They say that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but there is much more to health and well-being than just eating fruit! Join us in the second episode of Piara Voices as we take a deep look into both mental and physical health with an interview with PWPS Sport and Health teacher, Ms. Sarah Townsend and her obsession with the West Coast Eagles. Also in this episode, for our W.O.W Work segment, a series of poems about emotions by some Year 5 and 6 students awaits you, a movie review of the much loved Pixar film, Inside Out, and much, much more as we explore the vast world of health with our beloved hosts, Kailin S, Samantha M and Evie S. Of course we need to keep you thinking, so we have a riddle at the end of our episode as well as the answer for last week’s riddle. Click on the play button and you’ll be in a world of laughter, smiles, fun and knowledge for all kids and kids at heart. Cats are clearly better than dogs, but there are more to some animals than meets the eye. The first episode of Piara Voices, takes a look into animals and their place in the lives of kids. A popular movie The Lion King gets reviewed. There is a comparison between the new version and the original. Zoologist, Sarah Amies gets interviewed. She works at Perth Zoo and is actually one of the parents of a child at Piara Waters Primary School! A story called The Three Little Salmons And The Big Hungry Penguin is read and you get to learn a few things about different kinds of animals with Animal Facts! Do the monkeys really like the mushie-mushie flavour? There even is a fun riddle at the end to get people thinking.
