These podcasts are guided meditations to help you embrace a sense of wellbeing. By the Leeds Recovery College.
A meditation and visualisation that is both centering and healing, using nature imagery and also the power of colour.
In this meditation, we think about what is good in our life, appreciate how we have overcome obstacles and visualise what we wish for the future.
A meditation done while standing up, where we develop the qualities of grounding, strength, stability and consistency.
Here we take five or so minutes to check in with our body and mind, setting ourselves up for the day.
A meditation and visualization, where we use our imagination to embrace the light and warmth of the sun.
This exercise comes from therapy modality called somatic experiencing. Useful for people who experience very intense emotions or who are experiencing the after experience of trauma. This is very accessible and simple. We advise you to practice this when you are in a calm mood. You are invited to find somewhere private, comfortable and safe. Invited to notice some distress you might be feeling.
This could be new experience for you and there and no right or wrong answers on how to do this.
Tuning into your sensations and with what’s happening with your body right now.
This exercise is simple and safe. Similar to mindfulness, find a safe place where you wont be disturbed. Encountered as part of the wellness recovery action plan manual by Mary Ellen Copland. Ask yourself how are you feeling right now? You are invited to ask yourself questions without knowing the answers, let your body do the answering. It's okay for feelings in your body to change. Spend time focusing on being connected to your feelings for a few minutes.

Awareness of each of the five senses is a guided meditation script that brings mindfulness to the senses and the beauty of this technique is that you can do it absolutely anywhere, as all you need is five minutes.
Take a moment to imagine you are in a healing place of peace, compassion and contemplation. Written by Daniel Tavet and Jackie Griffiths. Read by Daniel Tavet for Leeds Recovery College.
A short meditation where we check in with our body and take a moment to put aside our cares.
This is a guided meditation where you can use your imagination to develop inner strength, peace and self compassion.
