Are you thinking of creating a Company Page On Linkedin. This podcast will talk about some pros and cons.
So stoked today to interview Steve Spiro. Steve will be sharing about his secret sauce on Linkedin and some tips on being a connector.
The one thing that has been consistent in most of Steve’s life is the Power of Mentorship, but in the beginning. Growing up a shy introverted kid, Steve wanted to break out of his shell. He knew he had a real purpose but, struggled to find that purpose. Survival was all he could focus on at the time.
His family struggled financially and that sparked his drive and ambition to never have to worry or stress about money. He worked with his dad in the family business while in High School and also while going to College. Seeing his dad being almost a slave to his business while still not really getting ahead, had a profound impact on Steve.
In an effort to blaze his own trail and not make some of the mistakes his dad did, right out of college, he started his own advertising company with a partner and opened an office in New York City.
But everything changed when Steve started training in the martial arts in '83. For the first time he experienced personal growth and development, not just physically but mentally and spiritually as well. Growing himself personally in those areas became addictive to him. He went on to be a black belt in '87. He holds a 4th degree blackbelt in Karate & 1st degree in JuJitsu.
He started to see the power of mentorship, at first how it helped him start to change and become the man he hoped he could become. But it was even more exciting when he got to “pay it forward” and start to help others in the same way he was helped.
Today Steve is a Communications Consultant where he coaches companies and individuals to find more effective ways to connect and is a master networker.
Steve believes in the Power of Mentorship and been blessed to be mentored by several very successful people in his life. He believes in giving back and has the honor of mentoring many others.
