Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. The way the human body builds up its immune system is by encountering viruses and bacteria in the course of everyday life. This allows the body’s natural defense mechanisms to strengthen its ability to fight them off. We also know that social isolation weakens the human immune system. When governors issue incarceration in place orders, and require us to be socially isolated, they are not helping us, they are hurting us. Prolonged isolation weakens our immune system since we don’t have the normal exposure to pathogens that are necessary to maintain a healthy immune system. This makes it more likely we will see a resurgence of illness when things open up as folks will be dealing with their environment with a weakened immune system. In other words, we need fellowship more than we thought.
