Election Day started off Tuesday morning with a change I DID NOT want. The Chicago Blackhawks organization parted ways with Joel Quenneville, one of the winningest coaches in NHL history, for reasons the fanbase is still grappling with 24 hours later.
Wednesday morning on our radio show, my cohost Mark McGill (a Blackhawks brother of the deepest red blood) spoke with the mighty Dave Kaplan. He's a Chicago broadcaster from ESPN 1000 and NBC Sports Chicago, and if it happens with the Hawks...he's the guy to ask.

Danny Haney and I found a strong musical partnership in High School, 30 years ago. He was the best drummer I ever worked with, and when we played together we could read each other's movements and know exactly what the other wanted to do next.
Among the tapes I've been converting to mp3 files in the last few days are a few early examples of the two of us playing together: He on his drum set, me on my bass guitar. Not the best quality, and certainly not the best music...but it was fun, and it was ours, and we pushed each other to be better every time we played. We were both huge Rush freaks, and the name of the band on the tape is Subdivisions.
