Catch My Riff is a podcast hosted by Rehoboth Beach musician, producer, and artist Devin Canfield of the music group DD Canfield. Catch My Riff features musicians, artists, producers, audio engineers, business owners, and any one who is passionate about the world of creative endeavors. Discussions are centered around both the professional and private life of these individuals, giving listeners a glimpse into their stories, journeys, and life experiences as it pertains to their careers as well as their spirituality and mental health. This combination of private and professional discussions leads to a comprehensive understanding of how the guests have gotten to where they are now.
Over the years Andrew has found himself in a myriad of different entrepreneurial endeavours. Within the past 2 years Andrew has joined forces and created companies that cater to the needs of the everyday entertainer and musician. “Dummiez” - a safety plug for quarter inch (universally standard) inputs - was founded in 2019 with a mission to protect and ensure the longevity and safety of music equipment. In 2020 Andrew joined forces with majority owner Ric Hoke to launch “Waves” - a custom headphone product which uses state of the art mobile cell phone scanning technology to create your own custom molded earbuds made specifically for you. On top of these entrepreneurial endeavors you can find Andrew mentoring in the Music Business, Music Marketing, & Music Branding field alongside his entertainment company Forthrite Records. On this episode you can hear Andrew give behind the scenes info to Brother Oliver’s new EP Command Shift. We discuss the joy of creating. We look into the challenges and mindset as it pertains to music, the creative arts, & entrepreneurial endeavours.
Sam Capolongo was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in Montgomery Township, NJ. Throughout high school, Sam made his first attempts at song writing and in his later college years, Capolongo began pursuing an acoustic performing career. Soon before graduating college, Sam met singer/songwriter Marielle Kraft. They formed an acoustic duo that has since become very well known throughout the Delaware music scene. This prominent Delaware musician has pulled inspiration from some of Rock music’s greatest performing; including - Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters, Green Day & much more.

In 2017 Stablemate singer Conor Larson was deployed by the NAVY to the Persian Gulf. During his deployment Conor found new sparks of musical inspiration and he began recording new song demos on his iPhone along side the engines of the NAVY Cruisers he was aboard. Upon returning to the States, Conor and long time collaborator and guitarist Mitch Gilbert reignited their mutual songwriting endeavor and began the band/project Stablemate. Since then the band has added two more members: Singer Anna Larson and Drummer Daniel Blackburn. The Indie Rock project has released 3 incredible singles as we await the release of their first LP, “Shapeless”. Their music can be found on all streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.
Kevin Trout is a music photographer, videographer, and a brand/marketing content creator. The San Diego native always had an undeniable passion for music and in the late 2000’s that passion led him to becoming a recurring team member for the legendary Warped Tour. One of the many highlights of Kevin’s career include shooting, editing, & directing one of the most successful video campaigns of all time KONY 2012. Kevin has spent over a decade shooting and photographing bands like @blink182, @angelsandAirwaves, @dashbordconfessional, & so many more. You can hear all about how Kevin landed these opportunities in this episode. We discuss being in the studio with Angels & Airwaves as they record their new record, Storm Chasing, Warped Tour, California, the important of networking and building connections, and most importantly following your passion.
