Fourth generation mason Matt DiBara mixed his first bag of concrete at age 9 and went on to spend most of his childhood learning the trade, eventually placing first in the national SkillsUSA masonry competition. From there, he branched out to attend the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where he earned a degree in Construction Management and Environmental Design. After graduating, Matt took over his family's construction business and relocated to Los Angeles, where he went on to be mentored by the likes of marketing guru Jay Abraham and business tycoon Mike Agugilaro of CEO Warrior fame. Since then, he has built up DiBara Masonry to become the leading masonry and concrete company in the county, working on some of the most prestigious and well known celebrity homes in the city, in addition to restoring a number of Hollywood's most famous cultural landmarks. Matt's true passion, however, rests in educating homeowners by empowering them with in-depth industry insight, much of which can be found in his upcoming book The Undercover Contractor: How To Not Get F*cked By Your Contractor and his recent podcast, The Undercover Contractor Podcast.

Mike lives and invests in Spokane WA. He is primarily a Buy and Hold investor but also does flips and wholesales. He walked from hi cushy engineering job in 2018 with no real idea what he wanted to do. Mike initially wanted to get into tech startups, so he spent a few months teaching him self how to code. He got his first start up gig in May 2020 that was unpaid, so he borrowed money to buy his first 2 rentals. After getting a taste of what mailbox money felt like, Mike got addicted and started doing whatever he could to get capital to buy more. He flipped some houses, cashout refied his primary, and cleared out an old 401k to buy more properties. He was able to get to 9 doors using that method before going full time into real estate at the beginning of 2020 when he started his own wholesaling/flipping business focusing on direct to seller marketing. In 2020 Mike added 20 doors to his portfolio and will be ending the year with 29 doors total.

Luckily, one day, Jesse Burrell got a job with a real estate flipper. He helped a little bit with the property management side. His career all day was to find owners looking to sell and call agents to negotiate deals. Jesse wasn’t getting paid a lot, but it was worth it to learn everything that he did. After buying his first house, Jesse got laid off and started waiting tables. He got fired from the restaurant for talking too much about real estate. Then, Jesse talks about getting a real estate license. It is a good idea to get an agent license depending on the state you live in. Charlie started as a full-time agent and then went into a salaried role. Initially, Charlie began in real estate for the money; he knew some agents at the time, and they were doing well. Plus, the flexibility is a big perk for Charlie because real estate allows for more time with family and friends. Then, Charlie describes what wholesale real estate means. Wholesaling real estate is when a wholesaler puts a home under contract with the intent to assign that contract to another buyer. The wholesaler will not fix or sell the property. Instead, they market the home to potential buyers for a higher price than they have the property under contract for. The wholesaler acts as a middleman; it is not as easy to understand as conventional real estate.  For complete show notes, go to https://realestateinvesting365.co/charlie/
