The latest is being called a 500 year flood, because it's a near impossibility that this would happen. Nevertheless, the festival was covered in 27 feet of water. Much of the faire was submerged. The Pub Songs Podcast was the third podcast I started back in 2005. The show went through many, many changes over the years, when I stopped finally podcasting it back in 2014, I felt overwhelmed and confused about its place in the podosphere. I spent many long hours thinking how I could revive the show. and last month, I figured out what to do.
In 2016, I will relaunch the podcast. However, there will be numerous changes.
First, it will document my intergalactic music tour of geekdom.
Second, the show will vary in length between 10-30 minutes and feature drinking songs both traditional Irish and Scottish songs as well as some of my twisted favorites.
Third, the show will be released weekly as a season. I expect to have 10-12 episodes per season. Patrons of my Music will be gain early access to the completed episodes or seasons as they become available.
This will be an exciting adventure. And I hope you will join me. Stay tuned for me to announce venues around the universe. And enjoy this live edition of the Pub Songs Podcast.

I started the Pub Songs Podcast nearly ten years ago. It's gonna through many changes over the years. I am very proud of the 138 episodes that made up this show. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. I decided to change the format of this show.
The new show will be a short-format, talk-only podcast that will be released every Monday morning. I love Celtic Christmas music about as much as I love classic Christmas music. The holidays are upon us. I'm in the Christmas spirit. I also need to start practicing for this year's Christmas show here in Birmingham when I perform at The Summit Christmas Market in about a week and a half. Changing the way you hear Celtic music
It was another busy week. I'm still at work on two CDs: Scottish Songs of Drinking & Rebellion and A Celtic Christmas. Both are nearing completion. I have one more song to finish mixing for the Scottish CD and I'm getting ready to send the Christmas album to the printers. It was fully funded on Kickstarter as of yesterday.
This is a huge triumph for me. My compilation CDs are incredible tools for promoting indie Celtic bands. And I am SO happy to be able to help these bands receive greater attention. If we raise enough money, I plan to hire a publicist to give the album even more attention.
The other great thing about this compilation is that it will also be used to raise money for both the podcast and Celtic non-profits. I've given away over $15K to Celtic non-profits since I started producing compilation CDs. I'm extremely excited to have such a fine compilation that will raise even more money every Christmas. Thank you for all your help!

We are just two days away from the big Invasion of DragonCon 2013. This year, I will be performing with the Brobdingnagian Bards for a weekend of Celtic Renaissance insanity. You never what's gonna happen.
In preparation, I decided to record another Pub Songs Podcast live on Google Hangouts. I am thrilled to report that the sounds issues that haunted the last two podcasts are resolved. I used my Edirol digital recorder to capture his podcast recording while my computer managed the video recording to YouTube. This meant, I had good sound and as good video as I can get.
The next show won't be released on Google Hangouts, I don't think... But it will be coming live from DragonCon as I perform the last concert of the convention at 2:30pm in the Podcast Track. I hope to see you there!

Today's show is dedicated to The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. If you love Celtic music and you're not familiar with the group, you're missing out. They are one of the reasons Gunns & Drums is recording an album called "How America Saved Irish Music". They're a shining example.
Once again, the show is suffering from some technical difficulties. I hope you will bare with me as I work out all of the details to offer you an awesome live show. This audio recording is filled with clicks. The alternative is you can listen to the show on YouTube, however, the audio quality there is horrible too. So pick one and decide which is the lesser of two evils. Again, my apologies. I hoep you enjoy the show nonetheless.

I keep planning on doing a YouTube video on my three pieces of advice for new parents, but I'm still not totally comfortable with quickly and easily recording videos. There's something that always keeps me from it. It's my own lack of confidence. But with eight years of recording audio podcasts, I figured I'll just go ahead and do an audio podcast and I'll record the video later.
My Kickstarter campaign is a huge success. There are five days left in the campaign. I am $400 away from my second stretch goal. Thanks to everyone who pre-ordered this album and helped me hit the ball out of the park with this CD. Keep an eye open for TWO CDs of music from me in the future.

Enjoy St Patrick's Day Pub Songs! I spent the last couple weeks recording a ton of great St. Patrick's Day music for my Irish & Celtic Music Podcast and of course this podcast as well.
