiding every step forward.
Have you ever poured your heart out in dua, only to feel like nothing is changing? It’s a question so many of us wrestle with: “Why are my Duas not working?”
In this heartfelt session, you’ll uncover the truth about what’s holding your Duas back. Through a profound analogy of a young boy skipping “leg day,” the speaker reveals how often we focus on our goals but forget to build the foundation needed to support them.
You’ll hear the wisdom of the Prophet (ﷺ) in the story of tying the camel—a timeless reminder of the delicate balance between effort and trust in Allah. And, with touching personal experiences, you’ll discover how preparation, accountability, and action can transform the way you make dua.
This is more than just a talk; it’s an invitation to deepen your connection with Allah and align your efforts with your prayers. If you’ve ever felt lost or discouraged in your Dua journey, this session is for you.
Do you prioritize your eternal home above your worldly desires?
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef sheds light on the topic of "Adarul Akhara,"...
…which refers to the Hereafter or the Final Abode.
We, as Muslims, need to put Allah and the Akhra in the equation of our goals…
…to intensify our devotion to Allah SWT and make the pursuit of desires worship in itself.
In this 30-minute journey, you’ll get to hear:
Thought-Provoking Tales
Where desires collide with destiny; and
The pursuit of everlasting bliss takes center stage.
Tantalizing Glimpse into the Beyond
Where faith meets destiny; and
The eternal home awaits those who dare to believe.
Lessons from Nature's Miracles
Where life emerges from dead earth; and
A powerful reminder of Allah's ability to bring the dead to life in the hereafter.
Significance of Prioritizing the Hereafter Over Worldly Goals
Such as marriage or financial transactions; and
How it aligns with seeking the pleasure of Allah.
And much more!
Each name of Allah is a manifestation of His perfection.
His (swt) attributes are beyond human comprehension.
When we invoke Allah using His names in our Duas…
We’re not merely uttering words but tapping into the essence of His attributes.
Whether we call upon Him as Al-Rahman (the Most Merciful) or Al-Qadir (the All-Powerful), we’re acknowledging His sovereignty over all creation and seeking His aid with humility and reverence.
In it, we beseech Allah by His beautiful names. Who better to call during our lowest points in life?
Furthermore, let us reflect on the common phrase ""God is love."" While some phrases like “God is love” may carry good intentions, they fall short of capturing the entirety of Allah's majesty.
Yes, Allah is indeed Al-Wadud (the All-Loving), but to reduce Him to a mere abstract concept like love is to diminish His greatness.
Let’s not forget to approach Allah with the utmost reverence and awe, acknowledging His names and attributes in their fullness.
Let’s never underestimate the power of invoking Allah through His names.
Take a moment to reflect on the power of Allah’s attributes and choose His names carefully. May Allah guide us on this path of enlightenment and bless us with His mercy and grace. Ameen"
One of the most powerful yet underrated Dua we’ve ever received.
And that is…
"Guide us to the straight path." - Surah Al-Fatiha
In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) breaks down the essence of this verse.
It’s not just a Dua, but a call to Hidayah.
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) also focuses on the two dimensions of Hidayah - seeing the clear path and accepting the truth.
Consider these dimensions as gateways to Allah (swt)…
Because once we’re through…
We can find, see, and feel Allah everywhere, in our minds, homes, and even in the darkest places of our hearts.
In this heartfelt huddle, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) shared a profound lesson on navigating life's losses with patience and faith.
He highlights the transformative power of a special dua taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ:
"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Allahumma ajirni fi musibati wakhluf li khayran minha." ("To Allah we belong, and to Him we return. O Allah, reward me for my calamity and replace it with something better.")
Key Topics Discussed:
The session concludes with a guided reflection and recitation of this powerful Dua, helping viewers turn their losses into opportunities for spiritual growth and resilience.
How Can You Benefit?
Take a moment to reflect on something you've lost recently—big or small. Watch this video, recite the dua with Shaykh Muhammad, and renew your hope in Allah's promise to grant something better in return.
Every decision that you make in your life, every action that you take...depends on how much you care about your Akhirah.
It shows whether or not you've been thinking about the 'Dar-ul-akhirah' - the final abode.
A believer's choices come out of their love for the Creator, the yearning to be near Him in the Jannah, and the fear of being placed in Jahanum.
Look…
The actions you’re taking are leading you somewhere, right?
So, if you’re not finding a desire in your heart to be close to Allah, feel his presence, and ultimately connect with Him…
…then where are your actions leading you? Why is it terrifying? What can we do about it?
Do you often find yourself wondering why your prayers seem to hit a roadblock?
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) breaks down the whole dilemma of doors not swinging open and manifestations playing hard to get.
We may fear, at times, that our prayers may not be answered at all…
But this is exactly where we need to have Tawakkul in Allah (swt). There’s no place for doubt for a believer.
The road may seem blurry and uncertainty may rob us of our peace, but if we don’t learn how to move forward with hope...
We might sabotage our Duas ourselves, and the worst part is...
We'll never know and keep on waiting until we finally give up.
Gone are the days of Salah & Dua where you wish you knew what the Imam was saying.
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) shares glimpses of the Quran…
…so you too can contemplate and soak in the essence of the words of Allah (swt).
He also talks about what balance means in the context of a believer and debunks misconceptions people have about our Deen.
No matter where you belong, at the end of the day…
Islam is all about balance, dedication, and discipline.
It's okay to aim high when we talk to Allah.
We don't have to be afraid of being disappointed if we dream big.
Instead, we should believe that Allah can make amazing things happen when we ask Him for stuff.
Feeling bad about our mistakes shouldn't stop us from praying for big things.
We should always hope for good things and ask Allah for help, no matter what.
Forget about being "realistic,".
Think outside the box and dream a little bigger. So you can learn how to make your Duas super powerful and exciting.

If you want to know how to approach your Duas with an open heart and full faith, then listen to this podcast by Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA)…
…as he talks about the mental hurdles we face in making Duas.
Sometimes, we hesitate, not fully believing our prayer can be answered. But remember, even Shaytan made Du’a, and Allah answered it. When we reflect on this, we realize that Allah’s doors of mercy and acceptance are always open for anyone who calls upon Him.
Shaytan, despite being misguided, possesses knowledge and has used it throughout history, as we see in the Battle of Badr. Here, he attempted to mislead the disbelievers against the Muslims but quickly fled when he saw the angels descending. Understanding Shaytan’s actions reminds us to never doubt the strength of Allah’s protection over the believers.
Remember, no matter how much he’s cornered you, when you call upon Allah, know that your voice is heard.
Never let doubt creep into your heart, thinking you’re somehow overlooked by Allah. He is the Most Merciful, and He promises to respond to His servants.
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) shares 5 techniques to help combat laziness, boost your energy, and stay focused on worshiping Allah.
From fighting off yawns and following the Prophet's (PBUH) advice on moderation in eating to surrounding yourself with the right company, these tips are rooted in the wisdom of our Deen.
He also talks about the importance of seeking Allah’s protection from laziness, being truthful with yourself, and striving to push beyond excuses when it comes to fulfilling your duties. Let’s reflect on how these small actions can transform our daily lives and bring us closer to Allah.
It’s crucial more than ever to be united as a nation, as an Ummah of the Prophet (SAW).
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) shares a personal story about how reading science fiction helped him shape his views on anti-racism and unity.
Through this analogy, he emphasized how, as humans, we should come together against a common threat, regardless of race, color, or background.
Just like how the world united against the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and how, for the first time in recent history, humanity was on the same page for a common cause.
This unprecedented unity echoes the teachings of the Quran and the example of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who urged us to stand together as one Ummah and beyond that, to unite for justice, even with non-Muslims.
Look, unity is not just a virtue, but a necessity for Muslims. Allah (SWT), especially in these dark times. Allah commands us to hold firmly to His rope and not to be divided.
As an Ummah, our strength lies in our togetherness, whether in times of ease or hardship. Now more than ever, we must rise above differences and stand united for the sake of Allah, supporting one another in faith and action.
May Allah keep us united today, tomorrow, and all times to come. Ameen.
In this talk, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) shares personal insights and practical advice on how to raise Huffadh — children who memorize the entire Quran.
As a young boy sent to an Islamic boarding school to memorize the Quran, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) was one of the few who became a Huffadh in his early childhood.
His personal story highlights the deep, lifelong attachment that comes from spending intimate hours with the Quran.
He emphasizes the importance of raising the standard within our communities, moving beyond the basic goal of reading or memorizing short portions of the Quran, to encouraging children to memorize significant portions, if not the entire Quran.
Shaykh (rA) also focused on the crucial role of parents in their children's Quranic education, discussing how the love and discipline instilled at a young age form a foundation that lasts a lifetime.
And also warns of the dangers of settling for low community standards and encourages parents to aim higher, preparing their children not just for worldly success, but for the ultimate success in the Hereafter.
The significance of parents' influence, the importance of family stability, and how prioritizing Quranic memorization can lead to both intellectual and spiritual excellence.
In a time where attention spans are shrinking and Islamic knowledge is often reduced to tweets and quick videos, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) reminds us of the value of immersive, focused learning.
The practical tips and motivation discussed in this podcast are for all parents who aspire to raise children deeply connected to the Quran and equipped for both this world and the next.
A dad is a daughter's first love and a son's first superhero.
A father is the unsung hero taken for granted…
Who’s not allowed to cry when things get hard, who’s supposed to stay strong and lift everyone up.
Who’s judged, not for who you are, but for how much love and money you put on the table.
We’re culturally not conditioned to ask the same questions we usually ask mothers:
“How are you doing?”
“Is something bothering you?”
We've painted fathers as the villains who believe in tough love…
…as the prime dictator around the house.
…as a man who’s labeled “weak” when they experience emotional breakdown.
But Allah values fathers, more than anyone can ever do.
He recognizes your struggle, your hard work, and gives credit where it’s due.
The struggles of fathers are different than mothers.
But it's a struggle nonetheless, with no expectation of a reward.
Look pops, you don’t have to be in sacrifice mode all the time.
The world might think of you differently, but when you see how the Quran speaks to fathers…
...you’ll know:
💎 How can you positively express your feelings without feeling embarrassed or exposed
💎 What made prophets like Ibrahim (AS) and Yaqub (AS) the prime example of fatherhood
💎 How can you take care of your mental and physical health without compromising your responsibilities
💎 How can a father use the Quran to instill the love of Allah in himself and his family at any stage of life
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) talks about one of the most inspiring stories from the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ…
…focusing on the transformative power of his words and how they touched the hearts of those who came into contact with him, even his adversaries.
The difference between praising Allah (alhamdulillah) and expressing thanks (shukr) goes deeper than just textbook definitions.
It’s about understanding the depth and significance behind these expressions that we often use in our daily lives.
Shukr isn’t just words, but action—it manifests through our deeds, generosity, and gratitude to Allah for His countless blessings.
If you're curious about how these concepts shape our relationship with Allah and those around us, or if you've ever wondered about the deeper meanings behind the praise we offer to our Creator…
…then hear out Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) as he explains the concept of Shukr in the light of the Seerah of the Prophet (SAW).
As Muslims, our identity is deeply intertwined with our faith, our values, and our actions.
We’re those who consciously submit to the one God, without associating partners with Him.
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) also talked about ""sheep mentality"" - an innate tendency to seek commonality with others and to follow the crowd.
But if we're not careful, we may find ourselves following the wrong influences, straying from the path of righteousness.
Sadly, youngsters are easy victims of blind following. That's why guidance is crucial.
We need leaders who can steer us in the right direction, and who can help us identify with the right principles and people.
In today's society, it's all too easy to idolize actors, musicians, and other celebrities.
But who should truly be our role models? Back in the day, it was the community leaders, those actively involved in doing good. We need to shift our focus back to these individuals, to those who embody the values we aspire to live by.
But here's the thing: in the midst of all this confusion, how do we find our way? How do we uncover the true purpose of life?
Watch as Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) explains how to seek truth amidst these conflicting personalities.
As Muslims, we're blessed with clarity. Islam provides us with a clear understanding of our purpose: to worship Allah alone and follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
And let's not forget about the importance of seeking higher principles. In a world filled with man-made religions and ideologies, we must elevate ourselves above the fray. We must seek out the principles that resonate with our souls, and that align with the truth of Islam. It's about critical thinking, about discerning between what is authentic and what is merely a distraction.
May Allah guide us all on the straight path and grant us strength and perseverance in our journey of faith. Ameen.
Mothers have the BIGGEST roles in shaping the lives of their children. She doesn’t think twice before sacrificing everything for her kids to ensure their success and well-being.
Apart from the heartfelt stories Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) talks about, it’s also important to realize that self-care for mothers is really important.
We should be encouraging them to prioritize their well-being so they can continue to be the pillars of strength for their families.
Instead of general prayers, our Duas must be specific and strategic, covering various aspects of their lives—from Deen and education to our children’s health and relationships.
And moms! You shouldn’t neglect yourself in your Duas, as your strength and stability are essential for your child – no matter their age.
This video is a heartfelt reminder to all mothers, especially single mothers, of the immense value of their efforts. May Allah reward you for your sacrifices and grant you the strength to continue nurturing the next generation of our Ummah.
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA), shares insights on the difference between our limited human knowledge and the all-knowing Allah (swt).
We explore the concept of Taqwa, reminding ourselves of the importance of being more conscious of Allah than the opinions of others.
On the Day of Resurrection, our wealth, status, and relationships will be of no benefit—only our deeds will matter.
Our true happiness lies in surrendering to Allah and living a life of gratitude, aligning our lives with the teachings of Islam.
Living a life of purpose, joy, and deep connection with our Creator is our ultimate goal.
The challenges of balancing family life with the demands of Dawah are real.
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) talks about the emotional toll we can have on our families when we're constantly traveling and question whether Islam truly calls for sacrifices.
It's time we rethink our approach and leverage modern technology to spread our message more effectively, reaching a wider audience without compromising our responsibilities at home.
Islam has been underrepresented in the online world, compared to other religions like Christianity and even yoga.
It's crucial that we embrace new technologies and think ahead, rather than resisting them until it's too late.
Listen to the podcast to explore these important topics and consider how we can strengthen our Dawah efforts for the future.
**People hurt each other all the time…
That’s part of being human.
But when the hurt goes deep enough that scars your relationship for life…
That’s when things get sour…
…to the point you can’t even be in the same room as them.
Look, if that connection mattered to you before…
It should matter to you now.
Even when you’re at each other’s throats…
…Or have lost the will to talk freely…
…Or became distant without caring at all…
…That shouldn’t stop you from reigniting that closeness you once had.**
What’s discussed in this podcast is what every Muslim should know.
Everyone’s different that’s why we have differing opinions, even conflicting ones sometimes.
But what gets Muslims one page is a proper understanding of Usul al-Fiqh (Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence).
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) discussed the importance of structured and formal Islamic education through personal anecdotes and teaching experiences, highlighting how it can lead to a deeper commitment to Islamic teachings.
He also addresses the balance between being tolerant towards others and not accepting actions offensive to Islam, following the prophetic example of gentle correction.
The concept of Taqwa (God-consciousness) focuses on building protection against Allah's anger by following His commands from the heart and avoiding prohibitions.
Shaykh also talks about why memorizing the Quran is more beneficial than solely learning Arabic, as it means a stronger connection to Islamic teachings.
In short, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) has touched base on different topics in this podcast as he clarified some misconceptions circling in our society.
Here are some "Campfire Jin Stories" from the vault of Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA)
Remember those chilling stories shared around a campfire? Well, in this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) shares a real Jinn story from his own life.
But what’s more important is that these experiences led me to a deeper realization.
He was so afraid of Jinn, yet, he had to ask himself if he was equally afraid of disobeying Allah. This fear made him reflect on the true power of Allah, which is far greater than anything else. It changed his perspective entirely.
He also shared stories that remind us that Allah's power is always greater than our fears, no matter how big they are.
During these times, remembering Allah can be incredibly powerful. Whether it's reciting "Allahu Akbar" or expressing gratitude for our blessings, these practices can bring us immense strength and comfort.
As we navigate our daily lives, let's keep our spiritual practices strong. Seek forgiveness, express gratitude, and always remember that Allah is greater than any fear.
Is anxiety robbing your sleep these days?
In this video, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) discussed the prophetic teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)…
…to deal with the worst anxieties we experience from time to time.
Not just us, but Sahabas before the Battle of Badr were worried because the odds were stacked against them.
But Allah provided them with a restful sleep and rain to ease their anxiety.
And everyone knew what happened after that.
You see, every hardship we face is from Allah…
And He doesn’t burden us with a weight we can’t handle.
So no matter how terrifyingly our anxiety gets the better of us…
Allah has given us the strength to ward it off.
As humans, our minds are wired to go into alert mode when we feel just a little bit unsafe.
So, make a habit of creating a calm and safe environment.
If you can’t create one, then go find a place that gives you this feeling.
Whether it's enjoying a warm cup of tea, listening to the soothing sound of rain…
…or burning incense, finding what works for you is essential.
Many of us find comfort in simple, sensory experiences rather than turning to social media, which often intensifies anxiety.
And as far as social media goes…
There’s a sea of misinformation out there.
Even if the news is authentic, one negative post is enough to alleviate our anxiety even more.
So, find out what brings you peace and stick with it.
Keep your mind calm enough to not let anxiety get the better of you every time.
And always, always turn to Allah (swt) because He always has your back.
**In this inspiring podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) gives away 5 ways to live life to the fullest…
…with no regrets, no traumatic past haunting, and moving forward in life.
As humans, we all have an innate desire to live forever.
But our Deen gives us more than that, it provides us eternal fulfillment.
Shaykh (rA) also discussed limitations that make us human and fall into our path as roadblocks like procrastination, all levels of anxiety, excuses that stem from lying to ourselves, and self-criticism.
This is where we need Allah the most, a heart that’s filled with the love of Allah and a body that does the acts to please its Lord…
That’s a combination of a resilient believer.
True success and fulfillment aren’t found in material achievements but in aligning our lives with our higher purpose. And when we go in the opposite direction, there’s sadness everywhere. It’s nothing more than an alarm prompting us to seek deeper meaning and realign our priorities.
Listen to this podcast as Shaykh (rA) reveals 5 ways of living a life full of purpose and devoid of regrets. From making Salah our number one priority to understanding that our careers are secondary to our role as servants of Allah, these insights are designed to help you excel in this life and the hereafter.
Whether you're feeling lost, unfulfilled, or simply seeking to deepen your understanding of living a meaningful life…
This lecture offers valuable guidance and inspiration.**
Why are we making Shaytan’s job easier by second-guessing whether we’re even worth something to Allah or not?
“Is He disappointed in me?”
“Am I not worthy of His love?”
These questions might be swarming inside your head, keeping you locked out of the place where you need to be - a place where you can begin to have trust that Allah’s promises are on their way…
And let go of the devilish perceptions that endanger our faith.
Remember: Allah’s answer always comes to those who simply ask.
But, If you’re approaching Him (swt) with guilt and shame, it can “make” you discard your Dream Dua.
Put yourself in Yunus’s (AS) shoes for a moment, imagine being stuck in the belly of a whale, but even in those darkest moments, he never held back from asking Allah for help & forgiveness..
You see…
It’s finally your turn to rediscover who you really are, and what you really want…
…and not have a moment’s doubt before asking Allah for it all.
Your emotional and mental state needs to be stable and balanced for you to “reword” and “supercharge” your call to Allah.
And it’s about time you start asking Allah for the things you want.
In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) talks about little-known ways to master our emotions. It's crucial to understand that if we don't take control of our emotional well-being…
It can significantly affect every aspect of our lives, including our spiritual journey.
Emotions, if left unchecked, can lead to unnecessary suffering, strained relationships, and even jeopardize our Hereafter.
Back in 2005, when Shaykh (rA) started DiscoverU, his primary focus was mental health and emotional mastery.
And one of his flagship programs in 2007, "Master Your Emotions," highlighted the importance of this topic.
Even today, DiscoverU is following in his footsteps in helping individuals take control of their minds and lives.
Ignoring our emotions can lead to significant negative outcomes, from personal harm to damaging relationships, and even affecting our spiritual well-being.
In this podcast, you’ll get to know his practical strategies for mastering emotions.
One powerful method is using Quranic verses and Hadith to formulate positive, reinforcing questions that you repeat in your mind.
Because DiscoverU is all about “never taking Allah out of the equation”.
This helps reframe negative thoughts and fosters a mindset grounded in faith and resilience.
**In Islam, the concept of destiny, or Qadar, plays a pivotal role…
…with certain aspects of life such as birth and death predetermined by Allah.
Understanding this belief helps us build a foundation for embracing the power of choice and agency within the journey of life.
We can most certainly rewrite our destiny through conscious decisions and actions…and most importantly by Dua.
It’s more than just a supplication or a call for help.
It’s a heartfelt conversation with Allah (swt).**
How often do you remember death?
When we live with a focus on the Hereafter…
It humbles us to a point where we transform our daily actions and goals.
And during this time, striking a balance between our worldly responsibilities with our spiritual duties…
…is crucial, while ensuring that our family and community aren’t neglected.
In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) makes us rethink our priorities, and aim for a balanced life…
And focus on the Hereafter to truly thrive in both this world and the next.
Through heartfelt stories to the lessons from the stories of Prophets and righteous people…
Shaykh talks about leveraging the good deeds of others to tip the weighing scale in our favor.
One should die a death when Allah is pleased with them, because if it’s the other way around…
…then that’s an eternal loss.
May Allah grant him the highest of ranks in Jannah. Ameen.
Losing a child is one of the worst pain imaginable.
In this pain is lifelong and memories of the lost child will forever anchor the parents’ hearts to thoughts of paradise.
Support can be given anywhere, not just at the family’s home.
Losing a child, though deeply painful, ensures the child’s place in Jannah, creating an enduring spiritual connection for the parents.
This loss, while heart-wrenching, serves to soften their hearts, making them more patient and steadfast in their faith.
Each memory and tear becomes an opportunity for them to turn back to Allah, reinforcing their spiritual bond.
Also, drawing from my personal experience during a terrifying flight, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) discussed how sudden calamities can drive us back to Allah in desperation.
This incident could’ve been a major loss, but taught him the importance of installing spiritual practices in our daily lives…
Ensuring that gratitude and remembrance of Allah are constants, not just reactions to crises.
It solidified his will to live in constant gratitude, using every moment as an opportunity for spiritual growth.
Either you’re a devastated parent or someone who experienced a heavy loss…
Know that every moment of pain is an opportunity for you to connect with Allah (swt).
The love of Allah will pull you towards Him (swt).
Gratitude isn’t just a source of piling on good deeds, it’s also a source of sustenance.
In this video, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) talked about the power of making a difference, even in obscurity.
Pick up a thankful attitude towards Allah’s blessings, for gratitude brings you more opportunities to connect with your Creator.
And also requires you to take action and alleviate anxiety.
This session serves as a beacon of guidance, reminding us of the timeless wisdom found through the words of Allah (swt).
So, embrace simplicity, be thankful (even when there’s no need), and strive to make a difference – a change so powerful it could shake the entire system.
When Ramadan ends, it’s only natural to get sucked into our same ‘ol routine.
Anxiety creeps in through the doorways we’ve been trying to bolt shut.
But when we start to lose the momentum we vowed to maintain throughout the year…
We’re hit with a round of disappointment - beating ourselves up for not being able to stay consistent in our pursuit of Allah (swt).
Then comes the pressure from falling short in our daily spiritual habits.
And when these dots connect, the pattern takes a frightening shape...
...threatening to put us in zombie mode while our blocks start to resurface.
Look, we’re all humans.
Falling short is a blessing in disguise because it’s an opportunity to strengthen our ties with our Creator.
But when you learn to steer your personality and emotions to remain unbelievably calm in the face of adversities…
That’s when you bury the triggers hidden inside your old self and cover them up with newfound spiritual habits...
...that keep you on the path you set on in the first place.
You’re not meant to fail, you have every strength to push yourself and prolong your spiritual high for as long as you can.
As. Long. As. You. Can.
Even a small fly can distract us during Salah.
But when it came to Umar (RA) even a deadly poisoned knife wasn’t able to spoil his unwavering commitment.
The resilience shown by the Imam, who continued leading the Salah despite being gravely injured…
…serves as a reminder of the Khushu we seem to have lost.
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) talks about Salah not just being a ritualistic worship but a fundamental pillar upon which our faith stands.
It’s not just a routine but a transformative experience.
It’s a sacred dialogue with Allah.
Through Salah, we build a spiritual fortress that shields us from the pitfalls of sin and guides us toward righteousness.
As we pray heavily during these last 10 nights of Ramadan, let us heed the words of Allah and His Messenger (PBUH)…
Recognizing Salah as a beacon of guidance in our lives.
May our prayers serve as a source of strength, drawing us closer to Allah (swt).
**With deep insights and practical advice, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) talked about the journey of self-reflection, spiritual growth, and devotion during this blessed month of Ramadan.
It’s a month of preparation for the Akhirah, setting actionable and realistic goals for this Dunya, and making powerful Dream Duas.
This podcast focuses on fasting, seeking forgiveness, and engaging in acts of charity and kindness.
From practical tools for maximizing the productivity of our deeds without our blocks holding us down…
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) helps you navigate the challenges of Ramadan with grace and Niyah.
After listening to this podcast, you'll walk away with a clear roadmap to make the most of Ramadan and draw closer to Allah.**
Are you doubting your capability of fasting this Ramadan?
There’s always a health concern nearly everyone has.
And why shouldn’t they? Because changing an entire routine for a month is a pretty big and bold change.
Your body takes time to adapt to the new schedule. But know that it doesn’t make you weak.
In fact, fasting can rejuvenate your body, strengthen your faith, and get you closer to Allah (swt).
In this video, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) dropped gems about the importance of fasting…
Why it’s a BIG improvement in our health, and what eating habits we need to be mindful of.
And how to strike the perfect balance between indulgence and moderation, and make sure that your iftar and suhoor meals nourish your body without draining your energy.
Metaphors shape our behaviors and experiences, they can change the way we see Ramadan.
Every Ramadan, we get overwhelmed with too many obligations, only to end up burning out, losing Khushu in Ibadah, and spiritually exhausting ourselves.
So, here’s a trick you can use to change the way you see Ramadan: Metaphors
This month is a time for spiritual rejuvenation, community building, and personal growth.
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) underscores how coming up with certain metaphors for this month can influence our mindset and actions…
Guiding people like us to reflect on their own perceptions of Ramadan and its significance in their lives.
**Ramadan is almost here, are…you…ready?
It’s a period for spiritual renewal, where we must break through our daily mandate
habits and realign our focus with the teachings of Allah (swt).
Through intentionality (Nia) and repentance (Toba)…
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) always emphasized setting achievable spiritual goals during Ramadan.
Because if we try to do everything, we’ll end up burning out and wasting this precious gift.
So, know that it’s okay to fall short, as long as you’re consistent.**
Life’s a test and it’s going to throw obstacles in your path.
The only way to move forward without breaking down is through patience.
When you’re hurting, it’s not a punishment, it’s a signal for you to pay attention to.
There’s something you should be focusing on, not the pain, but where it’s directing towards.
And when you resist the temptations your nafs tackles you with…
And be laser-focused on your purpose: to keep your journey aligned with Allah (swt)…
…through powerful Duas, Sabr, and Tawakkul in Allah (swt).
In this video, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) inspires you to embrace patience…
…as opportunities for spiritual growth and strength-building.
The success of others is what fuels our desire to do more, and to move forward with hope.
It might also make you “jealous” in some part of your heart, but as long as it’s constructive, you’re good.
We’re all feeling stuck at some point in our lives, be it family, work, or connection with Allah.
And we do know that Dua is the language of the heart and a heartfelt conversation with Him (swt).
But how to make Duas that actually bring a positive change in your life?
What makes a person consistently obsessed with doing whatever it takes to achieve?
That’s what our guest Husain Abdullah has shared in this interview.
How Allah carved his journey from being an NFL Football Player to guiding the Ummah to Deen.
**In reality, there’s no end to it.
Allah loves us more than a woman loves her child.
That’s why even during our tests, He sends us opportunities…
So we can heed His warning and get back on track.
He also looks for excuses to forgive us.
He’s the Most Merciful, The Most Beneficial.
How can a God like that ever do something bad for you?
Every plan of His is a blessing in disguise…
Only if you start to trust Him, you can see how much He loves you**
One effective tool to deal with overwhelming emotions...
...is Journaling. It's when you dump all that's in your brain on a paper.
It helps you clear your mind and detox.
Sometimes, our feelings can break apart from our interior...
...disrupting our mood, habits, and our lifestyle.
So, to contain it properly, journaling is a good way to go.
Try it yourself, write down whatever you're feeling...
And you might feel a little lighter.
If your science teacher didn’t use analogies…
Maybe you would have a lot of trouble understanding the concepts.
But when it comes to the Quran…
Some people make the mistake of assuming Allah looks down on people by using some analogies.
That is NOT true.
Here, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) cleared the dust by explaining why analogies are crucial for education…
And why it’s actually an effective tool in helping people understand complex ideas…
Same is the reason for drawing relatable comparisons.
This is evident that Allah indeed knows us better…
And talks in a way our minds would easily comprehend.
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) shares a though-provoking story...
And talks about our duty towards the whole Ummah.
History is evident...
A united front is always hard to defeat...
...than a lone warrior.
When our Muslim brothers and sisters are facing a severe test...
We should be there for them, care for them, and help however we can.
And at the very least, we must make Dua for them...always.
But if we don't bat an eye while their cries echo throughout the world...
We may be the next victims ourselves.
What happens when we lose hope in Allah?
Our life drifts apart, our goals become blurry...
And we become stuck in doubt, in Allah and ourselves.
That's a dangerous place to be in.
So, never ever lose hope in Him...
Because He has the power to turn your Duas into reality.
And if you find yourself waiting long enough...
Revisit what went wrong and ask again.
He always listens.
Who stands before a king and asks for a penny? In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) talked about a Muslim sister who had the privilege of meeting a real-life king in a Muslim country.
She was confused about how to approach the conversation…
But, do we think about it when we’re talking to the King of the Kings?
This is where he talks about strengthening our connection with Allah and enhancing our dua skills.
Because when we’re able to have powerful conversations with Him (swt)…
It shapes our reality, it declutters our mind from emotional toxicants…
And allow us to nurture a mindset that relies on no one other than Allah (swt)…
…where we can take Tawakkul to the next level.
Rewards for your deeds depend on your intentions.
And good intentions are all that matters when it comes to being a believer.
But, they’re rooted deep into our subconscious…
And Allah sees through it all.
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) also discusses some misconceptions…
…that may create a gap between our intentions and actions…
Why It’s important for both to be on the same page…
And how can we, as a community and Muslim Ummah…
…have consistent intentions that serve Allah’s purpose.
Craving instant results for your Duas?
In this video, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) discusses the unbelievable power of forgiveness..
In our pursuit of blessings, we often overlook the impact of forgiveness on the acceptance of our prayers.
Whether it’s desiring a harmonious family, obedient children…
…or a closer connection with Allah, the pathway to these blessings depends on gratitude.
Join Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) in this podcast as he delves into the essence of gratitude—more than mere expressions of "Thank You" or "Alhamdulillah."
The wisdom behind forgiveness can accelerate the acceptance of your heartfelt Duas.
Want instant results for your Duas? Do this...
Sometimes (or at most times) we crave quick results for the things we want. Whether it's having a loving spouse, obedient children, closeness to Allah...
...or basically, anything that we know can take time. But still, we want it right now.
So, there's a way you can speed up the process of acceptance of your Dua.
And that's gratitude.
In this podcast, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) breaks down the concept of gratitude and how it’s a lot more than just saying “Thank You” or “Alhamdulillah”.
Every decision that you make in your life, every action that you take...depends on how much you care about your Akhirah.
It shows whether or not you've been thinking about the 'Dar-ul-akhirah' - the final abode.
Listen to the episode here
A believer's choices come out of their love for the Creator, the yearning to be near Him in the Jannah, and the fear of being placed in Jahanum.
Look…
The actions you’re taking are leading you somewhere, right?
So, if you’re not finding a desire in your heart to be close to Allah, feel his presence, and ultimately connect with Him…
…then where are your actions leading you? Why is it terrifying? What can we do about it?
Even his mother's pain didn't break his faith.
Ammar (RA) was not the only one...there were more.
But the Quraysh never even stood a chance against the hope they had in Allah (swt).
So, over time, what changed?
With the situation of our Palestinian brothers and sisters getting worst day by day, it feels like…
Our hands tied behind our backs, and we feel like we can't do anything.
Somehow, we’ve allowed our flames of hope to die out.
We’ve lost the spark in our Duas, we’ve misplaced our matchboxes elsewhere…
And we've unwillingly distanced ourselves from Allah when we need Him the most.
How can we find hope when things look dire?
How do we dust ourselves off and stand firm with an unwavering trust in Him?
Allah promises us in the Quran, "Verily, with the hardship, there is relief".
So, as believers, how can we hold on to that promise and rise above what's happening right now?
And more importantly, how can we learn from our Palestinian brothers and sisters and their relentless hope in Allah (swt)?

In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) sheds some light on the life of Rasul Allah (PBUH), the struggles he went through, the sacrifices he had to make, the loss he bore, and the pain he endured…
And how despite the tests, he always showed compassion, began conversations with love, instilled hope in mankind, and helped Muslims become resilient believers of Allah (swt).
Stop with the boring Duas...

How did Daud ﷺ overcome the powerful Goliath?
How did the believers of Badr overcome thousands of Quraysh?
Hint: It was never about strength or numbers.
The hurt from seeing others in pain becomes a voice echoing in our minds:
"I'm just one person. What can I do?"
Listen...
Shaytan's responsible for a lot of things...but not this one.
While we're tired of seeing pain everywhere we go online...
We're also imprisoning ourselves for the crimes of others outside our reach.
Back to the question: What defeated Goliath and the Quraysh?
A believer's mind which knows its worth.
You already have the strength to do the unthinkable...you just need to unlock the door.
The key is: the way you perceive yourself and the only reason you can end up being weak is if you 'feel' that way.

**Are we worthy of receiving Hidayah from Allah? The answer is: YES.
When Allah blesses someone with the gift of guidance, then it doesn’t matter how long a person has been astray…
As long as they vow to never repeat the same sins again and devote their time and energy to worshiping Allah (swt).
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) uncovers some gems about:
What exactly does ‘Hidayah’ mean to Muslims?
Insight into the two types of guidance: seeing the straight path and accepting the truth.
Three actionable ways to cultivate "Hidayah" in your heart.

In this episode, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahulAllah) speaks about captivating stories from the Quran that were turned into powerful supplications (duas).
These stories are not only inspiring but also serve as a guide on what we should be asking for in our prayers.
Join Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahulAllah) where he discusses:
“Why should I put my trust in Allah’s plan? What if, His plan is different from mine?” **Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef explores the idea that every event, whether a trial or a blessing, is predestined by the Divine.
Trust doesn’t mean everything will work out the way we want, but it ensures we stand our ground and accept what Allah has destined for us.
This is where he emphasizes on:
The significance of offering specific and meaningful dua (prayers).
How the calamities of life like fear, hunger, loss of wealth, and loss of life are predetermined; and
The story of Shahabuddin Betty Yaya, who remained calm and at peace when his father was shot and killed**
Sipping coffee with like-minded friends feels like a perfect Sunday evening...
Until one of them asks, "How's work?"
Why would this make you want to end the conversation sooner?
Why do we dread going back to work on a Monday?
Why do clocks at work seem to be running at a turtle's pace?
The absence of joy in our work life has created a vacuum we're constantly stuck in.
If the work itself doesn't excite us to face new challenges and depletes our energy quicker than others...
It starts to spread in other areas of our lives. The 'emptiness' starts to affect our feelings about every item on our daily to-do list...
...like house chores, running errands, raising kids, and even commuting to work.
If you're feeling stuck in your own prison, your freedom is inevitable if you're taking moderate or drastic measures.
That's where Razia Hamidi will be discussing the measures we have at our disposal in this FREE webinar on How To Find Joy & Meaning In Your Life's Work on September 21, 2023 at 11 am ET...
The tools you'll learn at Adwam will help you:
✔ Find joy and meaning in your day-to-day activities
✔ Support you in uncovering the kind of work you're made for, the kind that gives you a sense of belonging; and
✔ Help you transform your dull work experience into something that matters.
**Allah knows the gut-wrenching pain a mother has to go through to protect, sacrifice her own desires, and raise her child.
That's why He treats them a certain way like no other.
He comforts and instructs them to have faith in Him.
If we look through the Quran, Allah talks in a motivational and comforting tone when dealing with mothers.
Whether it's the mother of Maryam (AS) and her desire to supplicate her child in the service of Allah...
...or it's about Maryam (AS) when she was blessed with the news of being granted a son as a prophet...
...or when Allah comforted the distressed mother of Musa (AS) by ensuring he was fed by her, even when he was raised in the house of an enemy.
Islam also encourages balance and moderation in every aspect of life and mothers taking some time off…
…won’t make them selfish, but it gears them up with more strength to provide the right environment for their children.
A mom goes through challenging moments, sleepless nights, and tiring schedules...
Just because she envisions her child to be the best of both worlds, grow into a resilient Muslim, and be a source of Sadaqa Jariyah.**
Muslim community all over the world has been fed negative beliefs. And that’s one of the Fitnah our Prophet (PBUH) warned us about.
So, even if we manage to achieve the desired mindset and actually change our lives for the better, what if somewhere down the line…
Traditional personal growth clashes with our Muslim identity and tarnishes both perspectives in a single blow?
Would we have the Islamic perspective to customize our ‘traditional development tools’ to tackle those mind blocks?
The thing is…Islam owns terms like ‘mindfulness’, ‘growth’, and ‘excellence’.
So, as a believer, if you start looking at life from the Islamic lens, you’ll find that Islamic life coaching isn’t something different…
…rather it’s the missing piece that aligns a believer’s mindset with Allah…
And with rising mental health problems each year, it’s why we need it now more than ever.
These aren't minor setbacks. They're symptoms of a far greater problem...

When trust in our ability to perform is lost, our confidence erodes, stress piles on at home, and without ever realizing it...
...we're hanging on to our careers by a thread. What’s the root cause?
It began quietly years ago with the disconnection from ourselves and Allah.
We read so many books on relationships, fictions, sci-fi, horror, motivation, business, mindset, and whatnot.
But, why don’t we make time for the Quran? Why do we ask for guidance in every Salah when we recite Surah Al-Fatiha, but don’t act on the guidance by Allah?

Join Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rahimullah) as he dissects Surah Al-Fatiha and answers:
If you think both are the same, think again.
Alhamdulillah = “Thanking Allah by words.”
Shukr = “Thanking Allah by actions.”
The word ‘Alhamdulillah is a general phrase; something you’d say after a good meal, but if you thank Allah for the delicious food and give away a chunk to someone in need…
That’s called ‘Shukr’

How often do you find solace amid the chaos?
In today’s podcast…
Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef (rA) talks about how everything is in Allah’s control.
It’s all about our belief in Him and His power.
As humans, we face things that can have drastic consequences…if things go downhill.
But the most important thing that can single-handedly infuse us with hope is our faith in Allah (SWT).
One of the best examples we have is the Battle of Badr. The odds of Muslims winning the upper hand were slim to none…
However…
What held those resilient Muslims together…
…was their die-hard love for Rasul Allah (PBUH) and unshakeable Iman.
And the rest is history.
Here you’ll get to reimagine:
In this episode, Sh. Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah) talks about a beautiful Dua that Allah made part of the Quran…
And the events leading to it.
He highlights that people in times of distress and pain call out to Allah but asks wordly solutions…
And how studying the same Dua can help us get through the turmoil in our lives.
Here you will find out:
Sh. Muhammad Al Shareef (RA) talks about the importance of Dua…
And how asking for worldly matters (especially babies) doesn’t come under self-serving purpose.
He emphasizes the fact that Allah can do anything…
Even when our limited minds can’t comprehend its practicality.
Here you will find out:
Ever feel nervous when speaking in front of others?
The anxiety kicks in, maybe you’re worried about stammering or making a mistake.
Well believe it or not one of the greatest Prophet (A.S) had trouble with his speech,
And the Dua he made to deal with the matter became so beloved to Allah that He (S.W.T) mentions it in the Quran.

There are Duas Allah loves so much, He immortalized them in the Quran.
From the Prophets and righteous people of the past.
What made them so special?
Was it just their piety, or is there more to it?
That’s what Ustadha Taimiyyah Zubair spoke to us about last week.
How the most powerful Duas in the Quran have certain qualities,
And how to crack the code and apply those qualities to raise your own Duas this Ramadan.
I hope you enjoy!

With Ramadan almost upon us, here’s a little something for you:
I recently had a great discussion with Sister Aliyah Umm Raiyaan,
Who shared the incredible story behind her book: Ramadan Reflections
And beyond that, the Dua behind that story.
And with the holy month almost here, I thought that story might give you that little bit of motivation needed to raise your Dua this Ramadan.

It can be scary to trust your feelings after tragedy;
Whether it's a loved one, broken dreams, pieces of yourself lost to time,
But nobody said it has to stay that way,
And with the right approach driven by tawakkul, it is possible to feel whole again.
That's what I discussed with writer Asmaa Hussein as part of our pre-Ramadan prep webinar.
We called it "A Ramadan Love Story", with the idea of helping you fall back in love with yourself, with worshipping Allah, with tawakkul, and with your Dream Duas.
I don't know where you're at in life, but if you're looking for a boost to prepare you for an amazing Ramadan, I hope this episode of the podcast helps.

You’ve invested all that time in Dua, when you’ve put in the work, the sweat, and tears into chasing your dream…
And it just doesn’t work out how you expected.
Where do you go from there?
Last Sunday I spoke about this topic and the concept of tawakkul in a webinar with Ustadha Hosai Mojaddidi, and it was truly refreshing.
We covered everything from…
And more

With a new year comes new or renewed dreams,
For many we choose this time to reset our ambitions, whether in Deen, Dunya, or both,
And thinking about that subject, I’m reminded of this beautiful conversation I had with an inspirational Muslimah in North America… and just had to share it with you again.
Let’s take a step back with Amany Killawi; COO of LaunchGood, the largest crowdfunding platform in the Muslim digital sphere.

There’s few things in life as rewarding as being at people’s service,
When you know the Prophet ﷺ preferred helping a brother in need over a month of seclusion in his own masjid [hadith],
And when you know the feeling of fulfilment that comes with guiding, mentoring, coaching someone through their darkest episodes into their success.
It just makes sense.
But in that process of guiding others, there are some serious mistakes that can disrupt the process,
And for the aspiring Muslim Life Coach, you definitely want to know what they are.
That’s what this episode with Mohammed Sheikh is all about.
This episode is brought to you by the Adwam School of Life Coach Training & Certification

If there’s anything you take away from today’s episode, I hope it’s this:
"Who you’re becoming is more important than what you’re doing right now."
What do I mean by that?
When you have a clear and ever-present vision of who you want to be, your present life will start to gear itself towards that goal.
I spoke about this during our recent Rising Tide Challenge, a 5 day intensive helping people make meaningful change in their lives and motivate others to do the same.

This episode of the DiscoverU Life Podcast is a little different...
…but it's definitely something you don't want to miss!
Let’s take a step back in time, to the late 2000's, where Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef gave one of his most memorable khutbah's on building a nation of leaders, and introduced us to Islamic life coaching.
Just a heads up, the audio in the masjid may sound different for the first minute or so, but will clear up after that, in sha Allah.
We hope you enjoy!
“I have the best job in the world”
That’s what Mohammed Sheikh told me recently.
He helps people make positive changes in their lives by entering the right state of mind.
In other words, he’s a life-coach with a specific focus in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
I can hardly think of a profession that feels as rewarding as helping people become better versions of themselves and keeping Allah in the equation at the same time.

Something we hear from parents all the time:
"They grow up so fast"
And it’s true, when we don’t pay attention, we miss out on the little moments that make the biggest difference in any parent-child relationship.

Here’s a little throwback for you:
There’s one key word every Muslim who wants to start a family needs to get right…
Values
We know our purpose comes from the Quran and Sunnah,
But how do we practically implement them in our vision of family life?
That’s what I discussed with Dr Osman Umarji about a year ago.
We covered:

Sometimes knowing is not enough,
We have to learn the truth the hard way.
That’s what I took away from this incredible talk with Shaykh Mohammad Elshinawy.
We had an insightful discussion on tawakkul; trusting in Allah, not only in theory, but through lived experiences.
This episode covered themes including:
And the formula for putting your trust in Allah.

I’ll let you in on a secret…
…even experts get stressed and anxious.
That’s what Sister Menahal Begawala told me in a very raw discussion we had not too long ago.
Having all the answers doesn’t mean you won’t feel these natural human emotions from time to time,
And the fact that you feel them is completely healthy.
But the question is how do we, as Muslims, work through all the stress and anxiety of life?
That’s what this episode of the DiscoverULife Podcast is all about:
And more!

Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef's last message to us was to rise with the tide - to do nothing is not an option.
In this session, we hold space to grieve and remember our beloved Shaykh, teacher and mentor, rahimahullah.

The Prophet ﷺ shared this beautiful analogy with us:
In an authentic narration [Bukhari] He ﷺ told us the example of the believers and disbelievers is like a boat.
The believers have the top deck- so they can easily access water.
The disbelievers have the lower decks, and need to ask the people upstairs every time they need water,
So they decide “hang on, why don’t we just cut a hole in the bottom of the ship, so we can get our own water?”
And if the believers don’t take action, then everybody drowns.
Now maybe you’ve heard this hadith, probably lots of times in your life,
But you know right now I think it’s meaning really resonates the most.
Because it feels like we’re all drowning.
We’re all feeling the economic pressure.
And the natural reaction in times like these is to become complacent.
To hide and not take risks,
But not acting is what’s causing us to drown in the first place.
Look, the only solution we have right now is to ride with the tides.
That means stepping out of our comfort zone, taking calculated risks, and leaving the rest to Allah.

Every Arafah there’s one scene that always come to mind:
All those pilgrims standing on the mount for hours and hours,
Calling upon their Lord with all their hearts.
When you’re there in the moment it’s a lot easier to go all out in your Dua.
But have you ever wondered how you could recreate that same energy right here at home?
A reminder I used to give every year around this time was the story of Yunus (A.S)
When he was in the belly of a whale, in the depth of the ocean, in the darkness of the night, still called out to his Lord, knowing he would be heard.
That’s the attitude we should have going into this day.
You might feel like you’re in a dark place right now,
Maybe it’s guilt, past trauma, doubt about whether or not you’re “worthy” of that Dua being answered,
But you’re asking the same Lord as Yunus, the one who heard him and delivered him from the darkest of dark places.
All you have to do is ask, and there’s no greater day to ask than this.
When the Prophet (S) told us that more people are saved from the fire on this day than any other day of the year (hadith sahih).
This is how you get into the Arafah mindset.

You’ve probably heard the story of Ibrahim (A.S) and the sacrifices he made, but how often do we talk about that word- sacrifice- at a personal level?
It’s easy to talk about it symbolically,
But when we’re faced with tough decisions, choosing Allah over ourselves is harder than we imagine.
That’s what I discussed with our teacher, Sh Abdul Nasir Jangda.
Alhamdulillah it was an amazing experience, and we managed to cover so much in such a short amount of time!

An Examination Of What It Means To Place Your Trust In Allah.
“Things aren’t going well but I trust in Allahs plan.”
I see people making this statement often, and I’m like, is it Allah's plan for things not to go well?
So I started to dig deeper into the topic of Tawakkul, and what it means to place trust in Allah.
What I found made my heart flutter. And I'd like to share with you the key distinctions and emotional Seerah stories on the topic.
Do not feed the birds because once you do, it will become dependent on you instead of Allah and you will never be able to feed it for the rest of its life.
The Prophet (s) said that if we only put our trust in Allah (swt) with tawakkul, then He will provide for us the way he provides for the birds.
With this pandemic, the economic crisis is inevitable. As Muslims, we should trust that Allah will take care of our rizq.
Increasing thankfulness to Allah (swt) is a must.
Allah says in the Quran, If you are thankful, I will increase you. Quran (4:17)
1. We have to appreciate that during this trying time, human race are coming together to fight this virus
And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided (Quran 3:103)
Just like during Ramadan, the whole ummah come together in fasting. If we just all unite like this on fighting other problems, the world would be a better place.
When the feeling of fear and uncertainty creeps in, you have to think of something to be thankful for. What is beautiful in this moment?
The Prophet (s) once said that if he would be called to a pact that would bring everyone and unite everyone together, he would respond and accept it.
