In this episode I will go over what I did to build more soil, increase decomposition, and trap more water for longer. The varies terrain types that I am currently working and what is growing on them.
1) Permaculture Plan (Show plan)
a) Soil building
i) Ground lattice
(1) Preserve water
(2) Trap Seeds
(3) Increase decomposition
ii) Use logs to prevent erosion and slow the speed of water which gives water additional time for absorption
(1) Increase sediment
(2) Describe soil composition and geological history per area worked.
b) Herb Survey
i) List and map herbs on 14-acre property
(1) Seasonal mapping
(2) Track yearly growth of mapped areas
(3) Promote yearly growth
c) Thin out mountain juniper
i) Promote wild/native grasses
Promote habitat for wildlife and livestock
