Fourth generation mason Matt DiBara mixed his first bag of concrete at age 9 and went on to spend most of his childhood learning the trade, eventually placing first in the national SkillsUSA masonry competition. Mike lives and invests in Spokane WA. He is primarily a Buy and Hold investor but also does flips and wholesales. He walked from hi cushy engineering job in 2018 with no real idea what he wanted to do. Mike initially wanted to get into tech startups, so he spent a few months teaching him self how to code. He got his first start up gig in May 2020 that was unpaid, so he borrowed money to buy his first 2 rentals. After getting a taste of what mailbox money felt like, Mike got addicted and started doing whatever he could to get capital to buy more. He flipped some houses, cashout refied his primary, and cleared out an old 401k to buy more properties. He was able to get to 9 doors using that method before going full time into real estate at the beginning of 2020 when he started his own wholesaling/flipping business focusing on direct to seller marketing. In 2020 Mike added 20 doors to his portfolio and will be ending the year with 29 doors total.

After that he ended up closing another 39 deals in the remaining 7 months of 2020 with an average gross profit of almost 17k! In 2010, two years after the US housing market collapsed, he was working as a business team lead for ExxonMobil in Papua New Guinea. Clint Bartlett is the co-owner of Dynamic Properties, alongside Jeff Cohn. Dynamic Properties is a real estate solutions company based out of Nebraska. They are a family-owned business and focus on helping homeowners find solutions for their problem, whether they’re going through a foreclosure, can’t sell their property, or just need to sell their house. Clint got a degree in social work because he thought it was the easiest, and there were a lot of females in the program. During his last semester at school, he realized being in social work meant living on the poverty line. He ended up interviewing at random places and got a job at Frito Lay in California. Jaromy Tagg runs Mid-Columbia Property Buyers - a reputable house buying company in Tri-Cities. Since the beginning, the focus has been on helping people by providing a fast sale of a home. This opens up options for people that feel stuck and are unsure of what to do or where to turn. In this episode, Jaromy Tagg explains how he started working in real estate part-time. When he learned about wholesaling – he was in disbelief. Jaromy understood the concept but did not have proof that it worked. In reality, Jaromy just wanted another source of income. Teaching guitar, he was trading his time for money; he knew he needed to start a side business. Jaromy saw a property for $90,000, and he knew he could get more for it. He promised the homeowner he could get it in thirty days. In reality, the property wasn't that good of a deal. Charlie started as a full-time agent and then went into a salaried role. Initially, Charlie began in real estate for the money; he knew some agents at the time, and they were doing well. Plus, the flexibility is a big perk for Charlie because real estate allows for more time with family and friends. Then, Charlie describes what wholesale real estate means. Wholesaling real estate is when a wholesaler puts a home under contract with the intent to assign that contract to another buyer. The wholesaler will not fix or sell the property. Instead, they market the home to potential buyers for a higher price than they have the property under contract for. Zach Hoereth is in his 4th year at university studying business management. At first, he went to school in Florida, where he realized his passion for real estate. Zach worked for a lease to own rental company; he thought it would just be an hourly gig, then the company wanted to pay him commission to make sales on top of his hourly rate. This was when things sparked Zach’s interest because of the consistent income and big commission checks. Eventually, Zach ended up getting his license and would lease places to other college students. He realized the people he leased houses to ended up being the people who were making all of the money.
