The sermon defines true Christian freedom not as political liberty or license to sin, but as a spiritual stance of being released from condemnation through Christ's finished work. God's love is not measured in our comfort... however, when we suffer we do doubt His love. This message discusses how to KNOW his love is true and how he never fails us during trials.
You can have joy, but it is not tied to your works or circumstances - how to cultivate it and live it.

Jesus' death on the cross did something. It did not provide a possible work or an offer of hope, it is the hope. A finished and accomplished redemption.-Today we will look at the New Testament context of this truth and show that in proof texts and whole letters, the Gospel of Free - Sovereign Grace is the message that Jesus Christ died in order to save His people. The church exists through fellowship but many do not understand what that means. The first church naturally existed in fellowship.
The church HOLDS UP and DISPLAYS the Truth in two specific ways- First by holding fast to the teaching about Christ and His gospel and second, by living in a manner worthy of this glorious gospel- If EITHER of these fall away, the church is worthless, especially when one uses TRUTH to exercise REBELLION.
Continuing in the instruction to Timothy about the qualification of elders, we need to peek into the reality of what it means to be -able to teach-. I believe culture and tradition has removed this requirement and that what is happening in most congregations is nothing more than just rhetorical idolatry. --The elder must know himself as a servant of God and God's church and thus expound on what God has already given in the manner required of him.
What is an elder and what are they supposed to do- Well, this is part 1 of a multi-focus series out of 1 Timothy. We will show that the Bible alone prescribes and describes what a pastor-overseer is supposed to do and be for the sake of preparing the body for the work of the ministry to itself and its community.
Does God desire the salvation of all individuals without exception- Scripture settles this with clarity- He does not.
Politics, social issues, opinions, and the like overcome our minds and lives in very negative ways. As believers we are not bound to the cultural -spirituality- that so many demand. We are free in the gospel of grace to live without fear.
Timothy was inundated with problems in the church because of false teachers who had made a mess of the flock. Paul writes him and reminds him of the gospel and also of the tools God had provided for him to overcome these anxious things. As believers, we can only rightly listen and apply God's word by faith. We believe His report and trust in His prescribed remedies. If God can save us, He can surely guide us in this anxious life.
James teaches us to look at life through eyes of faith while living accordingly. We should realize that TRIALS are part of God's sovereign plan to strengthen our worship of Him.
