About me:
Martin Leroux is a singer-songwriter raised in the urban jungles of Tokyo, with its eclectic soundscapes and myriad stories. Influenced by the soulful sounds and strong storytelling abilities of folk greats like Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, and Tracy Chapman, Martin started writing music shortly after picking up the guitar at age 14, and has been performing and sharing his stories all over Japan since.
He has also lent his vocals to various TV and commercial productions, as well as video games, and on other musicians' and artists’ projects.
He is also an animal-loving vegan and would greatly appreciate being pointed to veggie joints with good chow.
A ballad I wrote from the point of view of my younger self, growing up within an environment that I was simultaneously far removed from. Wishing for the family, for the home, for the community everyone else seemed to have.
