Duane M. Harley, Esq. is an entertainment attorney specializing in contract transactions. Duane Harley graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, CT in 1999. Sean’s practice areas focus primarily on litigation, where he represents clients and businesses in criminal and civil matters as well as resolving disputes as an administrative officer in arbitration hearings. Prior to joining Hamilton Clarke, LLP, Sean served as a public defender with The Legal Aid Society of New York City (LAS), the largest public-interest law firm in the United States, where, since 2016, he represented thousands of indigent clients charged with serious felonies and misdemeanor matters. During his tenure, Sean litigated several suppression hearings and tried dozens of bench and jury trials to verdict. In his most recent trial, Sean secured the full acquittal of a client charged with attempted murder and weapons possession. Sean is also a certified arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the largest securities dispute resolution forum in the United States. A St. Petersburg native and lover of books, Rhianna is also a fervent advocate for equitable educational practices and policies. She currently serves as the Student Data and Evaluation Manager at Cathedral Arts Project. Prior to accepting her current role, Rhianna was an ESE teacher for 3.5 years. During her time as an undergraduate student at the University of North Florida, Rhianna served as a Student Ambassador for the College of Education and Human Services and was also awarded a two-year scholarship from the Florida Funds Minority Teachers. She most recently presented at the WJCT TEACH conference, where she provided insight on the intersection of equity and policy in education. In 2020 she was awarded the Minority Fellowship from Jacksonville University, where she will earn her master’s degree in Public Policy. I am Dr. Manouchka Pierre but before that, I was just a small island girl from Haiti. I was raised in the suburbs of NY. Although a tried and true NYer, I have also lived in Florida, which is where my teaching career began. I am the mother of two wonderful women, who are also my best friends. They keep the family group chat lively and keep me laughing. I am a Knight twice over, earning both my Bachelors and EdD from UCF. I have 2 Masters degrees, 1 in social science education, my first love, and the other in public administration and policy. My dissertation focus and my life’s work as an educator is focused on education equity and inclusion. I started my international education experience in the Kingdom of Bahrain, first teaching sociology and psychology, and then as Principal of the HS. I have experience at the Elementary, Middle and High School levels but HS is where I belong (and my favorite). In my “spare time”, I also work as a consultant with graduate students, guiding them through their doctoral journey, or with schools/companies needing curriculum writing. As the incoming HS Assistant Principal, I’m excited about what lies ahead. Cayman International School is definitely an island homecoming for me and the welcome I’ve received definitely has made it a home worth coming to. The sense of community and collaboration takes away the isolating feeling that the “teacher island” sometimes can be. My current hobbies are travel, writing (a book of poetry published, children’s book on its way), and eating great food! SANDER CAMEAU is a Brooklyn native. His organization "Funerals Don't Count Spread Love Now stands on the foundation of inspiring humanity to spread love now through intentional/tangible acts of love through giving He began his efforts in 2014 with his first give back initiative with a turkey drive. Sander was able to donate over 100 turkeys to familles in need in Brooklyn, NY. In 2015 FDCSLN was able to increase its efforts and fed over 1,000 homeless men and women in the inner city, In 2016 FDCSLN was able to literally spread love by taking its efforts on the road to Boston, MA where they were able to pay the grocery bill for 20 families in need of a "hand up." This was a self-funded mission that totaled over $3k. Later on that year FDCSLN was able to organize their biggest fundraising event to date. They were able to raise over $55K to help a family pay for their youngest child's cancer treatment. The original goal was to raise $25k and the organization not only met the goal of the family but surpassed it in one night. In 2017 FDCSLN was able to partner with local churches around the city of NY to purchase and collect over 300 coats to give to those in need. In 2018 the organization provided 2,000 plus diapers to struggling mothers in Brooklyn, NY. In 2019 as an opportunity to restructure, rebrand and re-strategize in an effort to double down and achieve their long-term goals. They realized their corporate aspirations needed wings of support and strategic partnerships were necessary for us to truly accomplish their mission statement of inspiring humanity to spread love now. Kent Patrice Theary Sutton was born on the Caribbean Island of Dominica. While growing up, he and his family lived on several different islands before migrating to the United States. Dealing with the culture shock of his new life, Kent became somewhat of an introvert, at times turning to his imagination and writing short stories. In 2002, a secret passion for acting came alive within Kent, while helping a friend on a small independent project. From there, he began studying with David Triacca, a well-known New York City teacher and acting coach, working his way from the foundations of basic acting to the master classes. The experience of studying different acting techniques, scripts and observing his teacher’s approach to directing left an indelible impression on him. In 2010, Kent’s short version of Miranda, won the Audience Choice Award at the Red Wasp Film Festival in Bryan, Texas. Soon after, Miranda had a strong run of festivals and screenings throughout the city of New York. Among them was, The New York City Public Library in June of 2011. In 2015, his screenplay City Called Heaven, received a nomination at the Peach Tree Village International Film Festival in Atlanta Georgia. In 2021, it won Best Feature Screenplay at the Utah Film Festival. Kent began training actors and directing local plays. He also began teaching through Lessons.com where he was named best acting teacher in 2019. Currently, he has teamed up with non-profit organization We Just Workin’ to train and inspire a new generation of actors. Jermaine Boswell is an actor and director, known for his supporting roles in numerous films and TV shows, including Zero (Bollywood, SRK), You Can't Take My Daughter (Lifetime), The Perfect Race, and many others. Starting out in live performance, Jermaine has been acting since his early church School days in Springfield, Massachusetts, taking his craft to the stage and starring as Danny Zuko in a community production of the iconic musical, Grease. Elan Suave (“Elan”) is an indie hip-hop artist from New York City.
He began his quest for stardom in March 2018, at age 14, with the release of his first song. By December 2018, he released his 1st EP, “Elan’s World". The EP was accompanied with two music videos for the most popular songs: “One On One” and "Hundreds". The "One On One" video was placed in 100 media and lifestyle outlets, including BetJams and Footlocker in the USA, while the song, "Hundreds”, was added to Spotify’s Discover Weekly. The EP was followed by four singles in 2019, all of which were added to Spotify's Discovery Weekly. This helped Elan to amass over 1M Spotify streams in 2019.
Elan continued his journey in 2020 with the release of his 2nd EP, $uave $eason, in February. Through 53 media outlets, the EP was placed in stores, shopping malls, and digital platforms worldwide. Elan released two music videos for the most popular songs on the EP, “Found Me” and "Jealousy". The videos are on YouTube. Both songs were added to Spotify’s Discovery Weekly. MyShawn AKA “Mush” is a native of Mount Vernon, NY who currently resides in the DMV area. She finds pleasure in her devotion to her family and raising her 3 children. She is a social justice advocate who is passionate about her effort to evoke social change. As a pioneer in the human services field, MyShawn’s professional experience and scholarship are in the areas of juvenile justice, mental health and education. Currently working on what she hopes could be used to make the change she hopes to one day see in the world, the Children and Youth Introspect and Empowerment Commission, the Education Coalition for Change, the Teen Life Taskforce and F.A.B.B. Girls (For All Black and Brown Girls) are her latest creations. She calls it the “quad effect,” a collaborative work effort where community and school-based programs will be used to address racial and educational disparities existing in communities populated by Black and Latinx people along with an empowerment initiative aimed to teach young minority girls of today to become tomorrow’s leaders.
With music always being her first love, MyShawn has been singing since the age of 4. Coming from a musical family, her love for this gift is reminiscent of the times where her grandparents would teach their children and grandchildren how to develop a keen ear for good music and create melodious harmonies. A counselor by profession, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health and Science and a Master of Science in Counseling from Mercy College. She also holds a Master of Philosophy in Criminal Justice with a specialization in public management and leadership and she is currently on the home stretch of her doctoral journey of the same at Walden University. She is a health and human services coordinator serving those with severe mental illness and a professor of counseling for the School of Nursing & Health Professions at Trinity Washington University in Washington DC.
MyShawn strongly believes it is her calling to press forward in life as a trailblazer for a greater cause. She holds firm to the belief that one’s accomplishments, education or status does not define who they are but rather exemplifies how one humbly, with unwavering sacrifice uses those blessings to bless others. Andre Johnson was Born in Decoy, St Mary in the Jamaica West Indies to humble beginnings. In his formative years, he experienced severe hardship and counts his numerous accomplishments as nothing short of a miracle and the dreams of his mother. The word is passion. And for Loretta Merritt it all starts with the voice. In fact, the Brooklyn native and youngest of five children has always enjoyed singing ever since her days coming up in the church where she was a featured talent in the children, youth, and young adult choirs. Loretta’s passion for music was ignited when she was first exposed to gospel legends such as the Clark Sisters, Cece Winans, and Yolanda Adams. The gifted vocalist’s strong foundation was set. For her it was always bigger than just music. It was and remains Loretta’s life. She was blessed and excited to utilize her singing and acting abilities, in 1985, in an Off-Broadway play, “I’m Reaching for the Stars” in New York City, where she had a leading role. Excerpts of the play were later aired on the Manhattan Cable Television. She was later inspired to sing, record, and tour with the renowned gospel choir James Hall and Worship and Praise. The choir was privileged to perform at The Stellar Awards, Bobby Jones BET, New York City Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting, along with Gladys Knight, Michael Bolton, and other renowned artists, to name a few. “Singing with the choir was one of the greatest experiences in my life,” says Loretta. “The power in our voices exuded greatness!” She adds. Loretta was thrilled to have the opportunity to develop her vocal talents further at the Juilliard Adult Evening Program in 2013. She studied the basics of vocal performance and mastered a wide variety of music from the layered complexities of classical to the bombastic majesty of Broadway. With hard work, dedication, and faith, one of Loretta’s dreams became a reality. She released her first single, “No One Greater” on April 26, 2019, played on The Bobby Parker Radio Show, The Gospel Grind Radio, WJOU Praise 90.1FM, and all digital platforms. At the 25th Annual Gospel Choice Music Awards in 2019, Loretta Merritt took home New Independent Artist of the Year award. On September 2019 she sang at “Christmas in September,” a live taping at Jamaica Performing Arts Center in New York, which was aired on Tim Warner (Spectrum) 79 & 1998 | Cablevision (Optimum) 68 | RCN 83, Verizon FIOS 43, and online streaming worldwide. Loretta enjoys performing at various concerts. On June 6, 2020, Loretta ministered in songs at the Saturday Night A.M.N. Live, via YouTube and Facebook, where she sung, “Turning Around for Me.” No matter what people were going through during the pandemic Loretta wanted her audience to know that God will turn the situation around. Loretta has been working with Grammy Winner Singer-Songwriter, Makeba Riddick-Woods at the Young Dreamers Consulting Agency where Loretta has found her sound, recorded songs. August 20, 2021, she released her amazing Single, “His Name,” written by Makeba Riddick-Woods and produced by Kid Classic and her Official Music Video was released October 22, 2021. For Loretta singing is not only a passion but also where she finds joy. Making an impact in people’s lives; encouraging others, uplifting, and ushering them into the presence of the Lord is her true calling. Loretta’s singing has touched audiences and they, in turn, have impacted her by just knowing that they were blessed. Loretta humbly states, “I was touched when a young teen girl came to me crying because my singing resonated with her, as she was going through challenges. It is times like this when I know I am living in my purpose and my singing is not in vain.”Her inspiration in writing songs comes from life experiences of herself and others. Alexander is a Bronx, New York Native. Once labeled as an “at risk” kid with a variety of behavioral problems, anger issues, and school related placements, Alexander has been able to slowly but gradually make a turn around in his life. Alexander accredits how far he has come with the help of God, his mother, and his godfather for never giving up on him and continuing to stick by him. Alexander was able to matriculate from Oakwood University in May 2017 with a Bachelors in Human development and family studies. He recently just completed his Masters of Social Work degree from Loma Linda University! His passion is working with underserved at risk youth who daily struggle with a variety of mental health issues as well as working with broken families who strive to repair relationships for a brighter future. Joanna Smith is a Geotechnical engineer and STEM educator. She has now opened her very own STEM camp in the Northeast Bronx for the summer of 2021. The goal of Daley Smith STEM is to expose 500 students within the NYC area to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to create more leaders in STEM fields over 5 years. The STEM camp is currently running for 6 weeks and serves as an educational tech company for students ages 5-15. Students are taught the basics of coding , electrical, mechanical engineering, finance and wealth management. Students are also taught physics and forces through the physical activity of Rollerskating. Additionally, students are involved in action learning through building and designing their own skates. Pastor Duddley Francois was born of Haitian parents in Orange, New Jersey. As a native New Yorker, he grew up in the Adventist Church and quickly became a part of Youth Ministries at an early age. Pastor Duddley is a graduate of Washington Adventist University (formerly known as Columbia Union College) with a B.A. in Theology and a concentration in Pastoral Ministry. He served as Chaplain of the Black Student Union as well as the Spiritual Life Coordinator for the campus. He also holds a Master's degree in Visual Communications and Design from Liberty University.
Known for his dynamic preaching, Pastor Duddley has been blessed with the opportunity of speaking at several ministry related events over the past 10 years; preaching in over 12 states as well as overseas. By the grace of God, Pastor Duddley has baptized over 500 souls for the Kingdom of God and continues to try to be obedient to God’s call. He is the co-founder of the Bible Unplugged Vesper Series (a vibrant, practical program on Fridays) focused on unpacking relevant spiritual topics for youth and young adults, since 2007.

Dr Kathy is a wife, mother of four and an internal medicine physician. She has always been fascinated by the human body and how marvelously it works. This fascination led her to medical school where she learnt not only the body’s physiology but its pathology and related pharmacology. As she treated patients day in and day out with chronic diseases she realized that few were being cured of their ailments. They continued to be sick with an ever growing list of prescription medications.
She struggled with various ailments which included obesity, migraines, joint aches and fatigue. Despite her intense medical training she was not able to cure herself.
A few years into her practice she was invited by a colleague and friend to embark on a total lifestyle change. This involved a dietary overhaul moving from a very processed vegetarian diet to a plant based unprocessed fare. In just 30 days she could tell that she was no longer the same. She traded all her processed chips, soda, cookies, candy, fries, fast foods, breads and pastas for a new bill of health. She was eating fruits, vegetable, nuts, grains and seeds in their natural state with minimal processing and felt more alive than ever before. She lost 20 pounds, the migraines went away. She had loads of energy and felt great.
Since than she paid keen attention to positive lifestyle changes and how they maintain health. She has shared this information with her patients and over and over again seen marvelous improvements in their physical exam, lab results and overall well being.
She also believes: positive lifestyle changes practiced every day are more powerful than any prescription pill to maintain health.

Evelyn Uba came to America, as an international student. Her plan was to obtain her bachelor’s law degrees then go back to Nigeria. However, life happened and she was not able to continue with law school after earning her bachelor’s degree. Years later, married with four children, she went back and earned her law degree while working full time. Dr. Peart is a native of Bronx, NY. She is the second of three daughters of Jamaican immigrants who exemplified faith, love, and family, believed in education, and valued the importance of hard work. She knew very early that she wanted to practice medicine. Developing a strong work ethic at a young age, she excelled academically and this afforded her acceptance into the A Better Chance Program, through which she earned a scholarship to attend the Wyoming Seminary Preparatory School in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Thereafter, she matriculated at the Johns Hopkins University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Premed. After college, she served as a medical volunteer at the Enrique Sotomayor Maternity Hospital in Guayaquil, Ecuador. During that time, in addition to gaining experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology, she also became proficient in Spanish. Upon return to the United States, she continued pursuit of a career in medicine and earned a Master of Biomedical Sciences at the former University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers University). She was subsequently accepted to the SUNY Upstate Medical University wherein she earned a Master Degree in Medical Technology followed by a Doctor of Medicine. After a year of research, she was accepted into the accelerated Public Health graduate program at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and earned a Master of Public Health Degree. While at Columbia, she worked for the Project STAY organization, providing mobile STD testing and counseling to various high schools in New York City. She continued with this organization and also participated in a Pediatric obervership until she began residency. Whether assisting in research, volunteering as a youth mentor, earning a degree, or working in various health care settings, Dr. Peart continued to advance her way towards practicing medicine and ultimately matched into the St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program in Upstate, NY. Through unyielding faith, some 18 years after graduating from Johns Hopkins, following a long and at times arduous journey, Dr. Peart completed her medical training and is currently board certified with Diplomat status in the American Board of Family Medicine. She believes that every setback was God’s way of preparing her for a lifetime of service to Him and to her community. As she embarks upon the next step into a career in Medicine, she understands that being a Physician is one of perhaps several manifestations of her purpose and she eagerly anticipates the unfolding thereof in myriad possibilities that her life, in partnership with God, will afford.

Sefton Dale Brown, Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, was born and raised in a musical family. His parents are Sefton Brown Snr and Claudette Brown, gospel music legends from the ministry "New Creation Heritage". Sefton jnr (known to most as Dale, has been singing for over 35yrs. He has ministered all over the Caribbean serving as the choir director, praise team coordinator, music director, worship and arts director for many ministries all across North America and the caribbean. He formed a ministry called Dale Brown and Truth also known as DB&T which started in August 2009 and is currently comprised of 18 active members from across the United states and Canada. The group blends traditional and contemporary gospel music with their own musical style. They have ministered across the United States, the Caribbean and now Canada. The ministry released their first album "Tru Celebration" in December of 2013; their second album "Under Construction" in September of 2015 and in January of 2018 they released a gospel reggae fusion project. They were also nominated in 2018 for the "best contemporary gospel group award" at the Eddy awards, held in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to their albums, the ministry has a clothing line which includes: tshirts, dresses and sweaters.
Dale has currently relocated to Toronto Canada where he is very active in the gospel music industry. He is currently the music teacher at Crawford adventist academy, the praise and worship director for the Apple Creek church, The music consultant for the Meadowvale Church and the director of the promotion company Muzikizlife. Mendel Murray, MBA, was born in Mount Vernon, New York and is the youngest of three children born to Lloydette and James Murray. He has an older brother Devin and sister Nichelle whom he credits with coaching him on how to be successful and being constant examples of hard work and determination.
Graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport, Mendel now works for Sonoma State University as an academic advisor and NCAA eligibility coordinator for student athletes.
Previously working at the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA), Mendel one day aspires to climb the ladder of the NBA, to become a Director of Player Development for an NBA team. Chaplain Adrienne Townsend Benton formerly served as an Associate Dean of Women for Lamson Hall located on the campus of Andrews University. Simultaneously, she served as an associate minister on the pastoral staff of Andrews University’s New Life Seventh-day Adventist Fellowship from 2002 to 2008. Her responsibilities included providing pastoral care, planning, and implementing opportunities for students to come in contact with Jesus Christ. Chaplain Benton holds an A.S. in Early Childhood, B.A. in Elementary Education and Psychology, MA in Curriculum and Instruction, and the Master of Divinity degree from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. In addition to this, Chaplain Townsend Benton was commissioned into the U.S. Navy Chaplain Candidate program in June 2005. Lieutenant Townsend Benton superseded into active duty in June 2008 as the first US Navy Seventh day Adventist female Chaplain. In her varied assignments she ministers to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families and has used the gifts God has seen fit to entrust her with to meet the specific needs of this community. Born in Mandeville Jamaica March 1985. Moved to Bronx NY at the age of 6. Went to PS 103 elementary school on carpenter Ave in the Bronx. Moved to Mount Vernon, NY in the sixth grade. Went to Mount Vernon public schools for middle and High School. Went to Lehman College graduated cum laude with a degree in economics. Later attained a J.D from Albany Law School. After Law School started teaching criminal justice at Rockland BOCES. Took a civil service exam for senior accountant in the Mount Vernon Comptrollers office. Scored in the top 3 and instead of being offered the senior accounting job was appointed to the position of 1st Deputy Comptroller by the City Comptroller at the time, Maureen Walker. 1st Deputy Comptroller comes with a great deal of responsibility being 2nd in charge of the entire City’s finances. Worked in that capacity from 2014 to 2018. In 2018 the former Comptroller lost her elected seat to the current Comptroller Deborah Reynolds. In this change in administration, Reynolds let me go and brought in her own team. Started working as the fiscal analyst for the Westchester board of legislators. After two years working for the board of legislator I was offered a job as a senior budget analyst for Westchester county’s budget department this is the position I currently hold. Tricia M. Ferrell was appointed as a Judge of the Nassau County District Court in March 2008. She was subsequently elected that same year to serve a six-year term and re-elected in 2014. The Judge adjudicates criminal matters and previously presided over the Driving While Intoxicated Court as well as the Domestic Violence Court. Presently, Judge Ferrell handles cases assigned to a criminal court part designated for defendants with privately retained counsel. Prior to sitting on the bench, Judge Ferrell was employed in 2006, as the Director of Compliance for Nassau County, where she managed the internal controls for various departments countywide. The Judge also formerly held the position of Deputy Village Attorney, where she prosecuted cases for the Village of Hempstead. Judge Ferrell’s legal career began as an eager Nassau County Assistant District Attorney in 1998, where she prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases. Judge Ferrell earned her Juris Doctor degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1998. Notably, the Judge was honored with the Law School’s Alumni Award for Judicial Service in 2014. Judge Ferrell graduated cum laude from the City College of New York. Judge Ferrell is actively involved in the legal arena and holds membership in the Nassau County Criminal Courts Bear Association, the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York and the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association, where she recently presented for its Chamber Chat Series. As a Nassau County Bar Association member, she is a longtime and energetic youth mentor, serving the Uniondale middle school population and she was a Co-Chair of the Bar Association’s Judicial Section. She is also affiliated with the Theodore Roosevelt Inn of Court, the Amistad Long Island Black Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the New York State District Court Judges Association, where she formerly held the office of secretary. Judge Ferrell is committed to community service and is an active member of the Uniondale Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (“NAACP”), Freeport-Roosevelt Branch. Elan Suave (“Elan”) is a 16-year-old indie hip-hop artist from New York City. He wants to be a star.
He began his quest for stardom in March 2018, at age 14, with the release of his first song. By December 2018, he released his 1st EP, “Elan’s World". The EP was accompanied with two music videos for the most popular songs: “One On One” and "Hundreds". The "One On One" video was placed in 100 media and lifestyle outlets, including BetJams and Footlocker in the USA, while the song, "Hundreds”, was added to Spotify’s Discover Weekly. The EP was followed by four singles in 2019, all of which were added to Spotify's Discovery Weekly. This helped Elan to amass over 1M Spotify streams in 2019.
Elan continued his journey in 2020 with the release of his 2nd EP, $uave $eason, in February. Through 53 media outlets, the EP was placed in stores, shopping malls, and digital platforms worldwide. Brian was President of the Bronx Youth Empowerment Program founded by NYC Council Member Andy King and his wife Neva Shillingford-King. Born May 24, 1991, in Springfield, Mass to Jamaican immigrants, Jermaine Boswell's unheralded rise to acting prominence began with a simple spark of creative energy in high school. Having worked on community skits and performances for church for much of his life, his first break came after a standout performance in an audition he had only reluctantly agreed to. Jermaine was offered his first lead role, as the exuberant Danny Zuko in the iconic musical Grease. This was perhaps the perfect fit for Jermaine to showcase his talents, both musically and dramatically, as he has always been the center of any room he walks into. Kirk was born in Christiana, Jamaica. He and his family moved to the US when he was 6 years old. They lived in New York and Massachusetts for a short time before settling in Miami, Florida, where he attended Miami Norland Senior high school, he excelled in academics, football and track & field. Following high school Kirk attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. After graduate school Kirk went to work as a design engineer in the oil and gas industry with Baker Hughes Inc., in Houston, TX. During his time with Baker Hughes, Kirk worked on several international assignments in Angola, Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, and Ghana as a project engineer. After his time with Baker Hughes, Kirk joined Chevron as a completions engineer, working on oil and gas projects in the Gulf of Mexico. Kirk has held various engineering and field positions with Chevron in New Orleans, Angola, and West Texas. He is currently working as a drill site manager (company man) in the Permian basin in West Texas. Kirk resides in Atlanta, GA with wife and two boys. Vanessa Blake is a filmmaker and a visual artist. Vanessa has been capturing still images of all kind since 2013. In 2017, Vanessa was awarded a video residency at Express Newark in Newark New Jersey. That residency afforded Vanessa the opportunity to connect with other like-minded creatives. In 2018, Vanessa wrote and produced her first stage play, The Race Before, A story of liberty and justice for some. In 2019 she also wrote, directed and produced her first short film, In My Solitude. In My Solitude is currently in the editing phase and is scheduled to be released later this year. Also, in 2019, the feature length documentary Being Gladys, which Vanessa worked on in several capacities won best documentary at the Newark International Film Festival. Vanessa is currently in the beginning stages of her next film project, The Waiting Room. She also is scheduled to work on two documentaries in 2020, Gone Too Soon and The Story of Dr. John A. Kenney. Sefton Dale Brown, Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, was born and raised in a musical family. His parents are Sefton Brown Snr and Claudette Brown, gospel music legends from the ministry "New Creation Heritage". Sefton jnr (known to most as Dale, has been singing for over 35yrs. He has ministered all over the Caribbean serving as the choir director, praise team coordinator, music director, worship and arts director for many ministries all across North America and the caribbean. He formed a ministry called Dale Brown and Truth also known as DB&T which started in August 2009 and is currently comprised of 18 active members from across the United states and Canada. The group blends traditional and contemporary gospel music with their own musical style. They have ministered across the United States, the Caribbean and now Canada. The ministry released their first album "Tru Celebration" in December of 2013; their second album "Under Construction" in September of 2015 and in January of 2018 they released a gospel reggae fusion project. They were also nominated in 2018 for the "best contemporary gospel group award" at the Eddy awards, held in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to their albums, the ministry has a clothing line which includes: tshirts, dresses and sweaters.
Dale has currently relocated to Toronto Canada where he is very active in the gospel music industry. He is currently the music teacher at Crawford adventist academy, the praise and worship director for the Apple Creek church, The music consultant for the Meadowvale Church and the director of the promotion company Muzikizlife. Dale Brown and Truth has expanded their ministry to now having a chapter in Toronto called "Dale Brown and One Voice". God has been really good to this ministry and for that they are grateful. Sean Anthony Thomas was born in Harlem, NY and raised in the Hudson Valley. He attended Choate Rosemary Hall for high school and later graduated from Brown University in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. While at Brown, he was a captain of the Division I Track and Field Team and was Ivy League Indoor and Outdoor Champion in the Triple Jump. Dr. Thomas graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical Center with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011 where he earned the Alumnae Award for Leadership, the Community Service Award, and the Best Research Award for his thesis entitled “Facilitating a Positive Change in Physical Activity Level with African American Adolescent Girls using the Trans-Theoretical Model.” Dr. Thomas has been working at Jag-One since 2012 and is currently the Clinical Director of the Georgetown Office. Dr. Fiona B. Lewis earned her Bachelor of Science in Fire Investigation from the University of New Haven in 2000. She then earned a Master of Science in Nutrition and Wellness from Andrews University and became a nationally credentialed Registered Dietitian in 2007. In 2013 she earned a Doctorate in Public Health with an emphasis in preventative health from Loma Linda University. Fiona completed the UMMC Obesity Health Disparities PRIDE research fellowship program in 2016. She has also completed a professional chef training program at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Healing and the Culinary Arts with an emphasis on plant-based cooking in 2018. Fiona has been slowly transitioning out of academia and research since 2017. Brian Lee is currently a pilot for American Airlines, currently assigned to the Embraer 190 fleet of aircraft. He is soon to transfer to either the Airbus A320 or Boeing 737 in the very near future. The journey to this point in his career however, was a long and sometimes stressful one.
Brian was born in the Bronx, NY raised by his mother who had major aspirations for her son. While deplaning after a flight to Jamaica while he was a child, he peered into the flight deck of the airplane he was riding on. The flight crew saw this and invited him up, sat him down in the Captain’s seat, and had him enjoy the view. From that day forward Brian knew what he wanted to become a pilot. He attended A Philip Randolph Campus High School in Harlem and after graduating in 2009, went straight to the University of North Dakota to begin his quest in Commercial Aviation. During his junior year of studies, the same school employed Brian as a Flight Instructor to help bring up and teach the students coming after him, and to also build his own flight hours for his long term goals. In the second year of employment as a Flight Instructor, he accepted an internal position of a Check Instructor in the UND Aerospace Standards Department. This small group was tasked with administering checkrides, or flight examinations, to the students under Examining Authority granted by the FAA. In 2014, Brian finally gained momentum toward his main goal by getting hired by his first airline, Envoy Air (formerly known as American Eagle Airlines). He spent five years at Envoy, with his final year serving as the Assistant Chief Pilot helping to supervise the hundreds of pilots based both in the New York and Miami domiciles.
Most recently in November 2019, Brian finally started at his dream airline, American Airlines where he currently serves. Brian will be the first to say that his almost 17 year long journey definitely had its bumps in the road. Whether those bumps be financial, failures or naysayers, he is a living testament that you can achieve whatever you want to regardless of the background you come from or the environment that you are in. At first, his goal was just to be able to fly and see the world, but after a few years, he learned that he helps to not only see the world, but connect the world; especially when it needs it most. Our guest is Akintola Jiboyewa. Akintola Jiboyewa is an actor that brings a distinct image and strong presence to any screen. We talk about the challenges and joys of being selected for acting roles and the importance of staying committed to one’s craft. With a Caribbean and Nigerian heritage, Akintola (pronounced uh-kin-tuh-la) began acting at Lincoln High School for Performing Arts in New York. Shortly after graduation he was accepted into the Negro Ensemble Company. There he honed his skills and developed a love for deep preparation in various off Broadway productions.
To pay the bills while acting, Akintola worked as a Crisis Interventionist at the Lorge School in Manhattan, providing classroom support to students with emotional disabilities. This experience influenced his future choice of roles.

Timothy Golden is from, Philadelphia, Pa. He has served as Professor of Philosophy at Walla Walla University in Washington from 2015 to the present. He is a member of the Speakers Bureau at Humanities and an Actor at the Red Door Project. He is a graduate of the Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review. After law school, he was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, and was an Assistant Public Defender with the Defender Association of Philadelphia from 1993-1995. From 1995-2006, he practiced law in Philadelphia as a sole practitioner, concentrating primarily on criminal defense (both trial and appellate), and civil litigation, litigating several cases before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He also practiced law as a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, where he represented indigent criminal defendants who appeal their conviction and sentences. After practicing law, he pursued a career in academic philosophy, returning to graduate school in 2004, earning a M.A. in philosophy in 2006, and a Ph.D in philosophy in 2011 from the University of Memphis. His areas of scholarly research are 19th and 20th Century Continental Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion/Philosophical Theology, Philosophy of Law, Philosophy and Literature, and African-American Philosophy/Critical Race Theory. He is the author of And the Word Was Made Flesh: Frederick Douglas and the Philosophy of Religion (Lexington Books, Under Contract), Subjectivity, Transcendence and the Problem of Onto-Theology (Palgrave Macmillan, Unser Contract), and he is the editor of both Racism and Resistance: Essays on Derrick Bell (SUNY Press, Under Contract), and Solidarity, Striving, and Struggle, The Moral, Political, and Religious Thought of Frederick Douglass (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Under Contract). He has also authored a book chapter entitled “Two Forms of Transcendence: Justice and the Problem of Knowledge, in Pursuing Trayvon Martin: Historical Contexts and Contemporary Manifestations of Racial Dynamics (Lexington Books, 2012). He is also the author of Looking for a Miracle, “ Freedom in Christ,” and “Back to Basics, three separate week-Long, Sabbath School styled, lesson studies on religious liberty. He was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church on April 6, 1991 and since then he has been an active member. Today’s interview is with Dr. Maya Patrice Byfield. Dr. Maya Byfield is the daughter of Jamaican parents born in Queens, New York. After graduating from Oakwood University with a BS in Biology, Dr. Byfield received her MS in Biomedical Sciences and Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. She conducted her Post-Doctoral associate work in Neuroscience at the University of Central Florida, College of Medicine. She is currently a Tenured Professor of Biology and Principal Investigator of NSF S-STEM LEAPS and BOUNDS Scholarship program at Seminole State College of Florida. As Project Director of Seminole State College’s groundbreaking STEM Research Program since 2010, Byfield has forged partnerships with some of the region’s most prominent institutions, allowing students to gain valuable experiences in Central Florida’s emerging biotechnology industry. Dr. Byfield was featured in the PBS Stories of Champions segment of American Graduate Day 2015 and awarded as one of the Top 100 Inspiring Women in STEM in the nation by Insight into Diversity Magazine. Dr. Byfield is also founder and director of Phenomenal STEM(ist). For bright minds with the potential to become America’s next generation of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) leaders, Dr. Maya Byfield AKA the Phenomenal STEMist is a bridge between innate talent and real-world opportunities. She was recipient of the Caribbean American Association of Lake County’s Community Service Award in 2012 and the Women’s Council of Realtor’s Royal Ascot Model Citizen Award in 2009. Bridgette received the South Lake Chamber of Commerce’s Anne Dupee Gem of the Hills award for outstanding contribution to the community in 2018. Her passion for entrepreneurship was taken to the next level when she graduated from Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Business Program in Spring 2017. She was also awarded the BBIF’s Championship Entrepreneurship Award for excellence in managing a high growth law firm. Bridgette is an enthusiastic special events planner of family “stay-cations” and cruises, a passionate aficionada of fine Caribbean, Asian and Italian cuisine and an avid reader of historical fiction set during the English Regency (early 19th century).
