Sean is a true entrepreneur.

It is so so important to hold others opinions in tension with your own in business. Make sure you make this a priority moving forward.
Getting a good guest for your show is essential! It is a must!
Here I run through 3 areas of consideration for what makes a good guest on your podcast
I am a big big fan of partnerships!
I have been thinking through and working on a few potential campaigns with my partners.
Believe it or not, I think podcasting is a great medium to introduce these campaigns and build out a full funnel for leads to follow.
I have a lot of thoughts around accountability in many areas of my life but have seen very tangible results of implementing accountability in the financial life of my business.
I want to share these thoughts and encourage you in how you can also drive accountability.
It is about doing more with less.
Solution Selling and Customer Focused Marketing seem to fly in the face of what we call Product Marketing.
Lots of buzz words here but there are some important points to be made.
How do you market your product but focust on the customer?

Some times we can take the basics for granted so here is a breakdown for you of content and why it is important for businesses.
So many business focus on only brand or only MQLs when it comes to marketing.
I am unapologetically of the mindset that you should only attach your marketing efforts to revenue.
This is especially challenging if you are selling to large enterprise. I can personally attest that it is possible and you should be religiously committed to driving revenue with your marketing efforts.
Everyone looks for growth, growth, growth.
I am too and want to share what I have found to work since starting my business.
Jake covers a whole slew of awesome topics during this interview about his experience building BlockIt.
I would highly recommend you listen to the entirety of this interview to learn about questioning assumptions, doing the right thing for your customer, building awesome software companies, and more!
Enjoy!

I am astounded with the one size fits all mentality people have when building and performing in business.
I have been binging "How I Built This" from NPR this week and am astounded with the variability in the way people build their businesses.
Give yourself permission to be unique.
I had someone tell me the day before I recorded this episode that they saw how well I was doing with my business.
This hit me strangely because in reality this has been a slow, hard grind at times.
After thinking more about this statement, I do believe my passion for the big picture must be shining through my content. I loooovvveeee building this business. I am passionate about it and it is exciting. I do however have micro failures often. Probably every day. I am working to be consistently confident in the slow build and protect against the temptation to allow failures and others opinions of failure to penetrate my mentality. Hard to do but that is what patient persistence is all about.

I am working on a customer's email sequence today and was thinking about what friction in the audience journey would look.
Too Many Forms, Too Many Landing Pages, Too Many Links
Keep it simple stupid.

If you are interested in engaging your employees, your current customers, or a network then you might want to consider the role of a private podcast. I am investigating this opportunity over the next couple weeks and will be testing it out.

I am jumping between meetings today and noticed that my questions have been a little off. I am throwing up some of my thoughts as to why.
Love the quote:
Judge a man by the quality of his questions not his answers
Leave a comment on the YouTube video. Would love to hear your thoughts
Leaving room for valuable learning in your contexts has been so important for me in my short career so far.
Make sure you are filling your mind consistently with "Just in Time Information"
Tim Ferriss is such a great example of this concept. He never rests on his laurels but is consistently learning about what is new

If you have not heard of Grant Hensel yet . . . I have a suspicion that you will one day.
He is an incredible serial entrepreneur that I have followed closely since we were in college together.
He has started many businesses and successfully sold 2 of them. For a 27 year old, bootstrapping a number of businesses and seeing them through to scale is remarkable.

What you do off the platform informs how well you do off the platform
This was a great insight for me and is certainly applicable for podcasting.
I love audio but Social Media Platforms love video so take advantage of tools and create audio grams to promote your show.

Make sure you take this in light of the last episode but . . . . . Weekends are a great time to level up and out work your competition.

Daymond John is a big proponent of this since he did it the wrong way.
He says as an entrepreneur you need to listen to and take care of your body.

I have been blown away by the results of intersecting sales and marketing in my efforts for my clients.
The QAD Customer Podcast is a great example of this effort. I closed $60,000 worth of business off of 10 episodes. That means each episode has been worth $10,000 to my customer, PICS DocLib.
If you are a sales rep, don't wait for marketing to launch a podcast. Get after it!!

It has been somewhat challenging for me in situations where I have not clearly defined all the downsides.
Make sure you are rigorous about the downsides and think about the following categories:
Relational
Time
Money
Professional Development
Family & Friends
Missed Alternatives
